Food 5/5 . Had Firecracker Shrimp, Majestic Redfish and Creme Brûlée Service and Staff 5/5. Our server was very attentive, accommodating and very sweet! Ambience and Aesthetic 5/5. Outside and inside was very nice and relaxing! My favorite is the ceiling inside with twinkling lights!

Wonderful steaks. Filet and Ribeye both seasoned expertly. Great Brussel sprouts too!

J5 steakhouse is amazing! It is absolutely beautiful inside! The food is excellent! Absolutely get the French onion soup! The steaks are perfectly cooked. Our waiter Pierce was professional. The owner are extremely kind and care about the customers! I highly recommend going there often! It is our new favorite!!

Nice little steakhouse with a deck and space for the kids to run around on the grass. Our server was polite but he had to be flagged down for refill soda/beer/wine requests. We ordered the queso which was good but not really queso. It required a fork to cut into and heap onto the chips, which were tasty. Potato soup was chunky and topped with cheese and green onion. Our sweet Thai chili roasted Brussels were crispy and tangy without too much heat. My filet was delicious with a topping of carmelized onion, bacon and blue cheese. I would definitely go again!

Maybe just a bad night but my pork piccata was over-cooked and tough--and my brussel sprouts were burned to a crisp. Not sure they are making that piccata out of pork tenderloin. I came close to sending it back, but I struggled through half of it and gave it up. Nice remodel in the place---I wish the food was as good.

02/01/24 - This is an update to my prior reviews, and let me tell you J5 Steakhouse does not disappoint. The renovations they did a couple of years ago have made the restaurant feel more upscale, and if you get a chance to get a table in the room of "10,000 lights" definitely do it. The owners added these lights in the ceiling that look like the stars at night, it is really unique and adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. For this evening, we chose the pork piccata (hadnt had it in a while) with roasted brussel sprouts and the ribeye steak with a baked potato. What I love about the baked potato there is that the really salt the skin and it just tastes perfect! The brussel sprouts were perfect with the right combination of balsamic vinegar and they were excellent. The steak and the pork were cooked to perfection as expected. We also ordered the bread pudding, but forgot to take a picture of it since we took it to go. But it was excellent as well. The portions are very generous and we took home leftovers for the next day. The wait service is always top shelf, and the owner roams around and asks about the experience. All in all it was another tremendous evening with just amazing food. If you ever get up to Spicewood, please do dine here. You won't regret it. 5 stars for sure.

Had the pleasure of dining at J5. The potato soup was my favorite. The food was good.

My wife and I ordered majestic redfish. It was delicious! And cooked perfectly. I had the baked potato which was also cooked perfectly and delicious. Our server could not have been better. He did not hover yet he was promptly responsive to every need that we had. our food came hot from the kitchen. The ambience is country chic with a wall panel of corrugated roofing and wine bottle corks that was very interesting. Lights are low so it's I guess you would say romantic. I spoke with the owner or one of the owners and he was delightful. If you want to have a special evening be sure to put this as a number one priority.

Ravin(our server) swooped in to save the day. She more than made up for the bumpy beginning of our dining experience (we were sat in an area no one was assigned). Ravin was super sweet and attentive. We were glad she was our server. I had the ribeye and the cheesy garlic mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked to perfection as I like it between medium and medium-well. The potatoes were pipping hot and flavorful, reminding me of a twice baked potato. Took a dessert to go, highly recommend the chocolate torte, so scrumptious. The atmosphere at the restaurant exceeded my expectations by having outside and inside seating. The outside seating gave a vibe of community. Go here for a great steak, just make sure to be sat in a section assigned to a server.

Food is just not good/ my guess it's all frozen items cooked. The spinach dip is just weird. Looks like cheese that had spinach leaves mixed in. Never had any like that . Hamburger had no taste. Was definitely not a fresh made patty and was over cooked. Dessert wasn't even good. The brownie was dried out. There was no one in there for a Saturday night. Not one person at the bar . And sadly place is not inviting when you come in. Why did we go??? It was close by and kids meals are ok
