DeSano Pizzeria Napoletana

My family and I returned to DeSano Pizzeria for a goodbye dinner for my son who's heading back to college. We parked, walked in and waited in line to place our order. Upon arriving at the ordering station we placed our order with a man that took our order carefully. He repeated our order back to us we paid, got our buzzer and took a seat. Several people brought out our food as it was made so it was fresh out of the large pizza ovens that they have. The restaurant is well lit and has many places to sit. It is a family friendly atmosphere. After waiting for about 10 minutes we got our starter Faccacia bread with marinara sauce. It was really good. The bread was fluffy and not heavy. The marinera sauce had flavor. It was a good dipping sauce. For my main dish I ordered the Margherita Pizza which has tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil. I don't really care for basil so I removed it from my pizza. The pizza was delicious. I ate it with Garlic Butter which I recommend trying. The pizza dough was thin but the crust was thicker. The pizza was hot and mozzarella was melted which I liked. Overall the restaurant is bright with plenty of seating, easy ordering process, and the pizza is yummy. It's one of our favorite places to eat pizza.

Solid pizza spot! We got the Desano's pizza in the largest size which was $30. From the description on the menu, I was expecting more meat. The dough was really good though, the flavor was clean and fresh. But for me personally, the pizza is so thin that it doesn't leave you as full as other pizza establishments would. They have dessert pizzas too which look good!There's lots of seating, so it's great for a big party or large family. Parking can be found in the front as well as in the back of the establishment.

drove 15 miles to try this place. the pizza is just ok and i felt its bland. for a place like this you would expect a gourmet food. its not. on the plus side the ingredients are of high quality. portion size is small. we left hungry and dissatisfied. ambience and service is good. pizza is expensive for whats its worth.

Pizza was great - with wood fired pizza the crust can be really tough sometimes but the crust was perfect consistency. Service was great too - the guy at the counter cracked a joke when he saw my Darth Vader debit card!One thing is that some of the pizza was a little too salty for me. They're smaller than you would expect too.

I was in town and I saw the good reviews so I ordered it via Uber Eats. It showed up cold. What can you expect? It's Uber eats. I bet you the meal would've been 1000 times better if I ate at the actual restaurant.So with that being said, I'll give them four stars. The pizza was cold, but it was still good. I really wish I could've tried it piping hot but oh well this is the gamble you take when you use Uber eats. Next time I'm in the area I'll probably try to go eat there at the location. Solid four stars.

I got a calzone and although the ingredients and flavors were very good the calzone was very soggy, which was disappointing. All the flavors were there though so I think next time I should try the pizza. Service was quick and this is a self serve casual establishment.

Another 5-star experience for DeSano. I'd be lying if I didn't think DeSano is the best pizza place in all of Texas. I now live in Houston, and I probably think about DeSano at least once a month and how I wish they were in Houston.All the ingredients imported from Italy (maybe minus the water). None of those blasphemous things like ranch dressing or pineapple, just good ol' ingredients from the motherland.The margherita DOP is one of the classics, oh so perfectly balanced. This pizza makes wheat taste GOOD. The acidity of the tomato sauce, cheesiness of the... cheese, oh my god, it even has some char.You get the pizza pretty quickly. Plenty of seating, with paper towels, cheese, and red peppers. Restrooms are clean, and they restock the soap frequently.Move over Mona Lisa, Neapolitan pizza is the greatest Italian masterpiece. I give DeSano 5 chef's kisses, out of 5.

I'm not sure where these raving reviews are coming from. This is disgusting. Ordered on DoorDash. It specifies the pizza is slightly charred and well done. As shown in the photos, it's quite the opposite. It's so mushy and underdone. Unfortunately DoorDash won't refund me.

So i heard this place has authentic pizza with ingredients imported from Italy, and for me, it's justified. I haven't ever had pizza anywhere in Austin where even after stuffing yourself with half of a 12" pizza, you don't feel full to the mouth.The flavors are so fresh and yum, it feels so light, service is fast, and it is a low key place to hang out.Ordered the lasagna and nutella pizza, delicious!! The caprese plate also had the most fresh tomato, mozzarella, and basil. Definitely coming back!!

DeSano is in my rotation of pizza places here. It's consistently good, relatively fast, and has fresh, authentic ingredients. I find it really cool that their pizza ovens are even shipped from Italy! Literally bringing Italy to Texas! Genius! And it definitely shows in the quality and flavor of their food. They have long wooden tables, great for big groups (co workers, family, friends, & everything in between) but can also be cozy for a smaller table! The service is friendly and you can even watch them prep the dough and put the toppings on.
