I came in to this location today for its soft opening. For non-local folks, this is the sister restaurant to the China Family Restaurant on Airport Blvd. For the local folks, it must be noted that because this is the express location, the menu is limited and does not have a full bar nor karaoke space like the original. Shrimp Fried Rice- The shrimp for this rice dish is tender and juicy. The shrimp used here is fresher than most dishes from other establishments that serve the dish by the same name. This is obvious because the flavor of the crustaceans are definitely there and the manner in which the rice is prepared is authentic Szechuan. Hot and Sour Soup- This soup did not exactly bring the heat that one comes to expect in a dish such as this one but it was still a quality soup. The wait- It must be noted that the food here does not come out expeditiously regardless if the name of this sister chain is called "express". Therefore, you may be in for a wait. If you are not patient, order on-line and come in and pick it up. #supportlocal

This is my go-to for solid Chinese food in the North Austin area. I recommend the gen tso (it's actually spicy which I appreciate, chicken fried rice, crab Rangoon, and pork dumplings.

Second time ordering from here and I'm glad I gave them a second chance, first time I ordered when they just grand opening, food was so bad but this time is amazing, even the steam rice was good lol. I ordered sesame sauce steam tofu (special order) for my toddler and it tastes sooo good, for me was eggplant garlic sauce and it was yummy too, my friend ordered sichuan beef and he said it was good but he said more veggies than then the beef lol.The only less thing about it was Crab Rangoon, they could have done better. But for sure we will be back :)

Very happy with my experience here! This is the sister restaurant to China Family Restaurant on Airport Blvd (my fam's go-to Chinese food spot!) First of all, the ambiance is gorgeous when you first walk in. It definitely has a nice aesthetic! We ordered the Shrimp with veggies, sichuan dandan noodles, the eggplant with garlic sauce, Fish Filet in Chili Oil, and dumplings + Spring rolls for apps. All the food was delicious and super authentic and came out super quick!! The staff is SUPER friendly and they seriously treated me like family. Would highly recommend! Can't wait to go back

First time here- customer service was horrible. The cashier couldn't understand us. Couldn't answer any questions. We asked for our soup & extra egg roll to be served before meals. When we asked after 10 min of waiting -the cashier said no- the food comes out all together. The food taste was very bland- old meat. Crispy Noodles were stale. Lo-mein has zero flavor/taste. All the sauces taste the same-no distinct flavor.

A must try! Authentic dishes that were fresh, flavorful and good portion sizes. We ordered a ton of food (not all pictured). My personal favorites: cucumber & garlic salad, Shanghai noodles, mapa tofu and the homemade tea. All yummy! While it was not bad by any means, the so-so dish on my list was the eggplant.Staff was friendly and attentive. Restaurant had lovely decorations, was bright with natural lighting, and was clean. All in all ate like kings & queens and left full and satisfied. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

I have liked the main restaurant's food for years. I ordered Mongolian beef- the meat wad gray and had extra spices all over it. The sesame chicken was decent, would eat it again. The egg drop soup had no flavor. The Rangoons were very sweet, almost like a dessert. The tea was great! I would go just for that.

Ordered the chicken lor mein and a mixed dish (fish fillet with spicy sauce and chicken brocolli over rice) on two separate visits. Appreciate the lor mein as it is cooked closer to Cantonese taste (not too greasy or too dry) and sufficiently portioned (considering the recent food inflation around). The mixed dish was equally good as well as the spicy sauce is nice flavored especially when the meal is still freshly warm. The place has a nicely decorated dine-in area (though don't expect service as this is an express location) with ample of parking around the location.Definitely a more authentic version of Chinese food offering compared to the nearby Panda Express. Will definitely go there if in the area again.

I essentially ordered one of every entree on the menu and was very disappointed on all the dishes. Also ordered crab rangoon, very little to no substance inside. Seemed like just deep fried piece of wontonThe spicy fried chicken entree, terrible. Essentially dried up pieces of fried crumbs with hot peppers. The Lo mein noodles are greasy fettuccine. Simple items like General Tso and Orange chicken, awful. I threw out almost every entree because it tasted so poorly.

This has to be one of the best Chinese food restaurants I've ever been too. Fried dumplings are amazing the crab wontons are perfectly crisp with terrific filling and sauce to go with. Service is great super nice people working here. Chicken Fried Rice and Orange Chicken are some of the best if not #1 in my books!!
