Dumont's Down Low Bar

Dumont's is my drunken clam, hands-down is my favorite bar in Austin, and it's easy to see why. My boyfriend and I always end up here for a night out, and it's become a tradition. The vibe is romantic and intimate, making it the perfect spot for date nights--or for people-watching, which we love to do. We meet new people every time we visit, and it's clear this place draws the kind of crowd that's all about good conversations and great drinks.The lore of Dumont's is that it's haunted, but honestly, I've only ever felt warmth here--the ghosts must be bringing good vibes! My go-to drink is the Velour, a passionfruit cocktail that's dangerously delicious. Let's just say I've had two too many before and ended up dancing the night away! The drinks are so good, and the prices won't break the bank, which makes this spot even more irresistible.The bartenders here are kick-ass, super friendly, and always keep the energy high. The only minor downside is that seating can be scarce if you show up late, but coming a bit earlier usually means you'll find a cozy spot.Whether you're looking for a fun date night or just a great place to relax and connect with others, Dumont's Down Low is unbeatable. Amazing drinks, a welcoming crowd, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back--it's the whole package.

Amazing bar. Great atmosphere. It's dark with moody lighting. Great for a date night. Wouldn't recommend going with a big group because it can be hard to find seats.Drinks are high end and will 100% leave you wanting more.One of my favorites spots in Austin

My party was looking for a speakeasy-like bar without a reservation and found this location for our Sunday night outing. There is a flight of stairs down into the bar, which gives it a speakeasy-like, hidden feel. The bar was a bit slow though in preparing our drinks despite it being less busy as it was a Sunday night.I ordered a New York Sour which I thoroughly enjoyed since I was looking for a sweeter drink. 4.5/5 The presentation was nice and the drink was a good balance of acidic and fruity.

If i could say 0 stars i would apparently Kyle and the bar manger Trevor hate there jobs and they made it very obvious TN some of the worst and most disrespectful service I've ever received interacting with these two genuinely ruined our night and they both give off bad energy! Serving cocktails and giving great service should come hand in hand especially at a place like Dumonts i suggest the owner get people in that actually love there jobs and want to represent the business in a positive manner.They were disrespectful offensive and just acted like they hated their jobs super sad to see! I would never recommend this business and would not recommend anyone come here!

This place never disappoints. Cozy and welcoming. Phenomenal drinks. Even when it's busy it's not rowdy or overwhelming. The bartenders are always ready to chat and give recommendations.

Quick bartenders and a great selection. They know their drinks here for sure. There was a lot of space to lounge without feeling alone.

I love that the Friday happy hour goes until 7pm! It's the perfect way to start the weekend. There's a limited menu for happy hour drinks but I ordered the Matador, it was very sweet from the pineapple juice. I also tried the mule. It was very dry but tasty. The atmosphere is so cool!! It's dark and intimate but comfortable. There are plenty of couches and chairs. The bartender was very friendly and delivered delicious drinks!!

I usually don't rave about bars, but this place had a talented bartender who made an amazing drink with peanut butter whiskey, which I think is hard to do. This place also has a cool structure with a bunch of barrels stacked on the walls and used as decoration. Super dim lighting with a whole bar available. This is definitely a great place to grab a drink with friends and partners!

After one visit, I already knew it was my favorite spot in Austin. The seating throughout the place was so inviting whether it was for a group or party of 2. Bartenders were knowledgeable and helpful. And the drinks were on point - strong and delicious! It happened to be Happy Hour when we stopped by so that was a bonus. Shhhh! Don't tell everybody!

Kyle, Chris, and Trevor were phenomenal they surprised our group with drinks when we were unsure of what to order everything was on point they killed it on table service easily the best bar in Austin! definitely a regular from now on.
