I stopped her right before she opened the door, I said excuse me is this place any good? She stopped and said "Oh yes it's like the best in this entire area! It's been around like forever, I've been coming here for years". So as we both walk up to the counter to make an order, she already had one waiting for her. She begins to chit chat with the man behind the counter like they knew each other by name, probably cause they did! Proof that she definitely has been coming here for years. At this point I'm like okay, this is definitely going to live up to her hype.So I ordered the Rice Clay Pot House special, cause that sounds different from my usual. There's also no way im leaving without trying the fried dumplings.Everything was amazing! I almost thought there was no rice (was at the bottom), that's how much meat and vegetables they put in my dish! I'm usually more of a fan of steamed dumplings but man these fried dumplings hit the spot as well. I walked out of that restaurant feeling like Buddha. hahaThe guys working the counter were very nice. There was no one really in the restaurant. It was kind of a ghost town which is surprising cause they had like 30 tables, I guess they have their rushes at certain times. Maybe when it's more busy they have waiters or something but it's kind of like self-serve. This place is worth checking out!"

"I'm obsessed with Pho With Us! I recently had the pleasure of trying their pho, and let me tell you, it's hands-down the best I've ever had. The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the generous portion of tender beef was cooked just right. I did end up taking my remaining food home and it was equally delicious the next day. The service was great. When we first arrived, the restaurant was only partially filled. But by the time we were leaving, it was full and there was a wait to be seated with a busy atmosphere. So be sure to get there early if you're visiting for dinner."

I don't think I waited more than 5 minutes for my food to be served. Get the pork banh mi sliders, you will not be disappointed. So much flavor in each bite. First time ever trying a bao buns, it's looks doughy but it pulled so easily. Steak was plentiful in the pho. All toppings are served on the side which I appreciated as I do not put everything. Good portions overall, but pho size is meant for one."

"I brought my mom here to check out the food truck for our Friday lunch together, and we were both very impressed by the food. We both got traditional Vietnamese dishes to assess how good they were, and they definitely passed our sniff test. As it turns out, they have a restaurant in Houston and are trying to expand into the Austin area. This explains why they were so good, since the best spots in Texas are in Houston and DFW.The food was super fresh and very well seasoned. Their fish sauce is very nice and light, not overly sweet or salty like a lot of them tend to be. It complements rather than overpowers the other flavors. The servings were very ample, and there was a lot of meat. It was a little challenging eating it all in styrofoam boxes, but that's true with pretty much all food trucks.The owners were super nice and friendly guys. We chatted with them while we ate, and they kept checking on us. There was a steady stream of people during lunch. A lot of it was take-out, but we really enjoyed eating there.They're in a food truck park on Dessau Road, and every truck has it's own cabana that serves as it's own private, patio dining area. Super cute. The day was pleasant, and they had a huge chilling fan, so why not eat there.We plan on going back again to try some of their other dishes now that we know they're legit and the quality is excellent!"

The lobster is really designed to be the star of the show, but it gets a lot of help from all the flavors working with it in every bite. The lobster for the dish is a bit light on taste but as noted above the corn, onion and light spices make the dish work. In the future, I'd elect to purchase the crab fried rice as it may be sweeter in taste than the lobster. Salt and pepper shrimp The shrimp for this dish were tender. To achieve this tenderness, the shrimp must be marinated and after marinating, the shrimp are quickly blanched in hot oil until they are cooked through. This process forms a thin coating around the shrimp, sealing in moisture and preventing them from becoming tough or rubbery during further cooking in stir-fries or other dishes.The salt and pepper seasoning on the shrimp coupled with jalapenos, fresh carrot and onion took this dish up a notch. This to-go meal from order to packing took approximately 15 minutes (love the expeditiousness of this establishment) and costs $42.17 before tip. #supportlocal"

"This review is very near and dear to my heart for many reasons. Firstly, this food truck is ran by the nuns at Huê Lâm temple! My family goes to this temple and these were the same nuns who led the funeral procession at my aunt's funeral. The head nun built the food truck from the ground up with her savings and the temple survives off of donations and the nuns and volunteers' hard work. So, all of the proceeds of this food truck also goes straight to supporting the temple. :)Definitely check this food truck out even if you are not vegan/vegetarian. The price is super reasonable and the food is delicious. My Vietnamese mother and relatives love this spot since this is the same food that is cooked for temple-goers. Now, they can have it whenever they want. There is plenty of parking space in the lot. Once parked, just follow the signs to the truck in the back. I first learned about this restaurant from a Lyft driver who was sharing his favorite Vietnamese food in Austin and Round Rock, and he said Tân My was the best and most authentic. He was not wrong! I have never dined in, so I always order to-go via phone. It is the place my partner and I order takeout the most from because the food is always delicious with ample portions that means two meals (dinner plus dinner or lunch the next day). There are multiple comfortable tables inside for those who prefer to dine-in.My favorites are the 55C crispy noodles (I get mine with just shrimp but it comes with chicken and beef for meat-eaters), 47 shrimp vermicelli with lemongrass, and 29 egg noodle soup with shrimp. The crispy noodles are thick and fried together in truly the most delicious sauce ever with fresh vegetables. My family has also loved their chicken fried rice and their rice noodle soup with chicken.
