Order the burger! Damn fine burger and I am now finding ways to add this slight drive into every week so I can have another. The place has been around and it's nestled into Austin or perhaps Austin surrounded it for how cool of a joint this place is.Fast service with walk up ordering. There are many beers and a happy hour for those looking to save a dime. Pool, darts, tvs, room to just chill - this place has it.Order the burger!

Fun college bar. Pitchers. Nice selection. Pool and darts. Chips and queso were an easy snack.

Awesome bartenders, great drink selections & fun darts league nights on Wednesdays! I'm here about 4x a month and have mad appreciation for the bar & kitchen staff who always keep us well taken care of! We're here for darts regularly, and this is definitely a spot we go to where they know our name... and we're here for it! So fun to be a part of the family when we're here...!Good food, good drink selection, a bunch of TVs to watch the sportsball games, and a great selection of tunes always playing! It's our Cheers!

Food was good, beer is just beer. Could be even better with a Bloody Mary on game day or liquor would have made this place a lot better. I feel like their model of having people stand in line isn't that efficient. Overall good place on campus.

Crown and Anchor has amazing deals on almost any beer you could ask for, they offer the typical domestics and tons of local beers. It's a great place to grab a pitcher with friends and they typically always have a game on to watch at the bar if you are just by yourself. They also have a pool table and I believe it's free to use after 7pm. They are also dog friendly and have a lot of outdoor seating with fans. The workers are friendly and seem to run a smooth operation. Love stopping by here when close to UT and want a quick pitcher with friends.

Crown and Anchor is seriously special for us, especially my husband - he's been hanging out there since his college days at UT. The cool thing about this place is that it's got that real college vibe going on, with pool tables and dartboards giving off major nostalgia mixed with the lively Austin energy.This place has got you covered on beer - in pitchers - at unbelievable and unbeatable prices. And the burgers? My meat-loving husband says they're next level amazing. You order at the bar, and they bring your grub to your table. I rely on the delicious French fries, which they serve in extremely generous amounts. What makes Crown and Anchor stand out is how it's keeping that old Austin vibe alive while everything else is going modern. It's like a living history book of Austin, one of the few spots still holding onto that older charm.Parking can be a bit tricky when it's buzzing, the on-site spots fill up quick. But there's more street parking around the place.Whether you're a regular or checking it out for the first time, the place's charm and commitment to quality easily earn it a solid five-star rating.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant due to the fact that it's in the University of Texas area. We drove up and there is a parking lot at the side of the restaurant. There is also parking up front but there aren't many spots. We walked in the restaurant and were greeted at the counter by a nice guy. He gave us some menus to look at and then we placed our order and paid. He asked us where we were sitting and we said outside. This restaurant has a laid back atmosphere. The inside of the restaurant has pool tables, and dart boards. There was also some seating inside if you wanted to be indoors. They do have a selection of different types of beers for those who like to drink. After ordering we went out front and sat at some covered picnic tables. There were fans going which kept the area nice and cool. We waited for our food for about 40 minutes. Then a waitress brought out our food. My husband ordered the Classic Hamburger which is a burger that comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mustard and mayo. My husband chose to get it without tomatoes. I tried the burger and it was good. The bun was crisp and warm, the meat was good, and the lettuce, onion, mustard and mayo made for a good burger. The tortilla chips were crispy. The salsa was good. It wasn't spicy but it was flavorful. I ordered the chicken fajita tacos with cheese with tortilla chips on the side. The tortillas were soft and the fajita chicken was very flavorful. My husband and I shared the Super Nachos. These nachos have spicy refried beans, lettuce, tomato, onion and chicken. I was surprised at how good the nachos were. When they brought them out they were warm. The chips were crispy and the cheese was melted. The combination of the beans, cheese, and chicken made a good choice for an extra side to share. Overall this restaurant was a cool place to try. The ordering process was quick but we went when the restaurant wasn't busy. The service was okay and the food was good.

The mushroom and Swiss burger was good. I recommend the chili cheese fries. Overall great food and cold beer. The younger guy working the counter could have been a little more personable.

I finally made it here after hearing how good the burgers are from my boys. The burgers remind me of the awesome drive- in burgers when I was a kid. The size is just right, I prefer a thin patty. Fries are delicious, and seasoned well. Lots of brew choices. Friendly service and relaxed environment. In door and covered patio sitting. Pool tables, darts, board games and good music. I will definitely return!

Been going here for a few decades. Old Austin through and through. Good taps good burgers.
