First time trying out this location near Buckies. The food was OK. However, the service was wonderful. We loved how they made the salsa as you like it at your table side. They were replacing chips before they went completely empty. Our server was extremely attentive. I'd be back simply for the service. We try the breakfast menu. Again it was just OK. I would definitely give them another chance at lunch or dinner.

Not the best service, food, or atmosphere but not terrible. I loved my fish tostada but didn't like my shrimp mango tostada. I tried my boyfriend's burrito and it was good. The chips and salsa were amazing. Service was slow and our waitress was visibly annoyed at her coworkers the entire time (they were arguing and giving dirty looks to each other). I'll probably come back to see if I just had a funky experience but not for a while.

As always, Chapala never fails!! Great food and drinks to end a long work week! Our wonderful waitress Maria is one of the main reasons why we come back over and over again! Outside patio is a nice break from all the noise of a restaurant! Stop by and try them out and make sure you ask for Maria and tell her Grady sent ya!!

Service was great here amd got our food really fast.Right when we got there they brought out fresh chips and made the salsa right at the table. Thought the salsa was good. The spicy salsa was decent and spicy.I also got the queso since it was cheap for happy hour. Wasn't anything to write home about but was still good.My rice and enchilada was really good as well but again. Not anything to write home about. I got the spicy chicken in the enchilada.The crispy take was great and i love how they put it on a stand so it doesn't get soggy. Overall probably a 3.5 but giving a 4 because of the good service

Updated review, sadly leaving a 1 star. Had to talk to the manager about why an extra charge was added on Patio Marg day (any flavor $5) and why 2 3% charges were added to the bill. Who knows how long those paying with credit cards have paid 6%, but it didn't seem like a new thing. Check your receipts, the manager refunded/modified but it seems really unethical to not tell people they will be charged 6% on credit card transactions.

We wanted to get out of the house for dinner with guests over the Thanksgiving weekend, and found this spot which is next to the Bastrop Bucees. Other eateries closed at 8pm on Saturday, so we were happy to find this spot that was open later and able to seat a party of five right away. Mariachis were playing, which is a nice bonus. We were seated near a large, rowdy group that provided a lively atmosphere. Once we placed our drink orders, chips, salsa and tasty bean dip brought to the table. We waited quite a while to place our food orders. Once our food arrived, it was delicious and hit the spot. Margaritas were excellent! All in all, dinner was good and we'll return, hopefully to a calmer atmosphere next time.
