Our seats - far from the stage- is there a band here? I can't see anything but a HUGE bar.
Live music seven days a week. We had a DJ. He needs a little work on smoother transitions into songs but it added to the ambiance
The biscuits are a must!!
Avocado toast

I recently stayed a night at Hotel Van Zandt, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and decided to have breakfast at Geraldine's, the hotel's restaurant. I wasn't expecting the food to be so exceptional, but it truly exceeded my expectations. We started with the Ranchero eggs, and WOWOWOWW, the flavors were absolutely on point. The eggs were cooked to perfection, with a nice, runny yolk that paired beautifully with the crispy tortilla. The dish also included refried black beans and tender barbacoa, creating a perfect balance of textures and flavors. Every bite was a delightful making the Ranchero eggs the undeniable star of breakfast. We also ordered the Benny G's, their take on Eggs Benedict. This dish had potato-chorizo, topped with a rich chipotle mornay sauce, and was served with a petite salad on the side. While the Benny G's was tasty and well-prepared, it couldn't quite outshine the Ranchero eggs. The service at Geraldine's was just as impressive as the food. Our server, Sage, was super sweet and attentive, making sure we had everything we need. Another highlight of the experience was the live music during brunch.Overall, I highly recommend Geraldine's if you're ever staying at Hotel Van Zandt or even just passing through.

Geraldine's at the Hotel Van Zandt is an absolute gem! I recently attended their jazz brunch, and it was an unforgettable experience. The classy atmosphere, combined with live jazz music, set the perfect vibe for a relaxing and enjoyable brunch. The drinks were exceptional - the espresso martini was rich and smooth, while the French 76 was perfectly refreshing. The Caesar salad with garlic dressing and chicken was a standout dish, fresh and flavorful, complementing the upscale dining experience. The staff were super friendly and prompt, even with a packed restaurant!Whether you're a local or just visiting Austin, Geraldine's is a must-visit for a sophisticated brunch with fantastic live music. Highly recommend!

We went for brunch on Saturday and it wasn't particularly busy. We had a large group but were served very timely. The jazz band added a nice soothing touch to the ambiance. We ordered the biscuits as well that were deliciously dense and salty paired with maple butter and jam. I had the shakshuka which was comforting and warm. The avocado and cheese were great to balance the acid of the tomatoes. I would prefer the eggs to be a bit jam-ier but the flavor was full and spiced.

Stayed at Hotel Van Zandt and came for a late night bite after all day at the pool. The band and ambiance was great! They were only open until midnight- would have been nice if it stayed open later. We got some food to share and drinks. Meat and cheese board, crispy potatoes and Ribeye. I can't really say that it was memorable or that it was worth the value but that is something you'll need to know going in. You are going to pay high scale prices. Service was great! I would go back for drinks and music!

We came here for our anniversary brunch and loved it! There was live jazz in the morning, which made the vibe so nice. The food was solid--we tried the avocado toast (it was okay), but the chilaquiles were amazing! They also gave us a free cinnamon roll, and honestly, it was the best thing we had. Overall, great atmosphere, awesome service, and good food. Definitely recommend!

We were only in Austin for a few nights and hoped to catch some live music on a sleepy Tuesday night at 8:00. Geraldine's did not disappoint. It's a cool upscale restaurant with a vibe. Fourth floor of the trendy Hotel Van Zandt in the Rainy St area. Their small plates are impressive. Excellent cocktails and wine list. We saw the Dan Radin show and he rocks out on a cello. It all made for a perfect Tuesday evening in Austin.

Our anniversary dinner was a dud. Had high hope it would be the same experience we had the first time. Service was just okay. We did not stay for desert.

Geraldine's is located next to the pool within the Hotel Van Zandt. The views are pretty and they had live music going when we went for brunch. Ambiance aside, the food and service leave much to be desired unfortunately. My huevos rancheros came out cold and the eggs on multiple dishes were overcooked. Our server was sweet but it took almost twenty minutes after ordering to get our drinks. With the plethora of brunch options across Austin, G's does not come close to cracking the top of the list.
