El Chilito

Fast service.Good brekkie tacos and coffee.Perfect for a quick grab especially if you're in a hurry.

Took my three somewhat adult kids to El Chilito for dinner the other night, and it was a hit! We grabbed a mix of tacos--carnitas, barbacoa, and a couple of their breakfast tacos (because breakfast for dinner is always a win). We also ordered two vegan tacos made with mushroom, and they were really fantastic. I will be ordering these again when I go back. My kids went crazy over the carne asada burrito, and we all shared some chips and queso. Oh, and the agua fresca? So good! We even got to take the dog, since he was welcome at the outdoor benches. The vibe was super chill with the colorful patio, and the fans kept things breezy despite the Texas heat. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, including a snack for the dog. It's a super casual spot, but the flavors are anything but basic. Definitely a family favorite now!

I used to eat a lot of El Chilito when they had a location on Burnet Rd. I don't come to this location as much. But I do still like their tacos. My favorite is the Barbacoa taco. The meat is just so soft and flavorful. Breakfast taco favorite is the Cherrywood. Occasionally, I got their Barbacoa soup too, because why not, I love their barbacoa. But the best part of El Chilito, imho, is their salsa. It is unusually darker than any other salsa I had in other places. And it is very yum! The Burnet location used to let me buy a tub of the salsa. I kept in the fridge and just snacked it with tortilla chips. It never last very long in the fridge -- we just gobbled it up quick.

El Chillito is a good to neighborhood favorite for me! Whether I am heading out for a breakfast taco, coffee or even a soup they never disappoint.It's a great place to bring your dog (you can hit Alamo Pocket Park after). There are lots of picnic tables to sit at and a decent number of parking spots for those who are not in walking distance. The barbacoa soup may be my favorite soup of all time. There is always a taco of the month. You can also build your own. There is a daily happy hour as well which is a nice perk. The service is always fast and friendly!

Very good food. Service was very fast. The burritos are quite large and definitely can be a full meal by itself. I will be returning, very tasty breakfast burritos.

Needed a quick bite to eat. Grabbed tacos for a few people. Ordered online and picked up in :15 minutes. Staff was friendly and tacos were as ordered. Definitely quick and convenient and all tasted good. Will be back.

On my way to show a house to a client and my tummy said "Hey Girl we need food". This little spot was on the corner and when I saw tacos that's all I needed to know. Nicely kept outside eatery. Even a spot for the fur babies to chill with you while you indulge. I ordered 2 Pastor tacos on flour and was not disappointed. The stand lets you peek in on the action happening in the kitchen which I always appreciate. The flavors were amazing and spot on. I devoured my meal in minutes and was NOT ashamed. The staff was so nice and patient and FAST!!! Definitely one of my new spots. Maybe I'll see ya there

Another fantastic taco place in Austin! This place had plenty of outdoor seating! The beef tacos were very tasty. The beef had so much flavor that you didn't need any salsa, however I can't resist a spicy green salsa and this one did not disappoint. I also had the del mar shrimp taco, it had a light coating so you could actually taste the shrimp. Highly recommend!

Food was good but very difficult to eat since I can't sit at a picnic table. They had some long benches, but they were unstable.If they had proper tables and chairs, we would have stayed longer and enjoyed a few beverages.

This place isn't even a shell of what it used to be.The serving sizes have decreased noticeably, with the overall presentation and quality being very low and cheap.Do yourself a favor and go to a better ran and cared for business. Don't waste your money here.
