Cho Sushi Japanese Fusion

Dropped by Cho Sushi for lunch after a morning at Lake Travis, and this meal hit the spot! This restaurant offers a variety of lunch specials for a great price. If you're not feeling sushi, they have several other Japanese options to choose from! We got a few Sapporo drafts and some spicy edamame to start - yum! I ordered their two roll special (phoenix roll & eel roll). Fish was super fresh and they had a very good rice to fish ratio! My friends ordered the Cho Sashimi and the Japanese fried rice. The Cho Sashimi was high quality and the Fried Rice was delicious + a very generous portion! We wrapped up with some green tea mochi which was absolutely delicious.The ambiance was surprisingly lovely with beautiful Japanese artwork and dark mood lighting. Service was friendly! I'll be back.

Stopped by on a Saturday late and got a table right away. This is a quiet location, good for conversation or a relaxed dinner. We sat at the sushi bar and service was very quick. The menu does have a lot of options for specialty rolls and sashimi. They also have several starters, and dinner options that are not sushi. The shaggy dog roll was big and quite filling. The garlic edamame was good. If you like mild garlic, this is perfect, i prefer a little more strong garlic, but still good flavor. The rest of the table had rolls and sashimi, fish seemed fresh and everything was good.

My fiancé and I wanted to try a new spot around town so we found this place. We decided to go during their happy hour on a random weekday. We were seated immediately, and it was not too busy. It's a small, cozy restaurant. We started with the garlic edamame and shishito peppers -- both were delicious. We also had the salmon nigiri and yellowtail nigiri, both good. We tried three sushi rolls -- tigereye, spider and shrimp tempura -- all average and not the best. Overall, we had a good experience and glad we tried a new place in far northwest Austin. Not sure if we'd return.

We ordered take out so don't let the photos deter you bc the smushed sushi is a me error lol. We ordered the Steiner ranch roll and King Kong roll which were both delicious! At first I thought the King Kong rolls were pricey, but there are about 12 pieces vs the usual 6 or 8. The rolls were delicious and we can't wait to try more!

I grew up in an area with many authentic sushi restaurants so I have high expectations for sushi. We came here on a Tuesday at 6 pm and were seated immediately. It's very dimly lit and quiet inside. They have a happy hour menu from Mon - Sat 4:30-7 pm. We were a bit skeptical if it would be good, but all their dishes were great. Salmon nigiri - 5/5 fish was fresh and flavorful Yellow nigiri - 5/5 same as salmon, has a little kickYakisoba w steak - 4/5 noodles had good flavor, would be better with a bit of spice, a bit too generous with portionsTempura - 5/5 very crispy and delicious, has an assortment of shrimp, broccoli, sweet potato, string bean, pumpkin, mushroom, and bell pepperMr. King roll - 4/5 salmon was very fresh and the roll itself was great but a bit spicy and too much sauceOverall, I would recommend Cho sushi when you're in the mood for sushi/ japanese food!

Great intimate neighborhood spotfor quality sushi. We had edamame, misoSteiner Ranch and shaggy dog rolls. The service was great and restaurant was quiet and not too noisy for quiet conversation.

The sea-bass tastes really good. Sushi is just ok and a little bit pricey. The squid is tasty too.

Its a great little resty with fresh quality fish and great service! I really enjoy their cucumber salad and rolls.

Great intimate sized spot! One of my new favorite roles will be the VIP roll and I typically don't eat raw sushi but it was so good with a perfect kind of spicy. I ordered too much, our bill was $86 but below is what we got for that price. Staff was friendly and has a good relaxed atmosphere.
