*VISIT #3*ENVIRONMENT: as always! well decorated and staff who are professionals.SERVICE: outstanding service to say the least but If anything is wrong with your food just talk to your waiter and they'll be able to help. Now, if you messed up on what you ordered you have to accept that.Don't be a Karen, they don't deserve that.FOOD: so far my favorite dish is the chicken Tacos the tortillas are huge! And big portions of chicken. The guacamole is the BEST I'VE HAD I always squeeze a lime on it and mix it up to enhance that lime flavor. You're welcome Bottom line: my food was excellent again! I love the consistency in good service and food as well as drinks

We came on Monday at 7:00pm. Ordered the Queso Blanco that was very runny and watery. I ordered the Texas Two Step enchiladas as pictured. It was as dry as the desert. With light smoky salty beef flavor. I learned they forgot the hatch green chili sauce and brought some out. Thank goodness because it really needed it. My boyfriend ordered the crispy taco that is full Tex Mex flavor. He broke off a lot of the crispy tortillas because it made it harder to eat. It really was decent but makes a good taco salad.I live on Rainey and se that it's packed on the weekends. Just become a club and bar at this point.

We stopped by here on a recommendation and just were not happy with the food. The drinks were great and we loved the outside patio. We were able to sit on the swings and watch the game. I ordered the enchiladas with Mexican rice. It was something about the cheese that was not good. I took two bites and put it down. Thankfully there was a food truck park across the street so I grabbed some Kung Pao chicken to tide me over. I would definitely come back for drinks and the ambience. Not sure I will try the food again.

I don't have much to say about this place as I was mostly only impressed by the decor. I had very high hopes for the taco. I didn't realize it was one giant crispy taco when I was ordering it. It was so impractical and the flavors just weren't there. I ordered cocktails based on items I felt I couldn't get on a menu anywhere... Men. Overall, this place is one of those places made for Instagram, not for the taste buds.

We went here for a night out for my sister's bachelorette. I read most of the reviews and thought this is a great place to get our night started! We came for dinner and stayed for some drinks. Of course we started the table with chips and salsa and queso but I had the big crispy and the it was definitely on point! My sister had the Texas two step enchiladas and loved them! I also had to order brussel sprouts and I loved how different they were! I got more of a tangy taste but still very delicious. My drink choice was pffff magic dragon which was good but if I had to order different I would have gone with tu madre. Pfff magic dragon I felt the firewaters bitters was very bitter but that was me. Tu madre was very much more delicate but nonetheless delicious. While we were eating they were getting the inside ready for the party and opening up the dance floor. I would recommend for groups!

We were supposed to explore Rainey Street on night #2 of my BFF's bachelorette party, but we never ended up leaving this place! I was so over the early 2000s rap and country music all over 6th Street the night before, so when I heard EDM blaring from this place, I forced the group inside lol. The outside/front is super cute with a bunch hanging greenery and cool swings. They don't allow people to smoke cigs in the seating area ... have to go alllll the way outside for that, which I appreciated. No cover charge. Drinks were cheap IMO, but we're from LA, so maybe cheap to me is regular Austin prices lol. I found it super odd that they served margs in heavy glass beer mugs. Not the best idea at a nightclub, IMO, lol. They were super heavy and that would be a lot of broken glass if anyone dropped one. They were chill with us bringing in a giant inflatable male body part hahahahaha. It was a huge hit!

Me and some colleagues were strolling through the area and decided on this place bc it was indoors. Lol. Many of the bars in the area have outdoor seating and it was way too hot for that. Unfortunately it is the only place on the street that doesn't do happy hour. We were hungry so we decided to stay anyway. Food was fine. Nothing really spectacular about it. Menu had a lot of a la carte options so we had to order several sides to share.Chicken tacos were good. Mushroom appetizer was bland. Rice and beans were good but beans were a bit dry. No free chips and salsa. :(Overall it was a fine place to get a bite.

The party was definitely happening at Cantina 512 where there was a huge crowd of young party goers in their 20s at the bar with a Mexican DJ blasting loud music. The bar was situated in the front of the place along Rainey Street so it made perfect sense. It was a cool setting with Mexican decor and swings. Be prepared to show ID to enter. My wife and I were escorted to the back of the restaurant to be seated. I looked over the menu and ordered a frozen margarita and Queso Blanco basically chips and cheese dip. The margarita was really tasty and not bitter. I really enjoyed it.For dinner, I ordered the El Pollote which was described as fried chicken, mango and cabbage slaw with avocado aioli. The chips and queso arrived and it was remarkably good. The cheese was addictive and we basically ate it all up. Soon my plate arrived and saw two tacos laying flat with fried chicken and toppings on top. I tasted the chicken and wow it was tasty and wonderful flavor. It was hard at first to fold up the flour tortilla, so just ate it with a fork until I could. I was just amazed with the whole meal being so good and did not mind the loud music blaring. The delicious food was a party in my mouth.

Was in town for a conference and decided to come here based on Yelp reviews. I ordered the big taco. It was really good and lived up to its name. The service was ok. The menus smelled like dirty water and I thought it was the table so I asked for the table to be wiped down. The hostess acted as she was "above" wiping down a table. Thankfully our server was super nice and made our dining experience enjoyable.
