Discada

I love myself a restaurant that doesn't mess around. You got taquitos, and you can order them in batches of 3, 5 or 8. There's also an elote side dish but that doesn't matter. If you're a restaurant and you do one thing, you better do it well. Discada does just that, small tacos with beef and pork, very juicy and tasty, a couple of bites to eat them each. I liked them with all the toppings, including pineapple garnish for some acidity.

You know a place is good when they only have 1 entree on their menu. You only select how many tacos you want (3, 5 or 8) and trust me, you want 8. The meat was so well seasoned and the spicy pink salsa they come with is extremely good. These tacos are messy, but absolutely delicious and probably the best tacos we have had, period (caveat, we do not live in Texas). The elote was also quite good. My only complaint is they are small, hence why they call them taquitos. There have picnic tables (both covered and uncovered) and they bring the tacos out to you based on the number you receive when you order. It takes about 10-15min for an order and is very casual.

Worth the wait! Excellent tiny tacos (I got the 5 pack, but wished there was a 25 pack). I only came to sample the tacos, although I overheard some others talking up some of the sides. Waited 35 minutes on a Saturday which wasn't terrible. I was definitely left wanting more, so keep in mind portion sizes.Go for the... carnitas and the sauces hands down. 24 hour slow cooked? Yes please. And whatever they do to the green sauce, keep doing.

Delicious tacos and the elote bowl was so good. They only serve one type of taco here -- all you have to do is tell them how many you want. Friendly staff and good seating area with picnic tables. Definitely hit it up!

The most authentic discada in Austin! I love how much flavor is packed into each mini taco & that it comes out hot & fresh to order. Service was amazing & I felt at home. Now these are tacos!

This is a unique taco truck - only serving 1 type of taco (mix of 24 hour marinated beef and pork)! The only thing you order is the quantity. The staff was extremely kind and thankful for our visit. Multiple picnic tables in the sun and shade to enjoy your order. The meat was tender, juicy and a large portion for the bite side taco. The green sauce was refreshing while the pink sauce added heat. Definitely worth every bite!

I love that they don't have a menu and they serve one kind of taco. I appreciate the sentiment of doing one thing really well. Options for 3, 5, or 8 tacos. I got 5 and it was a good snack but to be full would go for the 8 next time. The pineapple on top is so subtle and adds to the overall flavor of the taco without being overpowering or overtaking it. The green sauce is so good. Fresh homemade ingredients made with care. Overall a stellar taco truck and out of the ones I had the chance to try in Austin it was the best one I had.

This little food truck is across the street from my apartment. The tacos are so cute and little and fun to share.Most importantly, they're delicious!! Fresh homemade ingredients that make you want to go back for more, and believe me we do.Great service!

At Discada, you don't get to make a choice. The choice is made for you. And you know what, that choice is decadent, authentic, and DAMN TASTY. They make the traditional tacos inside a hubcap, a street side speciality. A bit on the greasy side, so leave your diets at home!

Nut allergy friendly. They serve only a few things and they do them well!Ordered online for pickup and my order was ready at the window when I arrived.Parking at Discada doesn't really exist. You've got to park on the street nearby.They've got four shaded picnic tables, but that's about it.The tacos are a perfect 1-3 bite blend of meat and vegetables. Awesome snack. Great stop on the Austin taco tour. I'd rate it in my top three single street tacos in Austin.
