Granny's Tacos

We ordered from DoorDash. Good gracious, the food is exceptional.They opened up a brick-and-mortar bar next to the food truck recently.The tacos are somewhat pricey for street tacos ($6-7ish, but maybe that is inflated by DoorDash) - however, they are large, filling, and pack a robust flavor punch.I tried the shrimp taco and a bite of the migas taco - outstanding. The chicken quesadilla is also well-seasoned and delicious.The staff was incredibly kind (the gentleman in the truck asked me to wait for my order inside their bar, as it was quite cold outside), and the food was ready quite quickly :)

Granny's Tacos is one of my favorite spots to take anyone that comes in to visit me. The tacos are great! We went in on a Saturday morning. Service was excellent! The ambiance was great too! There is parking on site but you have to scan the QR code to park there. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered. We ordered the Chilaquil Green with Chicken and the Chilaquil Mole with Chicken both were delicious! We also ordered the Chilaquil Green with Egg and the Birria with Consome. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Granny's Tacos is on Austin Local's list of best tacos in ATX so of course I'm going to try them These tacos were mouth-watering greatness.The chilaquil taco is their most popular. It was a mess of amazing flavor. I got it with red sauce but you can choose between green sauce or mole too. It came with corn chips, onion, Mexican cheese, jalapeño, and sour cream. Definitely keep some napkins around for this one the red sauce got all over my face and hands heheThe ranchero taco came with corn chips, eggs, chicharron, pico, cheese, and avocado. The chicharron was ridiculously good. So crispy This taco has so much texture and flavor between all of the ingredients. 12/10 no doubt.The last taco I got was the machaca taco. It usually comes with steak, eggs, cheese, pico, and avocado, but they were out of steak so I got chicken instead. It was still great and super filling.

Love love love granny's tacos!! My fav is definitely the shrimp taco unfortunately on our last visit there was a food mixup. We ended up with no consommé for the birria taco and the wrong tortilla, BUT everything was delicious so I won't knock a star!

Granny's Tacos is an authentic Mexican taco truck in East Austin. I came for breakfast after seeing multiple strong reviews and did not leave disappointed.There is no parking in the lot but you should be able to find street parking on the same block with relative ease in the daytime.There's a few tables with umbrellas for shade but not much to say otherwise about the ambiance - it's a small food truck.I ordered three of the breakfast tacos including the migas (my favorite) and would say it's a top 5 in Austin (very good). Tortillas tasted fresh and the salsas were also very tasty (get the spicy salsa!)Would come back if I'm in the area, albeit there's a lot of very strong taco places nearby so it really just depends on convenience here!

I've been to this location before (the other permanently closed) and thought they were one of the best taco places! But now, I think it depends on the tacos you get. They're known for their breakfast tacos and I believe Migas is really good. The tacos sizes are pretty big and filling, which is great! You will definitely be full and don't have to worry about going to another taco place. Too much meat this time. It may seem more balanced if there were more veggies or crunchy onions. They have parking spaces!

Probably one of the best taco food trucks in Austin. They have a variety of choices and the portion is relatively big. The beef inside the street taco was very tender and tasted delicious with their verde sauce. I love the birria taco because it has a lot of fresh ingredients such as tomato, onion, avocado, etc. The tacos came out pretty quickly and it wasn't very expensive, worth a try if you are in the area!

Came here with a friend for lunch and really enjoyed this spot! The have some parking out in front of the bar/cafe/restaurant and the food truck outside with some park bench tables. We learned that you can actually go inside and order and they will bring your food to you if you do that, but we just ordered and sat outside. The food was great, I got the Al pastor burrito bowl and they did not skimp on the meat. Super flavorful and tender. The staff inside was so nice!! I would definitely come here again.

Outdoor seating with plenty of tables, and the food came out hot and fast!Food: Chilaquil Taco (Mole): Easily one of the best tacos I've had. The mole is rich and spicy, with fresh toppings of onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and cotija cheese. The crispy tortilla chips add the perfect crunch to the taco.TL;DR: Quick service, great outdoor seating, and the Chilaquil Taco with Mole is a standout!

Food was amazing. Flavors remind me of grandmas flavors. Service was great. You can order at the food truck or inside near the bar. Very comfy space and atmosphere.
