Golden Castle

Freaking delish! Was so pleasantly surprised after randomly finding this on Uber eats and not looking up reviews.Ordered 2 boxes of sliders, 2 orders of sichuan nuggets, and mozzarella sticks. Nuggets were slightly salty but so fluffy and the sauce was perfect. Sliders were killer - loved the purple onion and secret sauce. Mozzarella sticks were cheesy and perfectly cooked.Would definitely return and check out the other menu items. Prices were super reasonable as well

Amazing sliders! And great chilli-cheese fries. The pizza puffs were okay.Since they moved to Shrangi La, I can't go without these whenever on my drunken nights on east 6th.

Food: 5/5 The closest thing to White Castle that you'll find in Texas. I would venture to say that Golden Castle may even be BETTER than White Castle! Huge portions will punish you for having eyes bigger than your stomach. Service: 4/5 Our order took a while to make, but by food truck standards this wasn't bad.Environment: 5/5 Great location hidden at the back of Shangri-La.

The food wasn't bad but ridiculously overpriced and disapointing. I'd say the burgers are comparable to what they serve at Wendy's. If you're craving white castle, it's a better idea to get the frozen ones from the grocery store. Same for the nuggets. They called them szechuan spiced but there was no spice to be seen. They served it with a generic sweet and sour sauce. Cultural appropriation much? Summary: skip golden castle and get a 4 for $4 from Wendy's. Same or better quality at a quarter of the price. Both open late.

Everything you want from a steamed hamburger sliders, to mozz sticks, onion rings, fries, chicken nuggs and so on. This spot has all the deep fried crispy goodness you want with your drinks. It's truly all the frozen fried foods you'd feed a kiddo but elevated to a nicer level. So now it's adult junk fried food goodness. The mozzarella sticks are super crispy and flaky on the outside. The nuggets are offered in various seasonings and they're all packing their own punch that makes them something special, while still retaining a bit of McDonalds Boot charm. The sliders are a perfect balance of meaty, cheesy, bready magic. Everything is good. Why are you still reading, go!

I was super excited to try this place out. It was okay. It is exactly what you expect it to be....a White Castle taste alike. I want a huge fan of the sauce that came on the burgers, but it had a pretty good flavor. The fries were the best part... perfectly cooked. If you're in the area give it a shot but not something to go out of your way for.

Stopped into Shangri-La on the way home from Vulcan Gas Company (Comedy Show) and Golden Castle (food truck) is located in the outdoor patio area. I didn't expect much it, but it was love at first bite!We ordered the following:Mozz sticks with marinaraChicken Nuggets (I don't think they come out of a frozen bag, but I could be wrong. There's just something about these nuggets that hit different! Oh, and they're priced reasonably; incredible value!)Castle Sliders - dare I say these are better than White Castle? Ya damn right... I said it. Imagine White Castle before it got super commercialized; STRAIGHT FIRE!Go checkout this awesome food truck if you're ever in the area - soooo good!

The boys from Golden Tiger over at Whistles did a pop-up called Golden Castle that makes White Castle style sliders. It went so well for them they turned it into a permanent truck that sits on the patio of the newly reopened Queen Bee. You get a half size sliders for $12 plus tax and 15% service fee (no tipping) and they are just perfect. They remind me of White Castle for sure but they use good ingredients so it's possibly even better. The staff are all super nice and gave away food during Snowpocalyse so they always have my support. Come check out the new location!

Absolutely delicious, one of those meals that'll keep you from blacking out. Bravo Golden Castle
