I love this place!!! They have clearly figured out the key(s) to running a successful business, because it's always busy!Friendly staff & outstanding delicious food, every time.Today I was lured away from my usual smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel by the tuna kimchi melt on toasted sourdough -- it's maybe these best sammie I've had in 10 years in Austin ... JUST INSANE!Lox & bagel lovers: This is your placeThanks,Jim B.

Love it. Tasted kimchi, kraut, and whitefish salad. All three are uniquely delicious! So excited. I still am looking forward to tasting your challah and your hamentaschen! Fantastic place. When you get a chance, please put a hand railing on the stairs. Safety first. Thank you.

I love this little spot with amazing bagels (I have hashimotos, so gluten and I are not friends) and I love that I can have my bagel and eat it too. They have a variety of bagels and smears, both dairy & vegan options. They also do sandwiches and salads and make their own kombucha.Service here is also so incredibly friendly.Everything in this place besides the potato chips is homemade! Also, I'm not a huge kimchi fan as it usually smells like farts (I said what I said) and theirs is divine and not over powering. The shop is clean, open kitchen and super cute. I'm firm on my love for their fermtables.

The service was great as well as prices. The bagels are not traditional bagels more like sourdough toast. The everything bagel wasn't my favorite but the scallion spread and tuna salad were delicious. I 100% recommend their focaccia bread! It pairs perfectly with some olive oil and vinegar

Today was not great day bc I placed order, walk in and was talking to the lady and she looked at me and said ok that's all to my order bc I had said 2 poppy seeds bagels uncut , side of vegan cream cheese and that's in one bag. Said now let's do second bag with a poppy seed bagel one with just roasted garlic on the side. The bagels took over 10 minutes and they came out wrong. They gave me three bagels that were made wrong, and a side of unpleasant attitude

I love this place! All the bagels are sourdough based and very delicious. They let me split my bagel to get different cream cheeses which I appreciate to be able to try different kinds. I also got the cinnamon roll and would highly recommend getting one to go before they run out! I would love to try the kombucha and fresh kimchi next time and will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming as well!

Knew about this place for a while and finally went... ordered the lox and tried to get a loaf to take home but they sold out of a lot and eventually sold out of everything while we were eating about an hour before they close. Bagels are legit, probably the best bagels I've had in Austin (still not a New York bagel but, you know, the water right?) went back 3 weekends in a row and had whitefish and also the cream cheese with kimchi. Tried to order the sauerkraut one but then realized when I got home they gave me the wrong order. That's my only gripe.... My friend went on a different occasion and they gave her the wrong order too. She ordered a vegan cream cheese bagel and they put lox on it. Hmmm what? Still wanna try more stuff like their sandwiches on regular bread but I do seem to always end up ordering a bagel.

Discovered this great new bagel spot, Casper Fermentables, where they make their own bread and keep the prices reasonable. The lox on cinnamon raisin was a standout--such a good balance of flavors. I also tried their spicy turkey sandwich on focaccia, which was solid, though I'd ask for more spread next time. Quick and efficient counter service made the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!

Grandma approved!! My grandma is extremely picky about her food and restaurants and she still raves about how delicious and spot on this place is.My favorite things are the tuna sandwich, the chocolate rugelach and the pizza bagel. Tuna salad is PERFECTION and honestly so is everything else, you cannot go wrong.I also recently discovered their kombucha on tap and I'm wondering where this has been all my life! Super crisp, delightful, slightly sweet and it's a tea kombucha so it's caffeinated. It's the perfect morning drink and it's a glass of happiness (and only 2 grams of sugar but actually tastes sweet)

Finally got in to try Casper! I'll be honest I've been trying a few times and their hours make it a bit difficult. I imagine that's the nature of long fermentation but hopefully in the future they can extend their hours. But alas! I got to try a nice spread of fermented treats.Starting with the focaccia, springy, chewy, salty and delicious. A little more dense than you might expect for focaccia but I enjoyed it all the same. LOVE the crispy salt crumbles on top. I tried a caramelized onion and turmeric artichoke (?), and both were great with the latter having some nice sour bites interspersed (see the yellow things in the picture). $7 / slice. The kombucha was lovely as well. More acidic than most store bought which is what I was hoping for. Low sugar, just all the good stuff. Total for 5 items was $29. Not bad. Inside was cute and comfortable. Can't wait to try more from them soon :)
