We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The air conditioning was really great. The bed was comfortable and our room, in general, was cozy and quiet. Although the bathroom was small the water pressure and temperature was great. We had fun exploring Austin and coming back to a nice room to rest and relax in. The breakfast was not as great as it normally was, so I'm not sure if the kitchen staff is different or on vacation. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

The room was nice with well functioning TV, a/c and nice bathroom. Parking is free and there is a garage, which is nice during the hot Austin days. Room was nice, perhaps a little dated, but bed linens were noticeably soft and comfortable. There is a nice restaurant and the front desk people were helpful and friendly. Location is good but access is helped by using google maps the first time, due to placement of the building.

Breakfast was amazing! The best part is that it was complimentary. The bacon had different cook options from lightly cooked to crispy. I chose the extra crispy pieces. They had two scrambled egg options-plain scrambled eggs and chilaquiles. They had tons of other options as well. The room was big, bed was super comfortable and the AC worked perfectly! I like my room quite cold at night so I kept it at 65 with no problem. They also offer free parking and free shuttle service. I highly recommend a room with the river view

It sort of pains me to three star this Holiday Inn because the staff was perfectly nice, but holy crap is the air conditioning is so incredibly hella loud that was nearly impossible to sleep throughout the night. Granted, I'm a light sleeper, but with earplugs and such, I'm usually able to sleep through air conditioners pumping throughout the night. Thankfully my husband and kiddo slept decently, at least!Anyway, as with most hotels, the walls are fairly thin - so I tried my bestest to calm my child down as much as possible. This location currently no longer has free breakfasts - I think it was around $14 a person for the breakfast buffet and it seemed only marginally better than what's typically "free" at other Holiday Inns. The "restaurant" area also had a bar and a very basic bar menu (burger and fries type food) should you desire to eat your other meals at the hotel. The "free" garage parking was pretty nice, and being within walking distance of Rainey Street. Like you could plausibly stay here, not drive at all, and just walk to restaurants and bars. We stayed here primarily for the lake access - husband wanted to take the kiddo onto the lake, which worked out pretty well. The fitness center was decent, nothing amazing, but the treadmills were functional, so what else could I ask for? Anyway, I would personally try not to stay here again because of the extremely blaring AC, but if you're not bothered by that sort of thing - have it it!

This hotel met my needs. Free parking in/near downtown Austin. Right next to Lady Bird Lake, and they have rooms which have the lake view. Good value for the price. Clean hotel, has a restaurant, bar, and gym. Walkable to Rainey Street District for bars & restaurants, but slightly longer walk to other downtown attractions like the Capitol and Sixth Street. $8-9 Uber/Lyft to core downtown from this hotel. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.

Mi finance and I stayed there this weekend. The Hotel's location is great and the bartender is awesome. The bed was extremely uncomfortable as it had a dip in the middle. Although the parking lot requires key access, there is no surveillance.

Holiday Inn Town Lake has gone to crap. Totally mismanaged top to bottom. I watched in horror as front desk staff yelled at guests. They apparently allow homeless to sleep in the lobby at night. Also, they don't monitor the parking lot, as there were multiple vehicles blasting rap music, parking illegally in handicap spots, and smoking weed in the parking lot at all hours. Multiple were trying to check in to rooms at 6pm in the evening and were being told that the rooms still weren't ready. The bellman was rude to guests. I would never stay here again.

Here for SXSW and what a great time we're having!! This hotel is in the perfect location with all the amenities and a great bar restaurant in the lobby. The staff is fantastic. I had a few questions about getting around town when Isaac B at the front desk helped me out and gave me options on how to get around. He saved me money on getting to the airport. Very helpful and very cool. He also has awesome sense of style Thanks for the great stay at the Holdisy Inn. I'll def book here again.

DO NOT - I repeat DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is filled with thieves who work for the hotel. The watch you and wait for you to leave and get into your room to steal your belongings. This has been going on for YEARS and they know it. It happened to me, police report filed and all they did was try to pay me off so I wouldn't report it. This place is completely unsafe and a complete dump.

There was no ice machine at all. The AC was so loud it sounded like a factory all day and night. The shower smelled exactly like a sewer. Even the tissues in the bathroom smell like the sewer. We asked them to bring up the toiletries and they said sorry you have to come get it. There were lose wires on the plug for the lamp. The shower had small pieces of cement breaking off on the bottom which hurt. We could hear all the other ACs going off and on. Parking was challenging.
