Our appetizers were amazing! The boat contains a variety of different options just can't remember them lol. It was soooooooooooo delicious! We couldn't even finish the whole thing! I got lucky to take tit home to have later. The service was good as well. Our waitress was attentive and helped me. I can't wait to go back !"

Before covid it had gone through a rough patch and their sushi had lost the beauty and taste. Their new location brings a fresh, yet traditional, breath to limited Austin sushi offering. I love the new location. The menu is smaller than what it was, but everything is good and the service is top notch."

Christian R. "We came on a Friday evening around 8 PM--wasn't super busy. The space is smaller, but my party of five still sat comfortably. Would love to have given this restaurant five stars, however the service here was not very good. We were seated very quickly, but our table was not approached for almost ten minutes. Aside from our food being brought to us, we did not receive any attention whatsoever by a server--no one to ask us how we were enjoying our meal, no one to pick up our empty dishes to clear out the table, etc. it was very disappointing. The plus side was the food was wonderful. I had an Alaska Roll and the Tonkatsu Ramen. I loved both of my dishes. They tasted fresh, the pork in my ramen was so tender and the broth was so flavorful. I highly recommend it. The restaurant's all-day Happy Hour items are great--there are a variety of different sushi rolls listed at a very cheap price. Would definitely be back for the food, and hopefully those serving will be more attentive during the meal rather than just when we're getting ready to cash out."

It used to be SO GOOD!The last time I was here, before my recent visit, was probably around 12-13 years ago when the super white tuna was plump, fresh, and would overhang on a little lump of rice-- how a perfect piece of nigiri should be. This time it was tough, tiny, and honestly, I was so sad. I have no idea what went down through these years, but it must have been some shit, because the sushi tasted like it's been sitting there for weeks.Used to think so highly of this place, but damn, it has gone downhill to the max. Is it the economy? Are we skimping on fresh fish? --keeping it longer than advised? Ugh.Ambience is still ok and service is acceptable, but sadly, I likely won't be back."

They are so so delicious!! I love this place with all of my heart and tell everyone who asks about food in and around Pflugerville to go here ASAP. Everything I have had here has been delicious. My go to order is the bacon fried rice but I've had the pad Thai, pad see ew, Panang curry, and the pad woo sen and have always enjoyed my meal. I love their desserts as well. The layered crepe cakes are my favorite when they have them but the tiramisu and crème brûlées are so good here as well. The servers here as so so incredible I cannot speak of them highly enough. There is one man who is there most of the time and I am unfortunately forgetting his name but he's so great at hospitality. He remembers us every time we come in, he seems genuinely concerned about everyone's experience and he's so funny and nice. I love the family owned vibes of this place and how there's normally a kid doodling or doing homework in the corner it is just so calming and great in here. Lunch is around $28 (no nigiri) and dinner is about $36 and includes nigiri (with some limits). Kids up to 7 are $17 for AYCE. 2 hour limit and you'll be charged for over ordering and wasting sushi (pretty typical for any AYCE).Service is solid. This seems like a mom and pop place and I think mom and pop might be seating and serving us. Located conveniently right off of 35, exit parmer to get there. Ample parking. I think they could make use of their outdoor space, it would be a nice option and people driving by would notice the outdoor diners. The fatty salmon nigiri for dinner AYCE is my favorite. So many options on the huge menu like creative apps, noodles, fried rice, katsu - sushi and non sushi lovers alike will find plenty to choose from. They're quick, there was a time I didn't even notice they had refilled my drink.I ordered all the vegetarian rolls, of which there are 3. These rolls are bigger than the standard sushi roll you can order. This is great because with less protein the veggie options tend to be less filling so you order more. Every roll was delicious. No, they were DELICIOUS. The Vegetable Tempura Roll was crispy and tasty. My dining companion said it was her favorite. I let her eat several of them because I could not eat all of this on my own. The Green Land Roll was light and refreshing, but again so many giant pieces made it pretty filling. The Vegetarian Roll was wrapped in cucumber and was a snappy delight. I think about these rolls often and am excited to come back for more Green Land and to try something else."

Other additions or substitutes are available at extra charge.Your food is prepared for you right at your table around the large flat top grills and what a show it is. The chef engages with the diners as he shows off his knife and spatula skills which are very impressive by themselves then he adds touches of fire and flame throughout as well.If you are looking for a dining experience and a show at the same time, this is the place to go. The chicken teriyaki was very good and my wife really enjoyed the noodles and steak as well. We luckily had a reservation and were seated right away.A man dressed like a manger greeted us and took our drink order then ran off. The restaurant was extremely busy and he was the only server. I found that to be a very foolish decision especially since this was Valentine's Day! Let's plan better for the busiest day of the year shall we? We waited quite a while but then our food came. We ordered a sushi roll after getting our appetizers and dessert. Those took a long time so it's a good thing we didn't wait longer to order. We got our food and I unrolled my fork to find it was gross and dirty! Please polish your silverware before rolling them up next time.I wanted dessert and they were completely out of ice cream (green tea, vanilla, and chocolate!) This place is a 3-star quality restaurant tops. FOOD: Shrimp tempura (2/5) seemed like it came out of a frozen box. Bulgogi-Don (3/5) was decent but the bowl looked sad in terms of their beef ration. The Volcano sushi (3/5) was mediocre even after sitting on its own puddle of oil. And finally, the Double Spicy sushi (2/5) was double the disappointment. The sushi on top felt too cold/icy. SERVICE: The waitress was very nice so no complaints here. LOCATION: It is located in the middle of Texas State University inside a strip mall with plenty of parking. NOTEWORTHY: Relatively cheap, which is probably very attractive to the college kids on campus. But you get what you pay for."

Shannon B. "After loving our dinner and lunch take-out experiences from Odaku (a family-run Korean Japanese fusion place at Parmer & Mopac) for the past year, I finally got the chance to experience dine-in this month and I am still a big fan. My special friend & I celebrated our first date night of 2025 here and everything was great!- Getting a table at 6p on Saturday night was no problem. I could *not* believe there was no wait. This just tells me that too few people know how wonderful the quality of food & service is at Odaku.- Table service was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and unobtrusive, exactly what I'm looking for on a date night or really any time.- Food was sooo good! Beautiful presentation, fresh ingredients, tasty, well-executed. We had sushi this night, ordering 2 huge rolls (9 pieces each!) and a chef's choice nigiri dinner (9 thick pieces). I typically stick with sashimi, as I am not a fan of overly sauced, mostly rice rolls drowning in mayo, but Odaku kept every component in balance.- Price was reasonable for the high quality of the products, especially compared to our other excellent but overbooked alternative spot across the highway. We had such a great meal and conversation over a shared bottle of junmai. Now that we know Saturday night isn't a hassle (at least at our preferred early dinner hour), we will definitely be back here for future date nights. I'm looking forward to more exploration of the Korean side of the menu, too.I also noticed that the back north section of the restaurant has several traditional floor-seated tables with cooktops for 8 or so people. This looks like a fun option for a large group who want to do Korean BBQ or hot pot."

Michael C. "Tokyo Steak House is a wonderful place to celebrate special moments. It appears to resemble Benihana restaurant setup, but a bit more affordable. We celebrated my daughter's 32nd birthday. But since she was not available, we dined in her honor. I read the reviews and determined that folks either have a "Loved it" or Hated it" experience. (Yet I notice restaurant management always replied to the negative comments). From 5 stars - 1 stars. I couldn't decide, so I went with the opinions of my fellow "Elites". Most of them had a 4-5 star experience. When we arrived at least three of the teppanyaki grills were already occupied. We wound up dinning at our own grill, with no other guests. I've eaten at Benihana restaurants before and always had a full table, so this was a bit definitely different. I've always enjoyed the fellowship of strangers over a good meal. We both order Sirloin Steak combo meals. My wife ordered Sirloin Steak and Chicken. I ordered Steak and Salmon. Our Chef arrived and started the show. I've already seen it performed at two other tables, so I knew the drill. Yet our guy was very enthusiastic about his performance. But his true skills were revealed in his cooking. Watching him prepare the meals was poetry in motion. Both steaks were seasoned well. Cooked as requested and quite juicy. Lots of butter and what ever "secret sauce" is in the red mystery bottle. My salmon was nice and tender, with a slight crust on the outside. Just the way I like it (how did he know???) While watching him cook, I thought for sure it would be over cooked, yet I hesitated to comment. Glad I did, as it was prepared perfectly. Overall service was outstanding! Delicious food. Price reflected the quality we enjoyed. My dining experience was fulfilled. Come celebrate your next event at Tokyo Steak House. They have plenty of steel teppanyaki grills. There are also tables to just enjoy the meal, without the show, although at some tables you might get a partial view. It's a great affordable way to enjoy Asian cooking that isn't takeout. Come and enjoy the fun. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx."

A long wait after we had a server come by and we gave her our order. The food didn't take long to come out. It is large portions. I thought I ate about half until I dished the left overs in a box, and realized how much more was actually left. Wow! I ordered the crab rangoons. It's an order of 5 and they are very delicious. I also ordered the orange chicken which came with white rice in a separate small bowl. The orange chicken has a wonderful sauce and some perfectly steamed broccoli. (It did heat very well the next day in the oven) so I really got 2 great meals. Service was slow, took a long time to get our check. We had to ask someone if they could get our server. But it was packed and I'm sure it was just an over sight. They did turn the projectors on and the wall was like a moving aquarium. Very nice scenery to look at. Hope to be back again."
