Hecho En Mexico

The food was great and their soup was amazing. i believe it was a poblano corn chowder. Our server was fantastic and had some wonderful suggestions for our lunch.

Food and service were amazing! Our first time there and I couldn't ask for more. They had mole ice cream for dessert and it was way too much for two people! We got it to go. We will definitely be back!

came here a second time to give them a second chance because the first time was terrible but i did want to give them the benefit of the doubt considering the good reviews. the food here is absolutely awful. the salsa is not salsa at all, does not even look like salsa. the queso was definitely a block of cheddar cheese from HEB melted in the microwave lol. they HAVE to be paying for the food reviews because there's no way anyone actually enjoyed that food.

My colleagues and I stopped here on a work trip in Austin. It was located near the block of hotels near the airport. It is nestled in a small plaza, in which there a few other stores and a small gym. The establishment is very well kept and has a modern vibe to it. It provides a full bar and a variety of mexican dishes. We came around 4pm and were greeted by our server. She was unbelievable nice and helped us go through the menus to understand. We decided to go with several appetizers such as the guacamole w/chips and i believe tacos al pastor. Guacamole was great, as it was more authentic and in line with what is served in Mexico when compared to the very sour tasting guacomole you may get from a grocery store. Tacos were absolutely delicious and will be ordering this again when i return. For my main entree i ordered the enchiladas with 3 types of mole. The first mole was Mancha Mantales with Pork shank. 2nd was Mole Blanco with a cheese enchilada and the 3rd was mole Poblano with chicken breast. Of the 3 my favorite was the Mancha Manteles, as it was a very nice balance between savory and sweet. I will recommend anybody that is in nearby the airport to make the short trek over to try this restaurant.

We have been driving by this little hidden gem for so long, we finally had the chance to stop in. This is one of those spots that catches your eye when you see it, but then it always looks empty, so you hesitate and move on. If there's anything I have learned along the way, it's that empty doesn't mean that the food and service isn't amazing! As a matter of fact, that's exactly what it showed me during this visit. We were one of two tables that were seated during our visit, but we were also there at an odd time, being parents of a little one, you have to eat when you can! Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food itself was not only delicious, but the presentation was spot on, too! We did appetizers, main entrees, and dessert and we regret nothing! We are so excited to have found a new date night spot so close to home. Wr already recommended it to our neighbors (who own their own restaurant so their standards are high) and they went the very next night. They loved it too! Give this place some support, they are worth it!

The food here is unreal! Don't miss their ceviche, queso flameado for apps. The mole was incredible, I loved the three different types on enchiladas. The mojcahete bowl was a massive hit too- we have never loved chorizo more!

This is the BESTTTT!!!!! Tacos I ever ate i recommend to other people the employees are very nice and helpful please come to this place amazing FOOD they even gave me a extra taco

While visiting Austin we spent an hour trying to find a Mexican restaurant not a food truck. By chance we happened to notice Hecho En Mexico as we drove by. We were surprised and a little leery when we found only 3 diners inside. Samantha was so friendly, answered all our questions and even brought us a sample of the soup and moles. All were very good. I had an enchiladas sampler with three different proteins each with their own complimentary mole. So good! My husband also had enchiladas with verde sauce along with a cup of the house soup. All very yummy. Hecho En Mexico should be packed every night it is so good. If we lived in town we'd be here all the time. Try out this gem on Montopolis Dr.

Service was wonderful and the food was delicious! We had the Molcajete for two and it was a very generous portion, with chorizo and queso made in house.

Classic Mexican food. The flautas, fajitas, and queso flameado are delicious. ... There is a TV at the bar for watching the game.
