Chi-Chi's Food Truck

Omg this food truck is amazing!! They serve up a Rochester NY staple. It's an incredibly flavored combination of meat, home fries, Mac salad, and most importantly a meaty hot sauce that is known to people from Rochester. They are called garbage plates up north, the plates are piled high with a ton of food and flavorful goodness. The portions are huge! It's is sure to fill you up. Great drunk or hangover food! I grew up on this type of food, and this truck will be seeing a lot of me. Really nice, friendly service as well.

This is described as garbage but that's subjective, lol. Literally meat, pasta, cheese and condiments. Somehow it works and I love it! Staff is super friendly and food is hearty. Delicious and not for people on diets.

My husband and I visited Chi Chi's food truck this afternoon for lunch. He's a Rochester native and I am a Giants fan, so it appealed to both of us. We both had garbage plates, his with cheeseburgers mine with a red hot and white hot. The macaroni salad and meats were excellent. The finest part of the plate; however, was the meat sauce topping. Dare I say, I liked it better than the one I had in Rochester. The owner is wonderful and kind, even giving us free water bottles while we waited for our delicious lunch to be ready. Amazing on a 109 degree day. We will definitely be back, on a cooler day.

One of the best secret gems in Austin. Chi Chi's brings New York style garbage plates to Texas. What is a garbage plate, you might ask? It's delicious and fatty stuff piled on even more flavorful and filling stuff. Burgers, chicken tenders, hotdogs, meat sauce, cheese, beans, potatoes, Mac salad, ketchup, & mustard. I tried out the cheeseburger plate and was not disappointed, the value for the price is great! It's a very flavorful combination, definitely recommend giving it a shot!

If you want something different I would definitely recommend trying Chi Chi's food truck!!! Food is amazing and full of flavor!

The pictures convinced me to try out this place and the garbage plates. And I do not regret it at all. The food and service was great.

We happened upon Chi Chi's after making a wrong turn and let me tell you that I'm so excited we did! Having grown up in upstate NY, my husband is very familiar with the garbage plate, so when we saw the sign, I had to do a double take! Stopped in and had the cheeseburger plate and it was awesome! The meat sauce is spicier than the original in NY, but delicious nonetheless. They even sell Zweigles porkers!
