Burger and fries, oh my oh my!!!Golden Tiger has some great grub and the Lil' Cub burger is a favorite of mine!Fries are plenty for sharing. Their sauces are worth a dip.A food truck with a great burger, what's not to like?

Golden Tiger, the food truck behind Whisler, serves up a delicious smash burger that's packed with flavor! The patty is tasty but a bit messy--definitely a few napkins type of burger, so come prepared. We also tried the Tiger Fries, but they were a bit too complicated for my taste. Next time, I'll stick with simpler fries, like cheese fries or regular fries, to pair with my burger. It's great that you can enjoy your food al fresco with your dog, or take it inside Whisler, where the lively atmosphere and cocktails add to the fun. Overall, a fantastic experience with delicious food and a great setting! Fast, friendly service too! Always a plus!

Golden Tiger is a fantastic option for a smash burger or chicken sandwich from a food truck while hanging out at Whistler's! I'm not a drinker but I visited just to try Golden Tiger and was happy I did!FAST FACTS:* Parking - street parking available nearby but plan to walk a couple blocks if it's busy* Ordering - you can walk up and order or place your order from your phone on their website and pick it up from the counter when it's ready* Delivery - available online through Postmates* Open daily until 1:30 am* Located inside Whistler's so bring an ID to get in and you can't bring outside drinks (including water bottles)SERVICE: I visited on a Saturday night around 7:45 pm and was able to grab a table. I ordered on the app with an estimated time of 8:15 pm for my order to be ready but got the text to pick it up right at 8:00 pm. The workers at the window were friendly despite being busy!PRICING: The total was $38.97 after tax and before tip for a Golden Burger ($12), Original Chicken Sandwich ($10), and Tiger Fries ($14). The portion sizes are a little small for the price but the quality of the food was great.GOLDEN BURGER (8/10): The patties have great flavor and are the perfect thickness for a smash burger. The lettuce and onions were fresh and crispy and the pickles are delicious! The bun is a Martin's potato bun so it's soft, but does kind of fall apart. I wish there was a little more of the special sauce but thankfully the cheese helped keep it moist. I'd order this again!ORIGINAL CHICKEN SANDWICH (7/10): The chicken thigh was fried perfectly... it was crispy on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside. Just like with the burger, the veggies on it are fresh and the bun is super soft! Again, I just wish there was a little more of the special sauce... next time I'd probably order a side of extra sauce just to be safe.TIGER FRIES (6/10): These were good but there was almost too much going on... plus they get soggy SUPER fast so you have to eat them quickly. The pickled serranos added the perfect amount of heat and the chili and queso had the savory flavors covered. The pickles were tasty but I wish they were chopped up so you could get some in every bite instead of having to commit to a large pickle slice. I probably wouldn't get these again because I felt like the portion size was small for $14 but they were worth trying once.I'll definitely come back to Golden Tiger and would recommend it to others! I love that they're open late and serve quality comfort food that doesn't leave you feeling greasy and gross after eating it.

I was told Golden Tiger has the best smash burgers in Austin and I must say they were not joking. The burgers are juicy and flavorful.They are located in a food truck at whistlers. You order online so it makes it convenient and while you wait you can grab a delicious cocktail or beer at whistlers. The food came out quick! I ate the entire double it was so delish. We also had an order of queso fries which is a must. The queso has a nice kick of heat!

This food truck is located at whistlers and is the perfect spot to come for a drink with some delicious casual dinner. I was able to easily order online in advance and it was ready quickly. The food was exceptional! Highly recommend checking them out

These burgers are absolutely amazing. Tried them as an Imuber eats prefer, i've never been to actually location. The food however is to notch quality, one of the best smash burgers in the city. Highly recommend.

Tasty smash burger but I would get them at the food truck instead of delivery. You can definitely tell these were freshly ground as the texture of the ground beef is just right with a good ratio of fat. The negative is if you get it delivered is by the time you get it the fat will have rendered a bit and it will be a little dry. I had to add some ketchup to give it done moisture back- I know sacrilege in Texas. The special sauce was ok - it's not thousand island with a slightly tart aftertaste. The red onions were ok but they were chopped kind of big with a couple of bigger slices and the bits kind of gravitated to the back of the bun so I got allot of onion in the last bites. I'm not adverse to lettuce on my burger and it was a nice contrast. The buns are potato buns so nice and soft. A decent burger all around.

Food truck located in the back outside area of Whislers. The food came out quickly and was fresh. The Thai chicken sandwich was delicious and the homemade ranch had great flavor!

Ordered on Uber Eats and OMG the burger was sooo good! The buffalo chicken sandwich was also a smash but the burger takes the crown!Might even say it's as good or better than NADC Burger

One of the best burgers I've ever had. Don't let it being a food truck fool you. It's a must have!
