Very decent Chinese food. I've been ordering and picking up food from this place occasionally over the last few years. They give very nice portion sizes and the food is always good. They make pretty decent Egg Foo Young, which is usually a good way to judge a place. Recently they fixed and cleaned up the restaurant nicely. Although you can eat in, they will serve in to-go packaging, so I've never eaten in. I'll be ordering from them again.

The lady that took my order was very nice on the phone. I ordered 3 dinners for my coworkers. The food was prepared literally in 10 mins. I arrived and my food was piping hot. Customer service was awesome. She was so pleasant she separated each meal and gave me a separate receipt for the dinners. The only issue I had was the traffic, there is no light as the cars are driving pretty fast. Anyho, everyone enjoyed their meals. The food was very fresh. We will be returning.

While it's not the best Chinese restaurant in town, I love the convenience of getting take outs here. My go-to's are the fried rice, noodles (all types), and soups (great for the flu season). Service is pretty speedy. Give them a call and everything is usually ready for pick up in 10 minutes. Ambiance: not suitable to dine in. They do have some booths inside, but I imagine it's for quick lunches.

Buyer beware. This is the second time I found a foreign material in the food. Last time was a small rock (not a bone) this time a small metal pin. This place is a hazard to the public. Can't talk to a manager unfortunately because no one speaks English. Very thankful I did not bite down or swallow this. Also they delivered to the wrong address. Had to walk over to neighbors house to get it

So I wanna give like 3.7 stars but I'll round up to 4/5. This place and Panda Express on William cannon are my mom's go to places for fast Chinese food. It's pretty standard stuff (eg sesame/kung pao chicken, fried rice, fried chicken, soups, etc etc) at reasonable prices. You can get a pretty decent amount of food from the meal deals so I appreciate that. The inside isn't anything fancy, I've only ever gotten take out from here and prefer to just eat at home since it's more comfortable but they do have some booths. The service has always been fine when I went, never bad but not stupendous either. Overall I eat here whenever my mom wants to but I don't seek it out on my own.

Go to for delivery. Fast and reasonably priced. Spicy fried rice is always popular at my house. Other faves are General Tso's chicken, tofu lo mein, and beef with broccoli. Get the meal and it comes with soup, egg roll, and wings.

Been coming here for years. Great food and quick take out or delivery. Staff is always friendly. Usually get the sweet and sour chicken meal, hot and sour soup, and wonton soup. This time I also go the spicy beef. It wasn't for me, but that's not to say it wasn't good. Great local place!

Nothing about this place was good. The chicken is FOR SURE not chicken. I was so disappointed my first night in Austin my family and I ordered almost $200 worth of food and every bit of it went into the trash. I wish I had taken pictures to show how horrible it looked.

China Hill has one of the coolest paintings on the planet painted right on the front window of their establishment. On one pane, there is an Anglo Mother, with two children and a husband all sitting at the table waiting for their food. Mom is holding a menu. She is calling a Chinese restaurant with a desperate air.On the other pane, a happy Chinese guy is driving his car superfast to her house with a backseat filled with Chinese food. All problems solved.* * *China Hill's niche is rapid delivery Chinese food.It is delivery only.No indoor dining. And I suspect that even if COVID were to disappear tomorrow -They would still want to be a delivery only Chinese restaurant. One consequence of the 1000% commitment to the delivery model -These people are fast.Really fast.Your food may take a while to get to your house because your Uber driver or Favor runner is a slacker or a layabout. But over at China Hill - they went from you ordering food to food in a bag ready to go out the door in about a nanosecond.I was completely impressed.I was also impressed with serving size. You not only get your food fast - but you get a lot of it.Samuel C. likes getting a lot of food.* * *Sadly, I was not so impressed with the food itself. My hot and sour soup was edible but not pleasant. I finished it - but I was eating to get full.Chinese BBQ spareribs are better. They are NOT the magical spareribs older people remember from when Chinese restaurant spareribs used to be really really good. The baked on glaze that made those ribs so special is not to be found. The ribs are fatty. The ribs are marinated - but the impact of any marinade is modest. So these are plain, fatty, broiled spareribs. But to China Hill's credit - they give you a lot of ribs.Plus the ribs they give you are pretty large.I probably got twice to three times as much sparerib from China Hill as I used to get in the American Cantonese restaurants of my youth. So I chowed down my spareribs more happily than I chowed down my hot and sour soup. * * *That said, if you want take out American Chinese in South Austin - go to China Dynasty on Slaughter Lane. That is a very solid establishment. But China Hill is not bad.The people are nice - and they work hard to get you your vittles fast.My guess is that if you played around the menu -You would find some items you really liked. Then having instantaneous delivery of something you are really looking forward would be a very good thing.Play your cards right, and you can do okay here.China Dynasty is a safer bet.

Not sure if they recently changed owners or just got new cooks. I've notice in my recent visits the food quality is not the same. The hot and sour soup tastes like ordinary soup. It no longer has the spicey sharp taste to it. Even the sheen is gone. The fried rice has been overcooked almost mushy. Used to have a variety of veggies. My order today, the rice not only was it overcooked but was bland with very few veggies. Also, the egg rolls were burnt, blackened burnt. Not edible. Not sure why those were even served. Disappointing, I really used to enjoy this location.
