This hotel is in an amazing location - across from Cheer Up Charlie's and Stubbs. The close access to downtown venues and proximity to I-35 are pluses. We could not locate the parking garage though and due to the lateness, we just valeted the car. Cute interiors. Good value. The room got very hot overnight so be aware of this when setting your thermostat at night. Also, the elevators are slow enough to make you ask yourself if you are actually moving.

Platinum member with IHG here and wanted to use my points for a reward night stay so I booked a king room with a city view for 30,000 points. I was pretty dissapointed with my stay for the night at Hotel Indigo. It all started when I pulled up to this hotel and seeing it connected to a holiday inn, I had a feeling this wasn't going to be up to par. I was abuslotely correct with that gut feeling. The hotel lobby is very nice and they have a nice bar and resteraunt on site. The gentlemen who checked us in was very kind. Valet is $45 bucks so just an fyi. Checked into room 724 and when we got out of the elevator, the rainbow hallways took us by surprise. Just such an outdated feel right off the bat. Got into the room and there was multiple pieces of furinuture with dings and chips. I honestly felt like I was in a 3 star hotel? I think I have stayed at some nicer 3 star hotels than this room. For this hotel to call itself a luxary and lifestyle brand is a huge understatement. They should just call this holiday inn because that's truly what it is. THE ONLY GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS HOTEL, is it's across the street from Stubbs, which serves up incredible bbq. Your also really close to 6th street, perfect to avoid driving if your having a drink. Hope this review helps anyone who is wanting to stay in Austin and is debating between which hotel to stay at. If your looking for a 4 star hotel, don't stay here. Stay elsewhere, you've been warned. Stay safe out there folks!

Terrific service from start to finish. They were quick to set us up and told us about the restaurants, and even got us a coupon for a free appetizer at a nearby one. When we came back late that night our room was humid and warm. We called the front desk and they set us up in another room and gave us late check out for the trouble. They even turned down the air in the new room to set it up for us before hand. The next morning we had breakfast in the Ladybird and enjoyed the day. Only drawbacks to note, I see a history of poor AC and the parking is $40. The valet was helpful and on the spot, but man that was a shock.

Crashed here one night after touring Austin with a visiting bud. Hotel was clean, with spacious rooms. I also enjoyed the pool the next day; great place for lounging about on a lazy Sunday. Recommended.

First time in Austin, if there is a next, will not stay downtown. We were on the 6th floor and the music roared till early morning. I had a pair of ear plugs, but did not fall asleep until after the music stopped. The hotel was not as nice as I was expecting. The room was nice, modern decor, and comfy bed but slightly worn out. There was l very little pressure in the shower. The staff were nice and the valet and bar tender were particularly nice.

I wanted to update why I was moved to another room. I was given a handicapped room at first that had a noticeable leak on ceiling and a very noisy central heating system because there was nothing else available even though I booked way in advance. Secondly, I wanted to donate thirty albums from my collection to the hotel to aid with its theme and talked to desk clerk about it. She was excited to have them and I mailed back once I got home, but this very quickly became a very shady transaction because I was given a personal address with someone else's name, not hers, and she never reimbursed me for postage even though she agreed to. This disappoints me a great deal because I was trying to do something nice and was taken advantage of. It is obvious I cannot trust anyone there so that was certainly my first and last stay.

Our kink group was having a weekend-long convention here at the hotel last weekend. Since my husband and I live fairly nearby, we did not reserve a room in the discounted hotel block, so I cannot give feedback on the quality or affordability of the rooms. However, I can say we were very pleased with the convention space on the Mezzanine floor! You won't be throwing any huge conferences at this location, mind, but for our semi-intimate affair of 100-ish attendees, this venue was pretty much perfect. All the rooms were close by and easy to navigate to/locate. The spaces were comfortable with modern fixtures and cushy carpeting (my feet didn't even get tired standing/walking about all day in heels!). The restrooms were close by and clean (I saw the staff servicing them multiple times while we were there). We were also provided with ample water dispensers that were kept full and cool with ice throughout the weekend. I really feel like they took good care of us!One of my favorite aspects of the venue was the patio/lounge/pool area assessible from the 3rd (Mezzanine) floor. We were having wonderful warm sunny weather for a February, and this was the perfect spot to take a break from the hectic goings-on of our convention and just soak up some sun for awhile and recharge. Numerous lounging options were available on the patio, all of them cushy, along with tables (when we went to go get Stubb's BBQ across the street, we brought it back and ate it out on the patio-- it was wonderful!). We didn't end up taking a dip in the pool, but we were tempted. There's also a bar on the patio. There are many nearby eateries to choose from, including a food truck onclave. As far as parking goes, we chose not to park at the hotel (we heard rumor it was expensive if you didn't have a room), so we utilized the nearby church lot instead that had a reasonable daily rate. Worked well since we were just "visiting."The front desk staff and entrance staff were all quite kind to us, holding the doors, greeting us, and assisting us with our questions in a friendly manner.

Location is what is good about this place, it's also what is bad. If your are going to spend time on 6th Street or want to see a band in some of the music venues, this is a great place to stay because there is a lot of stuff very walkable from this hotel. However, if it's a weekend and your room faces one of those venues, don't plan on too quiet of a room. It's pretty loud. Bands play until after midnight. Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't love the Valet only parking. $30 a day if you are a rewards member, otherwise it was $40. We came and went multiple times each day.. meant a lot of tips! Never waited too long for my car, and the staff hustled so it was worth it. .

This past weekend I stayed at this hotel for one night. When I first went to my room after I had checked in my room was 82°. I had driven a few hours to be there so I was excited to lay in my nice cold hotel room, that was extremely hot. I turned on the AC and left to go get food and came back after a few hours and my room had been 80°. I tried to play around with the AC but it would not turn on. I called someone to come fix it and they sent someone to my room after 30 minutes (it was 6:30 at this time). Someone had came to my room and I went into the shower while my boyfriend waited in the room with the guy that was fixing my AC. Figured I take a shower since I had to get ready for dinner and I knew it wouldn't take long to fix. I was in the bathroom for an hour waiting for them to fix my AC when turns out they had to replace the whole thing. It had been an hour and 30 minutes at this point when the guy said it was going to take 30 minutes to fix. We had missed our first dinner reservation because we were not able to get ready due to two men in our room fixing the AC. I walk out of the bathroom when they left to go get the NEW UNIT to a hole in the wall that had a view of the street. I was extremely frustrated, disappointed and pissed off because I was there to enjoy my vacation which I couldn't even enjoy because I wasted half my evening with this AC issue. Two hours had passed I was about to be late for another reservation and I was not even ready when I called the front desk and had complained because this is something that should be looked at before giving customers the room which I paid a few hundred dollars for. After telling him what was going on he asked me if "I was interested in switching rooms." Are you kidding me? You're asking me this now after they had to switch out a whole AC unit which they didn't even put the new one in. They switched me to a room that was smaller than the one I booked after two hours and 40 minutes. The manager did nothing about it which in situations like this I feel like it's only right to at least do something for us for the troubles especially since I'm a diamond platinum IHG member and spend a lot of money at these hotels. Extremely disappointed, extremely unsatisfied, will never be returning to this hotel ever again.
