Great food even better service! We had a wonderful dinner. Make sure you try the burnt ends. They are fantastic and the pickled veggies that come with it aren't just for decoration. My steak was cooked perfectly and the Brussels sprouts were excellent as wellBarris, our server made the experience. He had excellent recommendations. He was attentive without hovering. Overall, everything you want in great service. Highly recommend trying this place

We've always had an incredible experience here! My husband and I love to come for happy hour and sit at the bar; but we've also come with other couples and enjoyed an amazing dinner in the dining room. Everything from the atmosphere to the service and of course the food is outstanding. I have to laugh about the reviews that mentioned people dressed in flip-flops. You do have to remember you are in a waterpark. And come on, any nice place you go to in Austin...you're going to see people dressed in flip-flops and shorts. It's Austin.

Service - 1* (server had a terrible attitude, didn't want to be there, seemed pissed at the world....get a new job!!)Food - 2* (steaks are awful!! Sushi is good, sides are mediocre). Drinks 4* (normally drinks are great. If you order a drink with blue cheese olives and you bring a drink without or with basic olives and not mention it.....sorry, not worth an $18 drink). Prices 2* (are outrageous for a family resort! Music 2* (can't hear anything, sounds like a screeching cat). Hard no for us!!

Made a stop at the resort steak house and it was a great choice! Apologies for the horrible pictures, it was dark inside and my camera just wouldn't focus. But the vibe was still nice and romantic, if you are going for a date night. They also had a talented lady singing and playing the piano. The service was great! We were supposed to have another server attend to us, but somebody else helped him and he did amazing.Overall, we did not wait too long for our food. We ordered two steaks as you can see in the not so great pictures and both my kids were able to share the mac & cheese and fries. The steaks were cooked to perfection and they put butter on top that went very well with the steak. No need for any additional type of sauce. The kids mac & cheese was perfect because some places lack the sauce of the cheese and this place hit it on the spot.Something that my husband really liked was all the choices of whiskeys they had and overall just drinks. If you are staying at the resort or nearby, this is definitely a spot to check out. We did make reservations prior to getting there however it was not busy at all for a Thursday night so definitely take that into consideration.

Food: delicious. Husband got the ribeye and I got the smoked salmon. No complaints. Ribeye was cooked to perfection. I love that the salmon skin was extra crispy. The sides, garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli, and asparagus cooked to perfection, trust me Ive had overdone broccoli before, and this place outdid themselves.Service: our waiter, she was sweet and welcoming, she recommended her top drinks, I ended up getting the raspberry wisp (strong but tasty). Ambiance: romantic, cozy vibe. Perfect for a date night.

Wife and I went here for a romantic meal. I feel like this setting misses the mark just a bit. Fake plastic candles on the table, kids running around in circles and adults wearing flip flops etc. it's in the middle of a kids water park so I understand why they are there, but I'm paying too much to endure the shenanigans is how I feel about it. Now I must say, my steak was excellent and the wife's was great as well. I had the Wagyu strip, she had a fillet. Both cooked to our request and we tried a trio of sauces. Bernaise, Bordelaise and chimchurri. The chimchurri could use a little work but the other two were good. We also ordered the "hanging bacon", which was far too sweet - seriously need to lighten up on the syrup glaze. We also had the burnt ends appetizer which was excellent- highly recommend this one. Service was prompt and attentive. And the speed with which our steaks came out was almost suspicious given the filet was ordered medium-well which usually elicits a plea to butterfly that cut - which they did not (pleased)! Furthermore, there was a dollop of COLD butter on the filet that did not melt and seemed straight from the fridge, this was unpleasant but we just scraped it off.

WOW! What a great dinner! We came here to celebrate our twins 10th bday. We started off with carpaccio and edamame. Carpaccio is delicious and my daughter ate all of the edamame. For dinner the kids got tenders and mac n cheese which was great. Dad had a filet with mushrooms and lobster mac n cheese. He devoured those I didn't even get a comp bite. So many sushi rolls to choose from. Wish there was more with raw salmon. I got the Godfather Roll. It was so good! Also the Toasted Salmon Roll which was very fresh. Our waiter brought out comp birthday cupcakes with candles which was a great touch. Bostan was GREAT! We will DEFINITELY be back again!

Service....Joey needed to be attentive to detail. We have the filet mignon, salmon, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. I'd give the food a 6/10. I'd give the service 1/10. Joey was our server. We decided to give this restaurant a shot for our anniversary. Would I recommend this place..."NO"I was expecting excellent customer service being located at a beautiful resort.

Review of DoubleCut Steakhouse - New Year's Eve DisasterThis placed should be called: TROUBLE CUT THIEF HOUSEI recently visited DoubleCut Steakhouse for what was meant to be a special New Year's Eve dinner, but I left deeply disappointed and frustrated. This was my first visit--and quite possibly my last--to this purportedly upscale, very expensive restaurant.Let me start by saying the atmosphere was anything but "upscale." There was no dress code enforced, and to my surprise, people were casually sitting next to me and my date in swimsuits, while we were dressed for a nice New Year's Eve dinner. I was in a dinner jacket, and my date was elegantly attired, yet we found ourselves seated next to patrons who looked as though they had just come from a pool. The problems escalated when it came to the food. We ordered a $69 porterhouse steak to share, only to be told they were out of that cut. The waiter then tried to upsell us a $200 steak, which I politely declined. Instead, I settled for two filet mignons at $58 each--bringing the total to $120, a $51 increase from my original choice of steak. Clearly, this was a bait-and-switch tactic. To make matters worse, my date ordered a $10 baked potato, but was then told they were out of baked potatoes and sold us $15 mashed potatoes as a replacement. This felt like another attempt to overcharge customers without offering value. The final straw came at the end of the meal when an 18% gratuity was automatically added to the bill--without any prior notification. This was especially frustrating because their website explicitly states that the gratuity is only added for parties of six or more. We were a party of two. As a result, I ended up tipping nearly 20% on top of that, which amounted to an additional $66.To top it all off, the service was abysmal. The waitress seemed ill-suited for such a high-end establishment, lacking the professionalism and poise one might expect at this price point. The entire experience felt like a money grab, with no attention to customer service or satisfaction.Overall, DoubleCut Steakhouse is an unscrupulous establishment that I would not recommend to anyone. The overpriced food, deceptive tactics, and lack of proper service made for a thoroughly disappointing evening. I'll be steering clear of this place in the future, and I'll be warning others to do the same.
