This was our last stop for brunch in Austin, and let's just say it definitely did not disappoint! I loved the homey vibe of the restaurant. The decor perfectly reflected the place's history, and the staff was super friendly--even though they were clearly busy with the Austin Marathon in town. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and seated within minutes. The woman who sat us was warm, engaging, and even recommended a few menu items we should try.We started with the frozen Irish coffee and the carajillo, both of which were absolutely delicious. The carajillo could've used a little less ice, but it was still refreshing. For my main, I tried the fried egg sandwich with bacon (thanks to the recommendation) and it was everything you could ask for in a breakfast sandwich! The bacon was perfectly crispy, the fried green tomato added a nice touch, and the avocado and slightly runny egg made it all come together. I seriously didn't want it to end. But once I took a bite of the pancake, I knew I was in brunch heaven at Hillside! It was so fluffy, and the berry compote was amazing--you didn't even need syrup. As someone who's usually team waffles, I'd definitely switch to pancakes if they all tasted like this!I can't wait to visit Austin again just to make a return trip to Hillside!

We went here for lunch because we didn't have time to wait for Paperboy. What a find! The atmosphere is so cool. From the salt and pepper shakers that look like vials of medication to the decor on the walls. We shared a burger, which was very good but a little rare for my taste. They didn't ask how we wanted the burger, which would have been a nice touch. The fries were fresh and cooked just right. Very tasty and crispy. Overall great meal and will be on our rotation!

We came in on a whim after being unable to get into Paperboy next door. The steak and eggs ($26) were excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked, the chimichurri was fresh and flavorful, and the potatoes were crispy and addictive.Everyone really enjoyed the drinks, the buttermilk pancakes ($12), and the baked brie ($16).The interior is cute and stylish, with some outdoor seating as well. The staff was attentive.

For a 7pm dinner a lot of menu items were sold out which is frustrating. It's a very small spot so reservation is definitely needed. Ended up with the chicken sandwich due to my desired menu items being sold out and it was okay but nothing worth raving about. Very nice ambiance and friendly staff

The hype is real at this place! Love the aesthetic of this place as it used to be a pharmacy (I'm a pharmacist and this is so intriguing to me!). I don't usually go to places twice but this place is a few exceptions. I've been here for brunch and dinner and I've loved both menu. This is great for date night or small group gatherings. It isn't that big so I would avoid big groups. The portions are just enough, I wanted more but it's best to savory the meal than to overeat! Definitely recommend this place for brunch or dinner!

I had mid-week brunch at Hillside Farmacy with a girlfriend. We both got the Pickpocket, one of their signature fountain drinks made with strawberry and basil. It was the perfect refreshing beverage for a 100°+ day.For brunch, I opted for the Hillside Eggs Benedict which came with a side of potatoes and added a small side of fruit. The eggs were perfectly poached and the smokey chipotle hollandaise and spinach was a unique spin on a classic breakfast dish.Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was formerly a pharmacy in the 1920s and was restored in 2011 to its current beautiful self. There's lots of unique vintage items scattered throughout the restaurant. We sat next to a beautiful bookshelf full of vintage medical books. Make a reservation for Hillside Farmacy. It's definitely worth the wait.

I love the team at Hillside! They're always so friendly. The atmosphere is also a vibe, trendy but still homey. This is the perfect spot for a girls brunch or a date night dinner. The eggs benny and pancakes were the perfect combo and I can't wait to come back to try more! Pancakes were so fluffy! And the chipotle flavor in eggs benny was unique and so delicious! They have a small parking lot on the side that you enter through the alley or there's street parking around the area.

This was my first time here, and I decided to try it out since they had a Wednesday Burger Special: $20 for a burger, fries, and an Old Fashioned. We ordered an appetizer in addition to our burger. The steamed mussels with the white wine sauce were very tasty. I would have liked the sauce to have been a tad creamier. That would be my only ding on the sauce The burger was rather tasty and filling. My only ding is that it was a bit overcooked and not medium as requested. However, everything else was excellent. The fries that accompanied the burger were very appealing to the palate. I am not much of a bourbon drinker, so the Old Fashion was new for me. It was stronger than I was expecting haha, however, it went down well. One suggestion might be to have the option to substitute for another cocktail of equal or lesser value. The ambience was wonderful. It had a rustic look to it and the piped in jazz music added more flair to the surroundings. Service was great from the minute we walked in and throughout our dining experience. The Brunch Menu piqued my interest, so I will return to partake.

My parents were in town this weekend, so my partner and I took them to Hillside Farmacy for brunch. We arrived just after 9am and were immediately seated inside. We were thankful to be in the AC, given how hot it already was outside! Our server was quick and attentive and quickly brought us some coffee before taking our order. Food came out quickly, too, and we enjoyed a pleasant breakfast. The aesthetics inside are really unique. The place used to be an old restaurant pharmacy, so it still has a cool pharmacy vibe. Parking is free in the neighborhood and pretty easy to come by when it's not peak hours. Definitely not one to be missed if you're in the area!
