Recently we've taken to ordering through Door Dash on busy evenings when we don't want the hassle of a crowd.Twice now we've ordered pizza from Hill Country Ranch and been more than pleased with the outcomes. First, since we're not far from HCR, the pizza is always still warm when the 'Dasher' drops it off. But that also means that HCR is prompt out of the kitchen so the pies are warm and fresh when picked up. We get the individual sized pizzas, which is more than plenty for our appetites these days. We get two meals from the little pies. We'd had HCR pizza a couple of times in years past and always found the acceptable but unremarkable. Things have changed radically. This new generation HCR pizzas are exceptional. First, they are exceedingly generous with the toppings. Both of my pizzas were heaped with whatever came with the signature pizza and whatever I'd added. I'm talking loads of chunk pepperoni, lots of large chunks of andouille, mounds of chopped veggies. Enough such that you're picking up what falls off and trying to pile it back on (or simply stuffing it in your gob). And it's not just 'more is better.' These are quality ingredients. For instance, the andouille is deep in flavor with a pronounced fennel tinge and robust meat. Same applies with the pepperoni. And the jalapeños have genuine heat. The crust is above average, and the sauces work well. The menu includes more esoteric pizza formulas than I remember from days past. They sound exotic and delicious, and I'll be trying them. Door Dash or live in person. hCR has really upped their game, and I'm a convert.

We were happy to walk in and get a table after a hot morning of baseball. The restaurant was clean, bright and full of TVs to keep the boys happy with sports viewing. Our server was polite and attentive. The food was OK. I wouldn't order the fried ravioli again (not much in the way of flavor). My fries were warm-ish, not hot. My burger was good because of all the tasty toppings. My son devoured his burger so I'm going to say he liked it but opted not to finish off his aunt's pizza (rare!) because he didn't care for it ("bland"). Those of us that ordered burgers finished them off but mostly left the fries behind.

On return from a Hill Country wedding my wife and I decided to sop up some of last nights festivities at the Pizza Ranch. The menu was broad from chicken wings, corn dogs, pizza, and fantastic burgers. We went with the burgers and corndogs. Everything was fantastic. After 14 years operating these folks have their game down.

I have two reviews in one. My friend and I visited in January and I tasted the pickle bread for the first time. I try fried pickles all the time but I do not like when they are too greasy. My buddy and I went in during the sub zero temps in Dripping Springs. We had a pig lovers pizza and I love the pizza here. I love the dough because it reminds me of the fresh dough pizzas of New England and I love all their ingredients plus the sauce seems all natural and not very vinegary as many sauces I have tasted. My friend had a burger and it was a delicious burger he stated. We went again as a family just yesterday and once again they did not disappoint. We had the meat locker and it was phenomenal, we had to taste the pickle bread once again. My Father in Law had the cheesy bread and the buffalo chicken sandwich and his wife had a burger. The burger patty was good and seasoned. My preference would have been just a bit more pink but that is my preference. The chicken was good and juicy not dried out how many can be when deep fried. My wife had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars and still did 5 was because the grilled chicken was good and fully cooked flavorful and seasoned. Now the dressing was way too much and super over dressed. I know some people like it that way so no deductions for that. If you are in the Dripping Springs area I highly recommend this place. It is a Lorelai, my daughter, and family favorite.

We went there after a baseball game. The staff was very friendly and patient with us and our small army of amped up children. The pizzas were fresh tasting and the burger I had was super tasty. Nice seasoning and the vegetables on it weren't soggy and old. The place is small inside so keep that in mind if you are rolling in deep. Would definitely go back if I am down in that part of the city again.

My daughter and I have been coming to Hill Country Ranch Pizza for a few years. Everytime we wanted to celebrate something-this was our delicious little hideaway. She wanted to eat here for her 19th birthday today so now the entire family knows about it, lol. The 7 of us ordered Fried Pickles, a XL Three Little Pigs Pizza, 3 Chimichurri Burgers, a Teriyaki Burger, a 3 Chicken Strips meal, a Sub Sandwich, 2 Cinnamon Rolls and 3 slices Peanut Butter Pie. Needless to say, we all left incredibly full and satisfied. Their food does not disappoint! The icing to our fantastic meal was our server, Sarina! She was attentive, funny, courteous and a very gracious hostess. We never had to call her over-she would just intuitively arrive at our table to ask if we needed anything. Her customer service was impeccable! Now that our secret is out we'll probably be having more meals here...no celebration necessary -- a random Tuesday when we have a hankering for a delicious, juicy burger with bottomless fries and great customer service PS: Sit in the private alcove if your party is large enough-- it gives the feel of a private dinner party. Ambience at it finest!

Polite and courteous employees. Pizza had so much over-whelming tomato-pasty sauce and so little cheese, we were wiping the sauce off before each bite, and ended up just ditching the pizza. Disappointed because the reviews seemed promising. Don't recommend.

Decided to try this place because we were in the area, plus I had a Val-pak coupon burning a hole in my pocket. We were seated quickly, and scanned the QR code at the table to get the menu. Unfortunately, the way they have their electronic menu set up is awful. You can only view 1 menu item at a time and have to scroll (and scroll and scroll...) to find what you are looking for, no links to different sections or efficient ways to navigate. I asked for a paper menu but there were none to be had. All that scrolling was taking awhile so I asked the waiter to come back in a couple of minutes, as we weren't ready to order. We then waited for about 15 minutes for him to remember that we were there. When he finally came back, he was unable to take our order due to the fact that there was only 1 tablet available for the waiters and he had to wait to get it. So we waited around another couple of minutes and finally just gave up. I really felt sorry for the poor guy, he was obviously not experienced, nor trained for the job. Exasperated with the experience, we got up and left, hungry. Note to the owner - keep some photocopied menus and scratch pads on hand.
