Hogans Jamaican Food Spot

Well well well look at this little hidden gem.We walk by this place on our routine walks and am always intrigued as they always have good jams playing.Not quite being connoisseurs of Jamaican food, we ordered the stereotypical thing to order - the jerk chicken. While I was waiting I noticed they also had ox tail. Ox Tail - although delicious, is quite a rarity in our restaurant/food scene. For those who aren't familiar with it, google describes it perfectly as "known for its rich flavor and succulent texture".Having similar above convo with the owners as we waited lol, they let us try a sample of the oxtail too.Guys! THIS is why I'm writing my review. Ok ok... this and the Jaimaican Patties. These two things are where it's at.The oxtail was perfectly cooked...tender...flavorful... mouth drooling.And what is a Jamaican patty you ask? We weren't sure going into it either. You have to see the pictures because the patty speaks for itself. There's layers of yummy flakey buttery pastry around a deliciousness of meat filling.We ended up going back and ordered the oxtail and patties again so I can vouch for consistency in what I speak of this place.I don't even need the sides. Just give me an oxtail meat plate with beef Jamaican patties and I'm all set.

Absolutely phenomenal and packed with amazing flavor. Best patties I've ever had. I hope this truck is shown as much love as was put into this food. Will definitely be eating here as much as I can!

Used Doordash and enjoyed the meal thoroughly. Got the large oxtail, large curry goat and 4 beef patties. Will be buying again. Husband is Jamaican and we go there every year. This is authentic stuff.

Went tonight and had the beef and chicken patties. They were excellent! Can't wait to go back and jerk chicken.
