I had the beef awaze tibs and then veggie combo plate. The awaze tibs were pretty decent (I'd give it a 7 out of 8). The sauce seemed more like grease/ oil than anything. The veggie plate was okay. The potatoes had a strange sour taste. The shiro wat was very delicious. I wasn't a big fan of the misir wat or the other lentil dish. Overall, the food was decent but not earth shattering. (I'm a big fan of Ethiopian food but overall haven't been too impressed by Austin's Ethiopian food scene).

TL;DR Decent portion size, above average service speed. Attempted to upcharge. 3 stars for food, -1 for dishonesty.I had the Tibsi Beef and was underwhelmed relative to Ethiopian places I've tried and other food trucks (eg halal carts)QUALITY - 6/10 -- There was more injera than meat it seemed. For comparison, definitely less meat than a halal cart combo salad. Beef was kind of dry and not tender like expected.Injera - not authentic, not 100% teff, I was disappointed about this :'(SERVICE - 5/10 -- above average serving speed. The lady who runs the truck has a kid (very sweet!) but spoke mostly not English (I was often confused who she was talking to)Attempted to upcharge me for the dish, despite both left + right-hand menus showing the true price. Agreed to the lower price after I took menu photo and showed her. VALUE - 8/10 -- Great for Ethiopian food, significantly lower value than some other places but seems above average for a food truck.OVERALL - 5/10 -- Has potential, particularly the other reviews mention vegetarian options which I haven't tried. Meat option and overall experience for me is a solid 2 stars however. Would not try again.

The Ethiopian tea, though a little scuffed with the Lipton tea bag tag, and lamb was all delicious and it's in the cutest little food truck park ever. The inerja was oddly sour and squishy in the plastic toy way and I couldn't palate it so I left most of it untouched. The salad and meats were really delicious!

I've tried all Ethiopian restaurants in Austin and this was the last spot on the list to try and omg it is so good and fresh. My GF was literally in tears eating this food because of how delicious it was. The owner is so sweet. Definitely recommend this place for Authentic Ethiopian food.

Pretty good Ethiopian food. Got the veggie sampler and while not quite as flavorful or larger portions as taste of Ethiopia, it was still a good deal and convenient. If you're looking for food truck food in that park that will actually make you feel good after eating, I'd definitely check it out!

Best Ethiopian food I've ever had in my life! The ingredients are fresh and the owner is super friendly. It really feels like a home cooked meal. Not to mention, the portions are substantial enough for lunch with a friend, or delicious leftovers later. The pricing is really affordable for Austin, and the quality is something you could easily expect in a sit-down restaurant. So good, that I embarrassingly have eaten here several times in one week!

Injera is a unique bread that may not be palatable to all because of the texture, but the meat item itself was delicious and so so flavorful. We got the #4 which was lamb and it tasted fantastic. Located in a food truck park with a bunch of other spots if you come with a group.
