It's your neighborhood coffee place where they have friendly baristas, old school style cafe , good coffee and a nice crowd .I have tried only their coffee so far, yet to explore the food menu .Good shaded outdoor seating and plenty of interior seating.

A friend and I came in on a Saturday morning, around 7:30 AM. The Cafe was already busy at that time, but we were still able to get sat pretty quickly. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating variety for small or large parties. Our server was very kind and attentive throughout our meal. I decided to order the "Meat Lovers Omelet:" an omelet with bacon, sausage, ham and cheddar cheese, served with hash browns and wheat toast. The omelet was delicious!!!! The savory-ness of all the ingredients, and the omelet's size was perfect. The hash browns were a little too greasy for my liking, but I enjoyed their crisp! The table has an assortment of jellies for your toast--I went with the "apple butter," so good!!!!Overall good experience! Worth a 4.5 if I could give it. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Cava Java is one of my "go to" breakfast spots in P-town. But they get so busy on Sundays and they still had the old school paper wait list. But today, we ventured there for breakfast after about a nine month sabbatical and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have updated their wait list system to a text system (Cracker Barrel style) and their payment system. No more long lines at the cashier, just pay at your table and go. Bravo...Cava Java, now your fine food, service and coffee makes our total experience even better. The food is always great here. I'm a creature of habit. My favorite is "The Java". 2 eggs, 2 bacon, toast, pancake or hash browns and "coffee". It's a delicious meal and a great value. They have an amazing baked goods selection. Cupcakes, cheesecakes and huge frosted cinnamon rolls. The staff always aims to please, in my humble opinion, they hit their mark every time. I didn't realize how long since I was here last. I really missed all this delicious-ness.As much as I hate to say this because it will only get busier. Yet, stop by and ask for"Ivan". He's a hard working server who will hustle for you. The first time to this Cafe Java. I liked the shaded area outside if you had to wait. Our wait was short, though. The dining area is a decent size. The service was excellent. Our server came and took our orders. One of our parties had a steak and asked for it medium rare. It was a little bloody for her. So we asked to have it cooked a little longer, and our server got it done...terrific service. I had the Country Hill special. It was good but a little salty for me, so I didn't enjoy it. However, I will go back, but I will order a different item in the future.

My husband and I first went to Cafe Java in Austin. When we moved north we were happy to know they have a location in Round Rock. We love this place. The wait can be lengthy, (all good things are worth the wait), the price cannot be beaten, service is fast once seated, and the food is always a hit. If you're looking for that slow Saturday morning, cozy vibe with the ones you love this is the place. No frills just great food, excellent coffee, and friendly, down to earth staff. Our go to order is... the chorizo miga platter and huevos rancheros. This last visit I got the Mexican latte and it was incredible.

Love, love, love this place so much! We always order to go because this place gets busy on the weekends. Our go to order is, The Pancake Platter and The Java Platter. We also get a side of extra crispy hash browns and 6 prices of extra bacon, for our pups. My favorite iced coffee is the butter beer latte, so tasty! I love that they display local art and nicknacks. You can tell people have been coming here for years, a true neighborhood cafe. Love supporting local businesses like this one. Perfect for lunch, breakfast or brunch.

We eat here almost every Sunday for brunch. The Benedict is always wonderful. Western omelette is one of our regular items with their exceptional hash browns. They are almost always on a wait since Round Rock has exploded, but that is also because of their consistently good food and friendly service. They have done a good job of making tables and areas feel more private so even tho it's very open and full you don't feel super crowded.
