"WOW! I was blown away by how good the food is here, and it was 100% VEGAN! I'm not vegan myself but love food and the way it was prepared felt like a gift to the soul. I had never had pumpkin/squash soup like this before and all the veggies and salads were seasoned to perfection! The staff are so friendly and the place just feels so welcoming. As soon as you step into Casa de Luz the air just feels light and full of love. Good vibes all around! 111% recommend checking it out!"
"This food truck was awesome. I was so excited to see good vegan tacos. I've never found a vegan taco that had actual heat until I came to this place. The staff were very nice and let me know they made the vegan meat from mushrooms. We experienced the food truck, not the restaurant, but the food in this mobile option was top-notch."

"Service was good but had some unusual rules, like how many sides you can order per entree. I would have liked to try more sides but o well. Everything tasted good. Not my usual pick but it was good and interesting and mixed things up."
"Yummy! I love this little spot tucked nicely in our neighborhood. They have a wonderful selection of vegetarian snacks and some pretty unique jerky options. We like coming here for lunch and splitting the buffalo burrito as well as some samosas. They have vegetarian Indian food and lots of fresh food options.I definitely definitely recommend recommend!"
"enjoyed an incredible dinner at arlo's.we tried their bacon cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, hawt dog, and mac n cheese.they make their food fresh on-site and everything is 100% plant based. you really don't feel like you're missing out on anything-- it was one of the best burgers and hot dogs we've ever had. mac n cheese is a must.honestly this is one of the best vegan spots in austin and is def worth a try."
"I was really impressed with this place. From the amount of space inside and the warm welcome from the staff to the tasty and innovation vegan food. I mean talk about vegan queso that's completely allergy free since it was made out of potatoes (not nuts!) that's pretty cool! My quesabirria tacos were delicious and for as someone who isn't vegan I would definitely recommend it to anyone. (I truly didn't miss the meat!)"
"My favorite food truck of all time!!! Perfect food, service, ambiance. Portions are fantastic and food is uniquely delicious, fresh, and healthy. The soup is phenomenal, fluffy, tasty. After eating, you feel energized and satisfied, not lethargic and heavy. If I was local, I'd eat here as much as I possibly could."

Casa de Luz is such a special place to me. It's one of the first places I ever went to when I came to Austin. It's ALWAYS fresh, wholesome, delicious.I love that there's no menu - you show up and you get fed a nourishing, wonderful vegan meal. For $20 you can get a whole meal, soup, and a dessert - filling up on natural foods and delicious nutrients! For desert I recommend the pumpkin or chocolate pie!Peaceful ambience with friendly people. 15/10

It's been a while since I've had Ethiopian food and have I been missing out!!! This meal was delicious. It's vegetarian-friendly with a lot of great veg options which I loved. The vegetarian platter was fantastic in trying a bit of everything!BUT it also has fantastic meat options such as lamb tibbs (fried lamb pieces, probably my favorite!), goat kikil (a stew), and doro wot (national dish, chicken & egg). I basically recommend everything we ordered so you really can't go wrong here! I'd love to come back and try more of the menu and Tej (Ethiopian style honey wine).

Service was friendly and quick.Imagine holding a football between your hands. Now split that football in half, holding one side in each hand. That's what the mock chicken salad wrap feels like. "Look at this!" I shouted to C. as I held up half a wrap like Simba. Lots of crispy shredded carrots, fresh sprouts, and mock chicken salad. Also, wonderful grill marks on both sides of the wrap. The mock chicken salad smelled and tasted like a cigarette, one with a good chicken texture. I never forgot that the chicken salad was the mock version, like I do when eating the one from Whole Foods.I grew up as a member of the Clean-your-Plate Club and would normally take on the massive wrap as a challenge. However, my stretchy jeans are becoming less stretchy so I saved the other half for lunch the next day. The cigarette smell was still there.

Arlo's is my favorite food truck and I'm not vegan. I just wish there was a location south of the river and I'd be eating it once a week again! I always order the chipotle chick-n sandwich and the Mac n cheez. My favorites!

I went to the north location which has plenty of parking. There is plenty of seating (four top tables and long 4 - 6 person tables). It's counter service and they are quick with ordering and getting the orders out. The food is amazing. I got the burrito with the "picadillo" protein option. In my burrito I barely noticed it wasn't an actual beef picadillo. I added some salsa to my burrito to add a bit more flavor. The beans and rice rank near the top against other TexMex places in Austin. The burrito was huge. My friends ordered the chips with salsa and queso. It's a potato based queso and amazingly tasty. They also got the birria tacos. They all loved them. This is definitely worth adding to your Tex-Mex rotation.

ATX Food Co has such a cool outdoor setup--it feels like a perfect little escape. I love that they focus on organic options, and the whole vibe has a bit of a witchy charm, which I'm all about. The service is super friendly, and everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. Definitely a must-visit!

Super friendly. And I love that they use a text service to let you know when to pick up your food. It's too hot in Austin to be waiting around like that lol. I got the breakfast sausage taco add pickled onion.Let me tell you... WOW. It was so freaking good. The flavor was just amazing. I couldn't finish it. I had one bite left and I literally saved it for later. I couldn't waste it lol. My friend did get the burrito and I don't think he was as wild about his as I was mine.

"So yummy! Super glad there is a fully vegan option at Thicket :) I got the taco, which were pretty yummy, but their burgers also looked super good!"
"I like the breakfast tacos and the latte was definitely decent. I love the design as it captures the modern Mexican design I believe the designer was going for.2/3 of the folks up front were super friendly but the third one looked at me like I planned to poison her houseplants. Maybe that's just her face. I, too, suffer from "I'm probably angry about something face."They forgot to make my sisters drink, pero, they were checking their phones so...I also get it."
"I think there are many different expectations for this dessert and when it doesn't fit that expectation people are bummed. It doesn't make this place good or bad just a personal preference thing.I personally just didn't find it good. It's a frozen banana like a popsicle, I would have liked it to be closer to a soft serve texture. However that's not the reason why I gave it two stars. The toppings are good but underwhelming and frankly this place is so expensive for what it is whether you love it or not. A full banana with toppings is anywhere from $5-6.50. This is probably the highest margin business in the world. Wholesale cost is probably $0.15 for toppings and a $0.30 banana.... I could see this being a cheap dessert for a college student given it's location at $2 for a half and $3 a full but much like anything else that is unique in Austin slap on a 100% premium. If I'm being completely honest, I think I'm just jealous of the 75-80% margins that this place brings in and wished I had thought of the idea. Really is the Amazon of dessert spots."
"I am not vegan but I went with friends and really enjoyed my meal! The tacos were great and the nachos were super sweet."
"I'm not vegan or vegetarian but I'm always down to try vegan food, out of all the vegan pizza I've tried Possum Pizza is by far the best. Their crust is excellent, their pizzas are creative and always delicious, I stop by every time I'm in south Austin and grab a couple pizza pies! I took one of their pepperoni pizzas to a party and nobody could tell that it was vegan."
"This is such a great concept place in North Loop. Huge outdoor patio and space with play areas for kids (of all ages) and a stage.I love that you can get delicious food, coffee, tea, beer, and cocktails all in one spot.Another cool, Austin-style vibe that's super welcoming. Employees seem to really love being there."
"I'm coming to find this place with my family! We were treated to bbq at work and the non-meat choice was from this vendor. Let me tell you, the food was not only delicious but beautiful to look at! Presentation is a big deal for me when it comes to dishes and Community Vegan didn't disappoint. The people I talked to were kind and explained the ingredients in the dishes with pride!"
"Starch, starch, starch, starch and starch.Outside of a few Portuguese and Hungarian bakeries,Starch has never tasted so good.* * *Desilicious is a small Southern Indian cafe.Think of it as a snack version of Sangam ChettinadWithout most of the meat and vegetable dishes but with most of the carbs.BUT OMG WHAT CARBS!Dosas to die for!Vadas and Idlis in sauces that will send you to paradise and back.Sweet pancake desserts that your divine mother made for you in your earlier life!I came out of there supremely happy and stuffed to the absolute gills. If you go,Prudence would suggest that you order one and only one dish, No matter what part of the menu that dish appears in.You may not want to be prudent. If you can't fit into your car after you finish eating here,Have someone go buy you a bigger car.Five Stars All The Way On A Stick!"
"Was craving burgers but didn't want to feel heavy, so we decided for vegan burgers. They were so delicious and hit the spot! We ordered the OG burger with 1 patty and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, with a side of tots we shared. I was impressed on how the flavors came together on the impossible burger. Loved the veggies that came on it and tots to finish it off. If you're looking for a vegan option, I'd definitely recommend this food truck! Right next door are vegan options too. All around cool spot to hang and bring your family and friends."
"We were staying next door at the hotel, which doesn't have a coffee shop. So one more during our stay in Austin just about a month ago, we went to Natuur for some drinks. I guess it's vegan and I didn't realize. Not normally a problem for me, but I ordered a London Fog. Since it's a vegan café, they must have made it with non-dairy milk (I think almond?). Again, this wouldn't be a problem in theory, but the London Fog was so bland (where was the tea?!) and just tasted like a to go cup of warmed almond milk. I couldn't even drink it. Not knowing they were vegan is on me, but the drink was still really bad - hardly tasted of Earl Grey at all! Just really strange. If I returned, I definitely would order differently."
