If in Austin go to this foodTruck! If you like doughnuts then stop at this spot! The chocolate doughnut menu is long but any pic is a winner. The original and the bananas and creamCheese with brown sugar wow! It's totally worth a cheat day of your dieting . Share one because they are big portions! Def winner

THE BIG: Located right off of South 1st street and West Monroe. Right across the street from Underdog wine bar. Pure outdoor seating food truck vibes with a big statue of a donut out front. Paid parking lot.THE BLACK AND WHITE: An Austin staple. If you're looking for a super sweet indulge, gordough's is your spot. They specialize in stuffed yeast based donuts. I typically get the Miss Shortcake, which has cream cheese icing with strawberries or the mother clucker, which is a play on sweet and savory. The fried chicken strips and honey butter on a donut is next level. To help ease the sugar rush, they do sell coffee for that nice complement.THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall a Miss shortcake cake set us back around $8. Super big donut and very sweet. Definitely a must visit once.

First off, the set up is cool. Its a trailer but they have a ton of outdoor sitting/doughnut garden where you can sit and enjoy. These things are not doughnuts, they are doughcakes ! They freshly fry and make all the doughnuts to order, and these things can feed 12. I got the peanut butter and jelly doughnut, filed with grape jelly, peanut butter icing, and pb chips.We came here after eating a huge BBQ lunch, so I was in the mood for something sweet, and boy was it sweet. Even though it was sweet, the doughnut pastry holds up to all the toppings and fillings, and I really have never had anything like it. Everything is truly bigger in TX!

Walk up service first time checking it out. The cashier wasn't feeling it that night! They have a really cute set up, unfortunately it was drizzling so the chairs and tables were wet. The Strawberry and Nutella donut was delicious and not expensive at all. Luckily, we walked since it was a short walk from our hotel. Heads up on parking on property - there is a fee for parking via a QR code...

A wild doughnut experience! This food truck offers some of the most creative, indulgent combos you'll find, though the price is a bit steep at $8 per doughnut. My group of three split the Dirty Berry-- topped with warm chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, and grilled strawberries. The perfect sweet treat. While the doughnut was delicious--crispy on the outside and decadent inside--the service was pretty slow. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, but if you're in the mood for an over-the-top dessert, it's definitely worth trying once.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am reporting to you, on National Donut Day (Also National Doughnut Day) from the trenches at Gordough's Donuts in the delicious city of Austin, Texas.I'm generally a fan of all doughnuts. I like the basic ones. I like the specialty ones you can get at the chain in downtown. The donuts at Gordough's are a step above all of these and among the best we've had in the world.We had the "Fat Elvis" as we knew we were only going to be able to try so much and wanted something with icing and were intrigued by the peanut butter flavor. We got it without bacon which our order taker said was basically a crime, but we're vegetarians so that was a crime we were willing to commit. It really was fantastic...HUGE too.We also tried what I think was the Naughty and Nice Donut...more basic in flavor with cinnamon and sugar - the one they say "started it all" for Gordoughs...again, a huge step up from the already pretty good but basic donuts you can get elsewhere.We're so glad we made a point of stopping at Gordough's on our brief visit to Austin. The treats here were unique and basically not something you can get anywhere else.It's all outside seating...although there was a line and people waiting our order came out pretty quickly. (Oh yeah, every single donut is made to order!)This is another one of this "If we lived near here it would be all over..." kind of establishments.We salute you Gordough's!

Fresh fried dough covered in a can of Nutella and cinnamon sugar glazed strawberries... how can you rate this anything other than 5. It's not the best food in the world but know what you're going there for and get it. If this was sold at a fair it would cost $15-$20 and they would have problems not selling out. Good stuff. Keep it up.

Donuts were 100/10. They honestly have a funnel cake like taste. Perfect crispy bite each time ! However, it took FOREVER. As in forever it took about 30 min for me to receive my order. But it's a cool vibe, so easy to sit back and chill if you have nothing to do.
