We came here one late morning after walking along the river. We had a couple of their dirty homemade chai lattes, 2 chorizo breakfast tacos, and a side of sweet potato fries. All of it was delicious! It was definitely a great stop and we would come back and visit again. Super cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly service too!Note-if you're walking, the area has many homeless and there is a mission nearby that provides free meals. We happened to be walking through at meal time, so it was a little intimidating, but the food and drink was definitely worth it.

Finally checked out Cenote after several years of living in East Austin and pleased I did!Menu is pretty standard. Tacos, sandwiches, salads, burgers, and an extensive coffee menu. They have cute indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating (the later is dog-friendly!). We easily found neighborhood parking and walked over. Not sure if they take reservations, but we didn't have one and found a seat quickly. We had two dogs with us and sat outside at a picnic table. All the picnic tables have umbrellas, allowing for people to sit in the shade, even on sunny days. You have to order inside and then bring a number out to your table so they can find you when your food is ready. The food was ready pretty quickly, and everything was surprisingly very tasty!I got two different breakfast tacos. Both were yummy, but I was a little disappointed to find that I couldn't build my own taco. As far as breakfast spots go, it was pretty standard. Not sure what differentiates this place from any of the other many breakfast spots in East Austin, so I don't know if we will be quick to come back. However, it seems like a cute neighborhood spot if you live in the area!

Cenote is a really cozy spot to hunker down for a nice brunch and study session. Inside is aesthetic, with green wood paneling around the place, and decor to complement the more vintage vibe. Outside is also quite nice, as there is plenty of shaded outdoor seating, which is also shielded from the street noise (although the area already appears fairly quiet).I ordered the BLAT sandwich ($12), and I was very pleased with it. The bread had a nice crispiness, yet not so much that it was painful to eat, which I have had my fair share of before. The bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato all complemented each other nicely (as do most BLTs), and I was satiated after eating it all. My friend ordered the Avocado Toast and had only glowing things to say about it, claiming that it was the best avocado toast that she has ever had. To top it all off, the service around was very friendly. Once we were done our food, our plates got whisked away without us having to do anything. It is also nice that there is a water self-service station and cups, so you do not have to wait to get more.Would give 5/5 but did personally feel it was on the pricier side. Would recommend and come again though!

We tried Cenote for breakfast on a recent trip to Austin and we will definitely keep them on our short list of breakfasts spots we enjoy. In short, the food was done well and the service was great. Ambiance was very Austin vibey, like a quirky and cozy small breakfast cafe. We tried the breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, and apple butter pancakes. Every dish fantastic. The burrito was big bough for my husband and I to share.

Coffee was delightful, pumpkin spice latte and dirty chai tea. Also saw the mimosa flight and had to try. Wonderful to enjoy on the outside patio in the morning. Didn't have anything to eat however what we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. Service was a bit different. Drinks wise you're your own transporter with just food items being delivered to the table. Wasn't clearly communicated how that worked. Courtyard was wonderful with the fans going and overall clean space. Restrooms also clean and there is a code needed for entry.

4.5 Stars I stopped by this charming spot on a Monday morning to work for a bit and grab breakfast. The sausage breakfast sandwich ($12) on a bagel ($2) was marvelous - served with a side of chipotle aioli. The microfoam latte was nice, though the espresso has a tart flavor that might not be for everyone. The cute, earthy decor creates a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were polite and attentive.Overall, it's a fantastic spot for fresh food and quality coffee. I'll definitely be back!

Really good brunch places and a whole load of options. Food options are great and they are delicious too. Usually go to place for brunch if you just want to eat good food and can't think of much or don't care about decor or vibes.

Good service, nice atmosphere, and decent food. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. I had the classic breakfast with over medium and bacon. The eggs came over hard, and the bacon was pretty good. The home fries were pretty good, and the biscuit was really good. I didn't really like the jam since it was pretty runny. However, it did have a good strawberry flavor. The coffee was good.I liked the rustic style of the restaurant. It has both indoors and lots of outdoor seating. Parking is extremely limited, so be prepared to walk a block or two, especially on Sunday mornings. It is not romantic but kind of intimate on how it feels like eating at home. So if you are looking for a place to have a nice cup of Joe with some food in a casual restaurant, then stop by Cenote and give it a try.

Inviting space with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were super kind and helpful. You order at the counter and they bring food out to you and you pick up your drinks by the barista station. They also bus your tables here which is super nice. All of their syrups are homemade and they have a great variety of latte flavors. I got the migas which were yummy and a good sized portion. I'd definitely come back here.

Heard they are closing soon so you may wanna check them out if you haven't already There was a hugeee line on the weekend (out the door). Dunno if that's typical. The wait time in line was a while, but once we placed our orders, it was so quick! I like how they serve drinks pretty much as soon as we order. The interior colors are nice!! Chai latte-slightly sweet and super delicious. I got half sandwich, half salad. The turkey and avocado sandwich was ok but I think the mango in the salad wasn't ripe yet. Free street parking or you can park at the church lot (not on Sundays).
