Dear Diary is such a delightful spot that I've found myself completely charmed by. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the care and thoughtfulness that goes into every detail--especially the cups they use. I don't know what it is, but there's something about drinking from a beautiful, well-chosen cup that just makes the experience even better. One of my favorite parts of visiting was getting to see their art vendor spaces. They showcase so many cute, locally made goods, and I was lucky enough to be there while a new artist was meticulously setting up their space. Watching their attention to detail and care for their display was such a special moment--it really added to the sense of community that Dear Diary cultivates. The café is also super convenient, with ample street parking nearby, which made it an easy stop. Whether you're here for a coffee, to browse the art, or just to enjoy the cozy vibe, it's clear this place is more than just a coffee shop--it's a hub for creativity and connection.I can't wait to come back and explore even more of what this lovely little café has to offer!

I stopped by the other day for some coffee and got a hot pistachio latte with oat milk, less sweet. It was just what I needed. The service was quick and kind. The actual cafe seems like a good place to read or work, as it was very quiet even though it was fairly full. They also have a lot of locally made items around the store to purchase if you're into that.Overall seems like a nice neighborhood cafe that I'd probably frequent if I lived nearby.

Sweet and peaceful coffeeshop on the East side. I love how quiet and chill this place is - its small wih about five tables and a couch area. They are called dear diary because they have l community journals where patrons can write letters, messages, and drawings, which is so precious. Reading them makes me really happy:) I tried their matcha latte, very tasty, strong matcha flavor 7.5/10. Their banana muffin is kinda dry and flaky but flavor is not bad 6.5/10. Overall a good place to study or work, they close early at 2pm!

We value having a 100% vegan cafe in Austin. We always get great tacos, snacks, pastries, and coffees. The shop also has great local gifts and stationary as well as a good amount of seating. The service usually is quick and there's often free street parking. Only knocking it down a star, because over all the years we've gone, no matter the staff on shift, they usually seem annoyed that you're there.

I have been to Dear Diary probably more times than I can count. I really love their hunny bunny latte and their peanut butter cups are some of my favorites in the city! They are usually open early which is appreciated and everyone is always very nice. There is plenty of street parking if you can't find a space up front.I think it is cool too that they don't charge you extra for plant based milks, it's all vegan up in here. Plus they have so many cute artist goods around the shop, 10/10 check it out!

Accidentally stumbled upon Dear Diary while on the way to get a bagel, but was drawn in by the huge VEGAN sign on the front! Loved the grab and go options and had a yummy breakfast taco from The Vegan Nom. It was indeed Nom! While the coffeehouse space is quite small, there were many people on laptops there and tons of cute art for sale!

I went to Dear Diary shortly after they opened on a Friday morning so it wasn't busy at all. I ordered an iced pistachio latte and a breakfast taco which came out to about $11. While my safe choice is always an iced vanilla latte, their nice mix of syrup offerings intrigued me and I decided to say f*ck it and try pistachio. It wasn't too bad and had a nice nutty aftertaste which I quite like. The breakfast taco was the perfect to cure my early morning hunger and the salsa they have added a nice spicy kick. What stands out to me about Dear Diary is the small marketplace vibe they have where they sell things from local artists like crochet projects, earrings, ceramics, etc. Super cute and I think it really fits the Austin vibe. The place has some tables and seats, but I can see them filling up quickly when they get busier (aka not at 7:30 in the morning). In classic east Austin fashion, there isn't a parking lot but there is street and neighborhood parking around the area.

The staff is always friendly and very fast with my order in the morning. They always accommodate my nondairy requests and my flavor add-ons are always done right. The coffee is really good and so are the tacos. It's fast, delicious and convenient.

The iced tea with earl grey and soy milk is so wonderful! I added a double shot of cbd and whatever formula that they use it is awesome! I could drink this every day for the rest of my life. The staff are super kind and welcoming. So much cool products for sale in there, you could just spend hours perusing it all. Ten of ten this place is fantastic!
