I've been to Gen years ago because I was attracted to the beautiful picture of the artichoke drink with the pandan leaf, agar boba, herbal jelly, and chia seed. My trip in 11/2024, the cups are no longer plastic so I can't admire the beauty that is the composition of this drink and it does take away that experience for me. It's located in the Chinatown area of Austin and there are so many food and drink selections in this center. This shop is always consistently busy and I love the selection, albeit, I've always ordered the artichoke drink. Parking is plentiful so no stress there.

The fruit teas are pretty good, I would avoid the milk teasFor the fruit teas you cannot adjust the sugar so everything is a bit sweet. I would say pricing wise the value is not the best. As Austin gets more boba places the supply demand should hopefully balance that out. If you're in the area it's a solid option. I would say HKTea and ChiCha San Chen are better

This four star rating is purely for the guava green tea which is not an official item on their menu. You will need to order in person and ask for it. Personally, I'd go for 0% sugar since the syrup already has sweetness to it.If you want HK milk tea, go to HK Tea on Dessau.

Popped in after having lunch in the area. It's a cute boba shop with a pretty large menu of options, ranging from fruit teas to milk teas, smoothies, and more. Service is quick and casual as most boba shops are - order at the counter and pay, and they'll call you when your drink is ready.I was in the mood for a fruit tea drink and opted for their "Austin" tea drink. It had a variety of fruit flavors in it from syrups, so the sugar level isn't adjustable, and honestly it had a pretty bad aftertaste because of that. It sort of tasted like cough syrup and had that gross, fake fruit medicinal flavor. I was not a fan of the drink, although the boba was perfectly chewy and good.If I ever revisit I think I would opt for a milk tea drink or definitely try something else.

I saw that this was a recommended boba shop for getting work done, so I came here to study with a friend. I got the Japanese mango kumquat green tea, which was so tasty and a perfect level of sweetness. It costs $0.95 to add honey boba to an already pricey drink, but the drinks are large and you can tell they are of high quality. The staff were kind and helpful as I chose from their vast drink menu. There is wifi, outlets, and really beautiful decorations. I adore the origami paper crane tree. There is a really cute shoes-off lounge area with sunflower decor. It was at times very quiet and also sometimes very noisy when we came on a Sunday afternoon, but I enjoyed studying here. There is plenty of parking in the Chinatown plaza.

I usually like to visit a place more than once before leaving a review...but this place blew me away on first visit and cannot see myself leaving anything less than 5 stars!interior design - very welcoming, warm, and with a little sunflower section for lounging I guess? Can't speak to its usefulness but hey, it's a vibe!service - fantastic! The workers were more than happy to answer my questions and help me customize my drink. But on to what really counts - the drinks! There were so many interesting flavors, but I ended up picking the Japanese Mango Kumquat Green Tea with honey boba. The barista told me that it was a great balance of sweet and tang, and she was not wrong! Great refreshing taste with just the right amount of sweetness. And the boba was chewy and deliciously honey flavored. Partner got the Vietnamese Coffee, which was also right on the money. Strong bold coffee flavor, sweetened just right to balance the bitterness. A+. no notes.

OVERALL: 3.5/5Am visiting from California, this boba place is better than the other boba in the area but is mediocre compared to what I'm used to.Ordered an Ohara oolong, 70 sweet & the oolong tea flavor wasn't strong. Tasted a bit too milky. Not enough boba & it was too soggy.Sister ordered the blossom assam with boba, full sweet. Boba was soggy and lacking as well. You might like this if you like lemon black tea.Employees were kind, but drinks took a bit longer to make especially for four drinks with four employees, and no one in front of us. We could also just be used to the efficiency in CAInterior is really pretty, Japanese esque & I enjoyed the vibes.Edit: I found a couple pieces of lychee jelly (?) in my drink that I didn't ask for!!

we tried the G1 Hong Kong milk tea, 50% sweet light ice and G5 Ohara Oolong milk tea with honey boba 75% sweet light ice. We loved everything -- the strong tea flavor, the milkiness, and the sweetness. Everything was just right. The varieties of teas are on the counter for you to sniff. Everything is made with fresh loose leaf tea. Cute Japanese seating. Ten out of five stars.
