They work hard at projecting a Stoner Vibe. Those days are 40 years in my rear view mirror lol. But they also work hard at making a damn good sandwich! I ordered a 12" club, which was plenty for two to share. It was stuffed full of meat and cheese and veggies on a nicely toasted bread. Honestly the best sandwich I've had in quite a while. I did take out and they have convenient parking in front for folks that aren't dining in. I feel like they take pride in what they do, and it showsThis place seemed so authentically Austin, that I just assumed this was the one and only. Thanks to the reviewer who pointed out that it is actually a chain! Happily, there is a location a few miles down the road from me in San Antonio. this place is honestly so good you would never guess it was a franchise operation.

I'm just gonna say you don't have to be in the state of mind the names of the sandwiches here would suggest. Ha! Though I imagine that to be even more delightful.Seriously, these sandwiches hit the spot every single time. I usually order the "nug" size which is 4 inches. Seems like it would be small but you'd be surprised. For me that size hits the spot. The way they toast the subs is great because it gives the bun the perfect crunch to softened ratio. The menu has several different types of subs, drinks, treats, munchies, etc. to choose from.I like that all of the ingredients always seem to be super fresh from the lettuce to the bun and everything in between.Super chill employees too. They also have cool trivia nights and prize give aways too. I can't wait to check out a trivia event here. I think the prices are pretty reasonable too. That's always a plus because quality isn't being sacrificed over price.

Did someone order a side of cold cuts with their lettuce? That's what it will feel like if you order the "La Canna." This was my first time to Cheba Hut, I pass by it all the time so I thought I'd give it a try. Disappointingly, I was not impressed. There was very little flavor, the condiments were barely noticeable, and the meat portion leaves something to be desired: keep in mind this is their 12-inch sub, which costs $15 The sandwich I ordered was on par with Subway but at Subway it's a little cheaper and comes with a larger serving of meat, and it's just as flavorless. Maybe their other subs have more flavor but I doubt I'll be coming back. Once I saw the mountain of lettuce I knew something wasn't right.

Cheba Hut is really solid and fun place to go to for sandwiches and has a cool bar. I've generally went with the kali mist which does not disappoint at all. It's in a great spot right next to Via 313 and Blacks BBQ - so if you truly have the munchies, this is your corner. I will keep coming to Cheba Hut because it does have very good sandwiches. Obviously it's a chain and I've had it in other locations (SATX, Madison WI - ugh don't ask) but being in Austin just makes everything better!

This sandwich was dank af heheh - honestly tho. It had roasted turkey breast, bacon, chipotle mayo, jalapeño, avocado, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and shake & house dressing. SO GOOD. They were doing a 4/20 special where each "nug" is $4.20 AND you get a specialty frisbee #worthit Cheba Hut was great. It had good vibes and if you couldn't tell by the photos- everything is weed-related #fun

A friend got me hooked on Cheba Hut a couple years ago in Vegas and I found myself craving them recently. Googled them and to my surprise there was a location in Austin! I've ordered both dine in and take out and this place always hits. I personally love the acaulpo gold (basically bbq chicken sando) on white bread. The chicken is always nicely toasted and love the smoky bbq sauce. The bread is one of the best imo, always very fresh tasting. Service was nice and quick! Prices are kind of expensive ngl, it's approx $11 for an 8 inch sandwich but it is super loaded and enough for two meals for me personally.

Exactly what you need for late night munchies!! I've had the BLT and the Chronic here and both were awesome. They have this house sauce that is similar to thousand island but it's their own version and it's amazing!! The people here are always so nice and the place stays clean every time I've walked in. If that wasn't enough, the music is PERFECT. Nothing like enjoying a tasty Sammie or having a cold drink listening to the music here. So chill!

Tried the French Dip sandwich at Cheba Hut today, and it was a bit underwhelming. The beef was tender and the au jus was flavorful, but the sandwich fell short in a couple of areas. The bread was a bit too soft, becoming soggy quickly, and the raw red onions overpowered the more subtle flavors. While it had potential, the execution left something to be desired. A good sandwich, but not great. Three stars. Also, add more salt into the au jus.

Came here with a friend for a sandwich after being out in the sun all day and our sandwiches were good but they didn't hit like we hoped they would. The bacon on this was super thin and definitely microwave bacon. I think it was lacking a fresh taste, maybe it would've been good with some vinegar on the lettuce. The staff was friendly and the inside was very decorated.
