Christmas at the Caswell House Brunch Review - November 10, 2024Another magical year at the Caswell House! This beloved Austin tradition continues to shine. The house was elegantly adorned with festive trees, ornaments, and holiday decor--all for sale to benefit local nonprofits. The Champagne brunch was delightful, offering great food and warm service in the beautifully decorated space. It's heartwarming to see this event thrive year after year. If you're looking for a festive way to support a good cause, make sure to visit before the season wraps up. Truly a cherished experience!

My company hosted our holiday party. It is a beautiful, historic mansion with a beautiful balcony upstairs. It also has an amazing view of the Capitol. When we walked in, there was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Everything was very festive.

We had our wedding on 6/18/16. Everything, everything, everything was exceptional thanks to Craig, Bryan, and the rest of the staff. From the first time we checked out the venue, the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, always answering our questions and providing suggestions. Our guest list was close to maximum--- 75ish--- and it still worked out great. Craig's a magician that can bartend, flip rooms, clean up afterward, and act essentially as a venue coordinator. The venue's gorgeous and well-kept, and everybody loved it.Oh, and you can take your bridal portrait here free of charge if you book it for your wedding. Austinites, you can't go wrong with the Caswell House. They're such lovely people and your money goes towards such a good cause. (And, it's affordable for an Austin wedding venue.)

Attended a well-attended wedding here last summer, and it was the perfect space. Grounds with plenty of room, upper floor rooms to get ready or hang out on the balcony, AND a ballroom. Enjoyed a packed foyer/living area downstairs for the ceremony and room after room of full-on buffet eating. The house can accommodate up to 200 for a stand-up reception, or 80-90 for a sit-down dinner party. We had about 100 peeps, and besides the actual ceremony, it never felt cramped, more like a rambling estate in the middle of the city.Rates are reasonable, and you can't beat the location on West and 14th area, where parking is not impossible. The best part? The large ass porches, conducive to both quiet and celebratory conversation. Beautiful, accommodating spot.

The Caswell House is so beautiful at Christmas time. We went for the holiday dinner fundraiser. It was OK. They could improve on many parts of the evening but because it's done with all volunteers everyone has a different commitment and it felt disjointed. Perhaps a good event planner would improve the event. We won't attend next year.

Really cool old mansion. I went here to attend one of my best friend's wedding. It's got two floors and a balcony that offer cool views of downtown's. Just kind of a stately old house with a cool, historical feel to it.

Charming historic house in Downtown area. We had our reception here and it was more than enough room. We mostly were upstairs and there is a elevator for older folks who cannot climb the large stairwell. Bryan-who helped us with all our questions was brillant and very helpful. It's a very charming place and even more when you are inside. Brillant.

Craig at Caswell House was great to work with! He ensured the venue was setup just as discussed and went above and beyond the day-of the wedding to make sure all went smoothly. I would highly recommend Caswell House for a wedding.

Great place to have your wedding. Perfect for about 80 people if you're looking for an all indoor wedding. Just make sure you ask them to turn the air conditioning on early that morning so it has time to cool down before people show up.
