Cannon Coffee

I don't like to put down a local business and I try hard to support them. I went by today and there was a laptop and all of this on the couch. The only comfortable seating. And I asked the little barista if anyone was sitting there. And she replied my boyfriend is sitting there. Apparently her boyfriend is more important than paying customers. Owner. You need to know that. So then I asked if I could sit on the couch as well and this chick literally said my boyfriend doesn't like dogs. Girl. Your boyfriend doesn't like dogs you need to dump him. I am so sorry that this barista is so inconsiderate and rude and I have to say as a paying customer I really don't feel comfortable with this. Absolutely rude and crappy customer service. I did not have a good experience.

Really great coffee and nice staff. Had an ube latte with a chocolate croissant, both were really good. They have a good number of outlets and tables if you need to get some work done, they had excellent wifi while I was there. Will be back!

Cool place, good location. Latte tasted like it was made with Maxwell House, some of the worst tasting Java I've had. Bummer, because we were trying to shop local.

I've lived 2min from this coffee shop and never tried it but I finally decided to go recently. The shop itself is very small, there isn't a lot of space or seating. I got the Honey Bee Latte and it was okay, nothing special. The barista seemed a little annoyed I couldn't tell if he was tired or what but at one point he left and it was just me in the shop. I was confused so I decided to leave too. Mind you this was around noon on a Saturday, and they close at 5 so I know he wasn't closing up. Other than that, this shop is more of a stop in and pick up coffee not really a sit and chat (because there's very limited seating to begin with).

Very disappointing 1st time experience today. Ordered 2 coffees and a zucchini bread.Coffee was served tepid warm but not hot and tasted kinda stale to be honest.Zucchini bread was dense and bland tasting. Lets just say no one at the table finished it...Service was great. Super friendly.

Cannon Coffee is a great place to have a chat with a friend or get some work done if you're over 5' 4". The coffee was nothing to write home about but good nonetheless, the staff was very friendly, good seating and plugs, and there are small business and nice artwork featured. However, this is not somewhere I would sit all day to work as the chairs are not the most comfortable and the tables are much too high for the chairs they have. Overall would take a friend to chew the fat, but probably not a work destination.

Came for a pick me up... We are from Cali and being in Texas... We were beginning to worry that it may be too much for us to handle... That was until we found Cannon Coffee. I was fading until I took that first sip.... Of water and man I was back. Texas has a heat I wasn't ready for. I appreciated the self-service water next to the doggo treats... An added bonus.

here to update and change my review, i got brave & came back to support my local coffee shop hoping things had improved- and they have! i have had multiple positive experiences with the current staff & will continue coming back.

first time trying Cannon , said "how are you" to the barista who gave no response to my question (thought that was odd ) they said "what do you want" also very rude. i asked about the menu, they pointed to it so i can read it myself (how dare i try to make conversatio) . basic customer service is not practiced here so don't expect to have a pleasant interaction. my coffee latte tasted more of hot milk than coffee /: will not be returning and advise anyone not to come here even though the prices are fair , the drink was not made right in my opinion i will pay more elsewhere for friendly baristas and tasty drinks. what a shame

I came across another review among many regarding the rude and inconsiderate short lady who works at Cannon Coffee Shop. Additionally, I noticed some unpleasant comments about the pastries. If an establishment employs a staff member who responds to a customer's concern about receiving lukewarm coffee with, "Is that all the f*** you have to complain about?" then what can one expect from the overall service?Anyone working at a coffee shop who uses profanity towards customers when they voice concerns about a $6 coffee that should be served hot raises serious questions about the quality of both food and service. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if there were unpleasant rodents lurking in the background and mixed in with the food and other items.
