This is my new favorite place to hide out, eat a taco on a homemade corn tortilla, and watch the world go by. The tortillas are excellent and they are all very kind.

Was running Saturday morning errands and had some time to kill to grab some breakfast somewhere new. The staff very nice and kind. We shared the Abuela's Plate. It comes with fajita beef, chicken and pork with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, guac and sour cream for $16.49. It comes with 2 tortillas so we ordered two more. I would say you could probably make 5 to 6 tacos out of the whole platter if you are wanting to share. Portion size wasn't bad, but the meat wasn't amazing. It wasn't horrible, but I like a bit more flavor. They do not serve chips and salsa complimentary. If you like super spicy they don't have it, but were nice and brought us a store bought bottle of habanero salsa so that did the trick! Overall cozy spot with sweet staff, but the food just didn't hit the spot for me.

This was sooo legit and good, and it could be a 5, but because there was some kind of meat in my potatoes on the huevos plate, after I said no meat, I took it down a star, but only one because the waitress offered to bring new ones. That aside, I am sooooooo happy by boyfriend decided to come here instead of another taco truck on his first visit to Austin. This is definitely an unsuspecting gem of a find, traditional Mexican, good cheaper food, made with love by Abuela.

It's pretty bad in terms of food but the lemonade is delicious. Chips were stale. Homemade flour tortillas don't necessarily mean fresh. We got the beef fajita nachos, chalupa, and enchilada plate, all of which would have earned this place one star. You don't want to know Grandma's secret.

After having many good experiences at this restaurant and writing a stellarreview, coming here since they just opened and buying their food throughout the pandemic. This little waitress has an attitude. So for whatever reason they only put a tablespoon of onions on the side of the plate for the chilaquiles. Everybody knows that the onions go on top. Anyway so I asked for more onions and she just gets irritated with me about the whole thing and then charges me a dollar for it and then goes into some big justification about how people don't like onions. I do not care. Anyway I didn't tip her. She's got some kind of attitude. Anyway I work service industry I give absolute best customer service in my field and here I am on my day off at 8:30 in the morning and she's charging me a dollar for onions because they only gave me a tablespoon. Who puts a tablespoon of onions on chilaquiles? Anyway I think I'm going to start going someplace else for my Mexican food. Especially seeing that I have brought so many people over here all of my family eats here I've introduced all of my friends. This place doesn't know how to value their customers. In addition the food wasn't hot. What's the deal with that? The beans were like tepid. And the chilaquiles weren't even hot. It was so weird. I mean a dollar so I'll have a total of two tablespoons of onions on my chilaquiles. People don't know anything about customer service. So here she's being a little witch because she's got an attitude and now I'm giving this terrible review. So there you have it

Excellent down-home Mexican food with two very good salsas. Small place, not fancy but table service by nice people. Much Spanish spoken.
