My family tends to pick Colleen's kitchen for special occasions at least a few times a year. We keep going back because the menu has something that everyone will like and the service is always outstanding. We picked it again for family valentines dinner a day late. We arrived in time to enjoy their every day happy hour. Everyone ordered drinks off the happy hour menu and we also enjoyed items off the menu as well. We started with the deviled eggs and skillet cornbread, and then added the wonderful brussels sprouts. I opted to get the breakfast biscuit sandwich for my main and then added a side of grits. The happy hour menu is already a good deal but is doubly so when you consider the prices for the deviled eggs and the breakfast biscuit.Coincidentally, despite everybody ordering different dishes, all of us ended up with grits in our dishes. I'm pretty sure it's safe to save the smoked cheese grits our family favorite. From the seared scallops through the shrimp and grits and fried chicken along with my own breakfast biscuit, everybody was thrilled with their food. The service at Colleen's is always attentive without being intrusive. We were generously given more time more than once to decide what we wanted off of the main menu. Additionally every time we go at least once a manager stops by the table to make sure that we're getting excellent service. We always are. There are many restaurants to choose from in the Mueller area, but I will say Colleen's will always top my list

Went in for brunch at around 12 on a Sunday and we were able to get a table right away. Parking is a little challenging in the area because its street parking but they do validate parking if you park in the Simon Parking Garages they have a QR code you can use to do that. The food was good we ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffles that came with a really delicious maple butter honey syrup. The Full Southern Breakfast was also delicious the grits were really good! It's a cute place with good food lots of drink options too! The hot sauce they brought me was DELICIOUS it was really good with the fried chicken. I would recommend this place!

Colleen's was a decent spot for brunch. It's pretty big space that could accommodate a lot. Great central place to catch up. For southern food I do have a hard time with the price and portions. I got the crab cakes. It was good but they were pretty salty. For $26 the portion is shocking. I would think to get two crab cakes. The potato's were fine. Again it's a decent spot.Service was really good and they validate parking in the garage behind.

Colleen's is a very cute place with many tempting items on the menu. They have validated parking which is a plus. From the moment we were seated, the server was very attentive. They have booths that look super cozy with fluffy pillows. The food came out fast. The pimento cheese starter was fabulous. I couldn't stop eating it! Def have to mix in the jam! I also ordered a spirit free drink that was ginger based. It was a little on the sweeter side, but good for the price point. I ordered the biscuit, which was ok. My egg was a little burnt and the biscuit was a bit too cooked for my liking, but it was satisfying for the portion I was looking for. I would def give it a chance. My friend had a plate that looked great too! So just find your palate is craving! It's also in a great area of shops and such, so if you want to do some walking before or after, it's great for that!

Biscuits - taste better than what they look. The tomato jam tastes like strawberry jam - I enjoyed it! Fried chicken - it was okay. The chicken was cooked perfectly (juicy, not dry meat + a nice crust ), but it needed more seasoning. It really needed a sauce or something for flavor. The ambiance is cute and the customer service was great. Super friendly and the service was fast! Got our food quickly. However, I would try something else if I went again though. I was a little underwhelmed.

This was my first visit to Colleen's Kitchen. My friend--a seasoned regular--recommended we meet for Happy Hour. The weather was too good to pass up, so we grabbed a table outside. We were enjoying ourselves outside when a bee decided our Happy Hour needed some extra buzz. This bee was determined to join the party, and after several failed negotiations, we decided to move indoors. I had a French 75--it was light, refreshing, and slightly fancy, it was the perfect drink to kick things off. For food, I went all-in on Southern staples: a Cobb salad, deviled eggs, and fried green tomatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service? Impeccable. The food? Fantastic. The bee? A little overenthusiastic. But hey, even they know Colleen's is worth the buzz.

I feel like Colleen's is very under rated. Since it's not right down town I don't think a lot of people know of it/ think of it as an option. They have the most yummy food. I have been here on several occasions for dinner. Every time I order the buttermilk biscuits. They are so good especially with the honey butter! The green goddess salad and chicken pot pie is also very yummy and filling.Overall love this place and recommend!

Came for Saturday brunch. Great service from hostess to server to manager rounding to make sure everyone had what they needed and that things were going well. The pimento cheese with tomato jam was delicious and a great starter to share. The crab benny was tasty and fresh. My only complaint is that they do not poach their eggs. The place is clean and leans into the modern southern aesthetic.

Our experience, which otherwise would have been decent, was greatly impacted by our server being extremely rude and being charged the incorrect price when checking out. My husband ordered the biscuits with gravy, which was listed on their website AND menu in-person as being $12. When we got the check, he was charged $20 for the biscuits with gravy. We realized this before paying and nicely mentioned it to our server. She was incredibly rude, acted like we were the ones incorrect. Refused to bring over the menu. Luckily, they did "honor" the price as she said to us - which was even more upsetting because it's like why are you acting like this was our fault? Given this experience and customer service, I would not go back or recommend this spot especially if they just make up pricing that's not listed on the menu. Food was fine. Street parking available. Had the potential to be a nice ambiance if the customer service was friendlier.
