This place is a solid find! The space is spacious, clean, and has a cool vibe with fresh seafood tanks in the back--definitely adds a touch of authenticity. It's set up family-style with those big round banquet tables, perfect for groups or a lively dinner with friends. Came here for Chinese New Year dinner.Service was on point--super fast, both with taking our order and getting the food out. And let's talk portions: they don't skimp! Everything's served in generous sizes, so you'll definitely leave satisfied. Presentation-wise, the dishes are a feast for the eyes. Taste-wise, it was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The roasted duck and pork belly were decent but didn't quite hit the mark flavor-wise--maybe needed a bit more seasoning. That said, the eggplant clay pot was *chef's kiss*--absolutely delicious. The chow fun was solid but the beef a little dry and overcooked, and the fried fish? Oh man, that was a standout--crispy, flavorful, and totally dee-licious! Overall, this is a pretty great spot for Chinese food in Austin. Not everything wowed me, but there's enough here to make it worth a visit, especially if you're craving some hearty, shareable dishes.

If I can give half stars on here, I'd say it's just quite a tad bit under 4 stars. Situated in a mall filled with Asian cuisine, Din Ho lies as a solid option for anyone craving a family style sit down meal. The food was decent albeit a bit hit or miss. Highlighting the meal was the barbecue pork belly which was juicy and crisped to perfection. The sautéed eggplant with beef was a welcome taste as well. Unfortunately, Din Ho struck out big on one of our favorite dishes (Chow Fun). The noodles were tough and the flavor was lacking all around. Lastly we ordered the fried flounder which did taste delicious although it did have a large amount of roe on it which was very unappetizing. Altogether, Din Ho Chinese BBQ is a traditional Chinese restaurant that is a standout amongst Austin's Chinese fare but does not hold up well against NYC or Bay Area's cuisine of the same taste.

Din Ho Chinese BBq is my go-to spot for authentic Chinese food. Had a chance to share a meal with my church Pastor and his wife. They were also in search for authentic Chinese food. By the end of the meal we all agreed, we shall return...soon. Wonton Soup, combo fried rice, char Su(Bbq Pork), pepper steak, Moo-goo gaipn, and chicken Lo Mein. Every entree was delicious. The service was exceptional and we had a great table. This is what brings me back every time. Call ahead and ask about the wait time. It's not just my go-to spot. Parking can be a challenge, but it's there. Michael C - Georgetown

This place brought me back to California, in a good way :). This is probably one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants I've been to in Austin. I got the crunchy vegetable noodles and the three meat plate. The sauce on the noodles was amazing and there was plenty of fresh vegetables on the plate. My three meat plate consisted of BBQ pork, duck, and crispy pork. I recommend the bbq pork and crispy pork to everyone, if you've never had duck I would choose another meat. I personally love duck, but it is more gamey and you have to eat around the bones. The service was very attentive and the food comes out pretty quick.I loved eating here and it made me nostalgic of eating with my family at my hometown Chinese Restaurant.

Wanted some Cantonese Chinese food so tried this place out. The bbq pork plate was decent. The soy duck was just as it should be and very juicy, and the roasted pork skin was perfectly crunchy (but some pieces were dry, while others were succulent 7.7/10. Beef chow fun was almost really good, the noodles were terrific and had really wonderful wok hay flavor, but the beef was pretty hammered 6.7/10. Egg plant and pork dish was good and pretty typical 8/10. Fried flounder was ok, needed more of the soy sauce sauce 6.8/10. If I was in the area again I'd probably try some of their other dishes as they did look good.

Solid 4. I come from the Bay Area and do judge my Chinese Food experiences against the varied available Province options in San Francisco's and Oakland's Chinatown areas of those cities. I got food delivered and was very happy with my choices. BBQ Duck and Char Siu Pork was very tasty and the meaty dipping sauce highlighted with 5 spice/hoisin flavors was a perfect complement. I also ordered Black Bean Chicken without green bell peppers. Spot on flavors and textures without being overly salty. Shrimp fried rice without carrots and peas was perfectly seasoned. It could have been delivered with some hot chili sauce but wasn't. The price was also a bit high. I'll order from them again but not often.

The restaurant is very clean and has a warm and inviting ambiance. Their wonton soup is to die for! All of the food is amazing and very plentiful. Could not recommend this place enough.
