Chada Thai Traditional Taste

Mediocre Thai food, terrible service with orders coming out at long intervals so meal can't be enjoyed with all dishes.Others complaining too. Won't return.

Thai food that will scratch your itch but probably about it. Given the bevy of Thai options in Austin, probably would pick one of the others but if this is closest to you it's fine on the way back from work or if you're hungry and in the neighborhood.Wife and I both got pad see ew (chicken and tofu respectively) for takeout and while it has the rice noodles, Chinese broccoli and protein, the sweet soy vibe wasn't quite there and didn't feel like there was enough of the wok flavor. Had to add some additional sweet Thai chili sauce at home that we had in the fridge to really make it flavorful honestly. My wife has also gotten the beef salad before that's super spicy.

My review is just for the house fried rice and Tom Kha soup. I'm usually a regular at Thai Lada but decided to branch out a bit for dinner this evening.The house fried rice was pretty underwhelming. Almost no color to it, very few veggies (almost thought I had mistakenly ordered the basil fried rice) and very bland. Thankfully I had a side of pepper oil and it added a bit of much needed flavor. The only pro is for the price it was a fairly large serving, and I'll have plenty for more meals during the week. Overall:3/5The Tom Kha soup was pretty good, and portion size very satisfying even for the smallest option. Nothing too out of the norm here, just standard tasty soup. Overall: 4/5Would I order food from here again? Eh, I think I've had better at other Thai places in the Austin area. I was really excited to see they had khao soi gai which I really like and find it hard to find. Theirs was tasty with a rich and pretty reasonably priced. We also had a Tom Yum which was very tangy with strong lemongrass flavor and my partner had the Pad Kee Mao which was also good. The ambience is casual and I think this is a great spot for Thai food in the Cedae Park area.

Last call for food n order is 8:35pm so we had to be quick to order.All the things that we ordered exceeded our expectations. Golden balls are oily and hence 4.5 and not 5 out of 5.Basil friend rice has that smoky taste and perfect texture. You can ask for spice tray like we did and it goes well with friend rice.Curry I ordered at medium spice was so good. It is one of the recommended dishes from my side. Perfect balance of sweet, sour and spice.

I was in the mood for Pad Thai and came across Chad's Thai on Yelp. I've not had good luck finding Thai that is good enough to make me want to go back for more. All of that changed now. Their food was incredible! The Pad Thai was perfectly flavored. Egg rolls were crispy and on point. My friend got the pad sei ew which was equally delicious. Everyone was nice and helpful and the restaurant was clean. So excited to find my new go to for Thai in the area!

Great Thai food location by a large movie theater. We ordered the pad Thai and crab fried rice and both were great! The flavors at this restaurant are different from most Thai places and I really enjoy it. I wouldn't say the flavors are like what we had experienced in Thailand but much better than the typical Thai food you get. This is our new local Thai go to!Restaurant is small but nice, wait staff is super friendly and they have great take out! Overall highly recommend!

Had the Salmon Penang here. Superb! Sauce was perfectly seasoned- not too spicy and not under seasoned. Guests tried Pad sai eiaw and shrimp fried rice. Full of shrimp! Thanks Chada Thai! We can hardly wait to come back!

I ordered an iced coffee & it was truly, genuinely, without hyperbole, the worst iced coffee that I've had in my entire life. It was inedible. It was so sweet that I felt like Hansel & Gretel being lured in by the witch. I ordered takeout & drowned it with unsweetened milk at home to no avail: It was still repulsively sweet.I didn't enjoy the Pad Thai, but I don't have any previous Pad Thai experiences to compare it to, so I'm not knocking it. Maybe I just don't like Pad Thai. I'm only mentioning it because it made me sick to my stomach after eating a bit of it.

The noodles soup was not what I expected. It was too bland and I had better. But it was my first time there and I did not have the opportunity to try other dishes
