Hill Country Tasting Room

Wife and I had an amazing time here. We went in expecting a wine tasting, but we're pleasantly surprised to learn they offer tastings in wine, beer, and mead! I had a mead tasting, just for variety, and my wife had a "Bold Red" wine tasting. Just about everything we tried was exceptional. Elizabeth, the owner, is so personable. We had such a good time talking and visiting with her. We would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a relaxed environment, who enjoys a variety of tasting experiences to try Hill Country Tasting Room.

Hill Country Tasting Room is a cute bar with a fantastic atmosphere and super friendly staff. We rented out the venue for a party and couldn't be happier with how it went. Everyone had a great time and the HCTR staff made sure it went off without a hitch. We will definitely be back!

Who knew there was such a thing as mead but the wonderful girl behind the counter helped us with choices and filled us with lots of knowledge.My parents were staying at the cabins at onion creek right behind this place and when we stopped I saw a dog inside so I called my parents and said meet us up here and told my husband whoa we gotta pet that dog!I enjoyed the bead as I had never had it before and loved the inside decor and how the place is set up. Cozy if you want it, outside on the patio ( not for us since it was raining) up at the bar or in large tables.If you're in the area its definitely a must.

This place is so cozy, beautiful and tasteful! The beer and wine list is all TEXAS! Talk about supporting local. We loved it. By we I mean all 20 of us that came to enjoy their bar! Our bartender was amazing! Attentive as they come and she went above and beyond for all four hours of our stay. A huge plus also very family friendly with table games and even a loft area for the kiddos or for you and your friends. It is not a crazy bar atmosphere at all. Want to feel right at home without the hassle of cleaning before and after? This is a wonder place! Feel like just relaxing in a not over the top loud environment, this is the place too. You get my drift! It's lovely and the beer and wine simply perfect! Thank you for making our time there so welcoming and fun!

I definitely recommend this tasting room!! It's right around the corner from Salt Lick & Duchman winery and definitely worth a stop! We got a cider/mead/wine/beer flight (4 tastings, one of each).Very cool interior design. A hidden gem- I hope you all try this place!

Deepa made planning a rehearsal dinner from almost 5 hours away a breeze; helping me find a caterer and having the whole event go off without a hitch. Karen and Neil were extremely attentive and made everyone feel right at home. The wide variety of Texas craft beers, wines, and meads absolutely blew everyone in attendance away and we can't wait to go back to try the beverages we missed.

Been here twice and both times have been impressed with the variety and quality of their choices for wines and beers. Staff have been knowledgeable and friendly. Prices reasonable. Met the owner tonight - really earnest, smart and nice guy. Only downer- Geeks who drink trivia. Absolutely despise it. Awkward format, unintelligible announcer, questions relevant only to the very young. Won't be back for that.

Big ups to our new friend Jamie and his new place Hill country. Very quaint place with two stories and plenty of samples for the beer drinker or wine drinker. Your husband doesn't like wine? No problem. They got beer. And plenty of it. IPA's and Hefeweizen's will greet you at the door. Family and pet friendly place. We will be back for sure. Thank you for the awesome graciousness.

This place was ok. Didn't love it. Didn't hate it. My husband and I stopped in on a random day date through hill country on the way from Desert Door (excellent).

This is a great little place for wine or beer. They have a nice selection of great Texas wine and beer and the owner is a really nice guy.
