"Tân My is in the top 5 best restaurants that Austin has to offer. Their food is always outstanding, never a miss. I first learned about this restaurant from a Lyft driver who was sharing his favorite Vietnamese food in Austin and Round Rock, and he said Tân My was the best and most authentic. He was not wrong! I have never dined in, so I always order to-go via phone. It is the place my partner and I order takeout the most from because the food is always delicious with ample portions that means two meals (dinner plus dinner or lunch the next day). There are multiple comfortable tables inside for those who prefer to dine-in.My favorites are the 55C crispy noodles (I get mine with just shrimp but it comes with chicken and beef for meat-eaters), 47 shrimp vermicelli with lemongrass, and 29 egg noodle soup with shrimp. The crispy noodles are thick and fried together in truly the most delicious sauce ever with fresh vegetables. My family has also loved their chicken fried rice and their rice noodle soup with chicken. Amy and David are wonderful siblings who often answer the phones and check you out, and the full family and all the staff are welcoming and make delicious food. They genuinely make you feel at home in the restaurant, and their food is a nurturing gift. They are currently closed on Sundays, so just plan ahead for your lunch or dinner. Tân My is an absolute Austin treasure. Order or stop by to be delighted today!"

"Came Christmas Eve because they were one of a select few places that were open in the area and I was craving some Vietnamese food.Came in and told them I wanted ordered to go so they gave me a menu and I ordered the grilled pork rice dish. "My favorite banh mi shop in Austin. Not only is it affordable, but it is delicious as well. You're not going to find a place that will sell you a banh mi under $7 anymore. I've been coming here the past few months and the food is always consistent and I never really have any complaints. My usual is the dac biet special sandwich, an order of goi cuon with nem, and an ice coffee. I would say 10/10 times it taste the exactly the same as I ordered last time and it never disappoints."

"I went here for a late lunch. It is a very nice restaurant in the shopping center across from H-E-B. I walked in and the restaurant was very clean and comfortable. We were the only people in the restaurant. We were seated promptly.This restaurant serves both Vietnamese and Chinese food. They have a generous menu. I was able to alter my dish to make it sugar-free. I was very impressed, because even though none of the sauces on the menu were sugar free, The server communicated my food restriction to the chef, and the chef made me a wonderful sauce with soy sauce which he mixed with corn starch to make it thicker. He then poured it over shrimp and vegetables and gave me white rice on the side. It was absolutely amazing! I totally took note of how he made that sauce, and I'm going to make it at home! I felt this was over and above, because they could've easily said, no I'm sorry we don't have anything sugar-free, but they did not! My meal was so generous that I brought half of it home to eat later. The prices were quite reasonable. We bought three main dishes, and including Tax , my bill was less than $50.I will definitely be back!"

Much teasing with chopsticks was required to pull the mass apart. Only 5 shrimp in the bowl. If you don't give a damn about the food you are serving, find another trade. Daughter's dish was good according to her. Chicken wings came last - was the appetizer, but not now! Wings were nothing to write home about, but at least they didn't screw them up.We've eaten at some great Viet places in Little Saigon. This place would not have lasted 3 months there.Never going back."

It's been around like forever, I've been coming here for years". So as we both walk up to the counter to make an order, she already had one waiting for her. She begins to chit chat with the man behind the counter like they knew each other by name, probably cause they did! Proof that she definitely has been coming here for years. At this point I'm like okay, this is definitely going to live up to her hype.So I ordered the Rice Clay Pot House special, cause that sounds different from my usual. There's also no way im leaving without trying the fried dumplings.Everything was amazing! I almost thought there was no rice (was at the bottom), that's how much meat and vegetables they put in my dish! I'm usually more of a fan of steamed dumplings but man these fried dumplings hit the spot as well. I walked out of that restaurant feeling like Buddha. hahaThe guys working the counter were very nice. There was no one really in the restaurant. It was kind of a ghost town which is surprising cause they had like 30 tables, I guess they have their rushes at certain times. Maybe when it's more busy they have waiters or something but it's kind of like self-serve. This place is worth checking out!"
