Super cute and charming space featuring French Vietnamese cuisine. I ordered the chicken pho and it warmed me up from head to toe! The chicken was tender and scrumptious. What really stood out was the grilled chicken lemongrass skewers. I have never had that before when I ordered chicken pho.The broth was authentic with not too much msg like some other places. The meal was substantial. The mini size condiment bottles were super cute too! Service was good. They do get very busy so reservations recommended. The inside is a house converted into a restaurant, and there is a cute outdoor space with heater lamps. All in all a very happy experience!

Elizabeth Street Cafe is advertised as a French and Vietnamese restaurant, but I would say that it's more on the French side. We dined here for brunch with our large party (8 people) and they were able to accommodate us with a communal style table seating. Most of the party ordered the beef pho and I went with the bun bo hue. It tasted "cleaner" than the BBH that I'm used to and had a generous amount of meat and toppings in the bowl. Although it was a different experience, I would pass next time and just come back here for the pastries because thy were absolutely DIVINE. We ordered croissants for the table in almond, butter, chocolate, almond, and everything. Crispy, flakey, and tasty, all at once! We also ordered several banh mis to go (grilled pork was my favorite!) for the F1 event and they held up well after a few hours. The service was friendly and the interior decor is super cute. Parking is limited but there's ample street parking in the surrounding area.

TLDR: All style, no substanceElizabeth Street Cafe is a complete disappointment when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine. It feels like a tourist visited Vietnam, sampled the food, and then decided it would be a great idea to open a hip "Vietnamese restaurant" in Austin. The only redeeming quality is how Instagram-worthy the place is. Behind that bright pink door, the cafe is beautiful with its colonial, french, modern furniture, but that's where the appeal ends. True Vietnamese focus on the depth and flavor of its food, not the decor. That's why some of the best Vietnamese restaurants are the hole-in-the-wall spots. Just because someone wants to serve Vietnamese food doesn't mean they should... This was, without a doubt, the second-worst Vietnamese meal I've ever had.

Really cute and quaint restaurant with inside and outside seating. Very small parking lot but plenty of street parking surrounding the restaurant and there's a parking lot with meters next door.We started with the lemonade and green tea + lemonade and both were pretty salty; we later confirmed with the waiter that they cure the lemons for the lemonade which gives it a salty flavor. We ordered the pork buns, beef pho and the flank steak banh mi. The pork buns came out super fast and were delicious - the pho and banh mi took 30+ minutes. The waiters were very nice and hospitable about it but it was almost like they did a shift change when we ordered because we ended up with a different waiter half way through our visit so I'm not sure if that attributed to it. Overall very cute and food was good!

Came on Friday to check them out. They have a half off appetizers menu I believe starting at 3pm and it's during the week days. Parking lot is like 4 parking spaces, and 2 handicap parking. There are stairs, I didn't see a ramp. The street parking is on a narrow street, and it's just a line of cars and you pretty much better know how to parallel park. I actually got parking in their tiny lot. Went inside to check in with the host. They have inside/outside dining. Since it was still a decent weather day and just spent 2 hours walking, outside suited me just fine. They do have the cutest tables and chairs and bonus, heat lamps. I ordered the fried spring rolls. I asked how many you get and she said 6. You actually get 3 small rolls and they cut them in half. Had I paid their full price of $13.00 I would have been super disappointed. Their spring rolls are very tasty. I did enjoy them. The size and quantity will keep me from ordering them again. The fried spring rolls are good, but I will try something else next time. Used the ladies room before leaving. And the bathroom is very dark. To shine a little light, maybe it's not very hygienically clean if you can't see properly.

The quaintest cafe with French and Vietnamese food! There are a lot of parking options, though not a lot of good ones. Only like 3 spots and the rest is street parking (very crowded), parking in the metered lot next door (not sure what the price is), and a garage a little down and across the street ($3 for every 30min). It's decorated beautifully inside, although there aren't a whole ton of tables! There is outdoor seating though. Everything on the menu looked delicious, although it was on the pricey end. I don't think I'd ever order pho here because the prices are $20+ and it's much cheaper elsewhere. Their novelty items seem much more worth it. Service was really good and there is always staff walking around. We started with the beignets, which are 5 mini flakey beignets that come with both types of jam. My favorite was the raspberry jam. I found the beignets to be too doughy/undercooked inside, and they kindly gave me another order that was more well done. I ordered the French Toast which came with a scoop of this amazing ice cream, and my friend ordered the Red Curry Dan Dan Noodles which was a huge portion. I got full off of eating the beignets and half the Noodles alone. Do note that these are not your typical Chinese Dan San Noodles - they came in soup (typically they're dry noodles) and it has chicken instead of pork. So I don't even think Dan Dan noodles is the correct name for it - it's just seemed like their own noodle and soup concoction. Which - it was still yummy!Food came out on the slow side, and I saw our order sitting on the counter for at least 5 minutes before it was brought to our table. Small detail I appreciated - even though this is a fusion restaurant and their customer base isn't majority Asian, I was pleased to see that their default utensil was still chopsticks.

The sheer number of positive, high-ranking reviews should honestly speak to the quality of Elizabeth Street Cafe.We came for a weekday lunch and were impressed with the ambience, server, and both the quality of the food and the size of the portions. The cafe is a cute little spot with open, bright lighting and lots of seating. Our server was polite, attentive, and made some great recommendations for our meal.We started off with the Shrimp and Yam fritters. These were perfectly crunchy and came with a tasty Nuac Cham sauce. We then split the Bun bowl with Grilled Marinated Pork and the Red Curry Dan Dan Noodles. The Bun bowl was light, refreshing, and had lots of veggies. The pork had a great marinade with a real depth of the Vietnamese flavor. I think the Dan Dan Noodles was our favorite dish though. The red curry broth was deeeeelicious and brought the entire dish together. I really should come here more often to try more of their amazing food.

I'm upset with myself that it took me so long to try Elizabeth Street Cafe, it's truly so good. The restaurant itself is super cute. My biggest complaint is it's a bit small which makes some of the spaces pretty loud/a little cramped.Food: The ginger chili oil dumplings were to die for. I could've eaten a whole plate of those and been content. I went with the classic pho for dinner and throughly enjoyed it. It was super flavorful and the portion size was massive. I had pho for a week!Parking: Very limited! There's only a small lot, aside from that it's paid street parking.

I really enjoyed the patio it is dog friendly and inviting. We had a reservation and found the parking situation agreeable. I always worry when I go some place new in or near downtown. The menu has so many solid options, we ordered the pork Pho, the beef Pho, the shrimp and sweet potato fritters and a spring roll. I rarely finish my Pho for a variety of reasons. This place was different. I ate almost every last bit, and I really enjoyed it. I really appreciate how fragrant and fresh. The herbs were as well.We ordered some scrambled eggs for our doggie companion, and they happily obliged. When we sat at our table, we were given a dog dish of water as well .This is a big deal to me because it can be kinda hard dining out with our puppy friend. We ended up ordering various nonalcoholic drinks, the coconut milk, chai latte, the blueberry green tea, coffee and the green tea lemonade. Everything we had was great I'm kind of wondering why it took so long to try this place. I've driven past it 1 million times. No, we did not partake of the various pastries that they have available. We did see them in the case at the front of the restaurant and we noticed many people ordering them on the patio. I will have to remember next time order a few. All in all we had great service good food and thoroughly enjoyed our time I will be back.
