Christine G. "I've had Home Slice Pizza before as takeout from both locations, so I knew I was in for good food when I planned a lunch here. Dining in, however, offered a very different and even more impressive experience. Our server was attentive, and it was nice to have one of the booths at our table for two. They checked on us several times throughout our meal and responded quickly even as the place got busy.We ordered the vegetarian pizza topped with spinach, roasted red peppers, green olives, and onions, requesting a crispy crust. The crust was indeed crispy, just as my friend wanted, and it paired perfectly with the hot cheese and toppings. We really appreciated the kitchen's effort to cook the pizza to our liking, though I think I'll stick with the original NY-style crust on my next visit. The most remarkable aspect of dining inside was the atmosphere. The restaurant opens at 11, and we arrived at 11 on a Sunday to grab a table. By 11:30, the place was already filled up and bustling.I must give a special shoutout to the restroom--it's the most impressive restroom I've ever visited at a restaurant, let alone a pizza place. It's not just the decor or the space; it's the amenities offered. At the sink, there were stocked mouthwash, paper cups, cotton balls, cotton swabs, various flavors of gum and mints, hair ties, hair clips, combs, and sanitary items. This attention to detail shows how much the establishment cares for its customers and their comfort. As if the amazing food weren't enough of a reason to love this place, these thoughtful details really add an extra cherry on top of an already great experience."

John V. "Arpeggio's is like stumbling upon a hidden gem in a sea of trendy, overpriced spots. This isn't the kind of place with neon signs or minimalist décor. No, it is refreshingly unpretentious, and that's exactly what makes it shine.Every time I walk in, I'm greeted like an old friend--one who remembers my order and insists I try the tea, which, by the way, is fantastic. This place knows how to keep it simple and delicious. The gyros are outstanding, packed with flavor and a perfect balance. They even have a mini pistachio pastry that's a little bite of heaven. Here's the honest scoop, though: if you're used to a more Americanized take on Mediterranean, you might want to ask about ingredients before you dive in. Arpeggio leans authentic, so the toppings might surprise you if you're expecting the standard fare. And a friendly warning to my fellow low-riders: avoid the Airport Blvd entrance if you're not into the whole "scraping-the-undercarriage" experience. The side street is your friend here. For the late crowd, note that they start winding down about 15 minutes before closing. So, if you're coming in that last half-hour, it might be a smoother experience to grab it to go--nobody wants a rush on a good gyro.In short, this place delivers a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with food that hits the spot without hitting the wallet too hard. I'll keep coming back as long as they keep rolling out those gyros. And next time, maybe I'll actually check out the patio or settle into one of those floor tables for the full experience."

This is one of my three "go to" spots for the "what do you want for dinner" question. My wife is lactose intolerant and the vegan cheese they have here is actually pretty damn good where I don't mind eating it (not as good as normal cheese but pretty close)I always look forward to their collabs with other breweries and hope to see Beachwood and other breweries I used to drink at collab again!"

Justin W. "Always delicious. Nice family-run Italian place. It's not "high end" but the ambience is nice, service is good, folks are friendly. They have a pretty expansive menu of traditional Italian dishes and good classic desserts - Tiramisu, Italian Creme Cake, etc. Overall solid choice if you're feeling traditional Italian at a reasonable price. If you were born and raised in Italy you might find something to complain about, but we have never had anything but great food here. Note the 5* rating reflects the cost and everything else. You can certainly get better Italian in Austin for twice the price."

This rating is more focused on this place being a hangout place for groups than the beer selection or food.Came here on a winter's night for post dinner drink on a Wednesday. There was a band and people dancing.Beer line is pretty obvious when you enter the building. They have cocktails too.The bar top wraps around the furthest wall so lots of bar seating. Tons of picnic style tables in a row for large groups and lots of room for groups to stand.Since it was a cold night didn't venture to the outdoor seating. If you are getting picked up by ride share there are a couple of driveways that aren't connected so make sure you know which driveway your driver pulled into.Parking can be tight during peak hours but that is most of Central Austin - ride share and the hassle is eliminated."

Marie S. "I didn't have high expectations of this place. First, it's near dirty 6th. Second, it's downtown. Most of the better restaurants in downtown have a primary focus on beef. The really great restaurants in Austin are outside of the downtown area. From the outside, it looks unassuming and, well, a place you may not walk into. Parking is challenging. If your lucky, you may find street parking close by. Once we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the vintage charm and cozy atmosphere. There were three large groups (about 25 people) taking up half the dining room. The other half sat at the bar. There was a large group celebrating a birthday. The place filled with laughter, chatter, soft music in the background and smell of pizza baking in the stone oven.We arrived during happy hour so we ordered every appetizer. We loved all the appetizers. They have only beer and wine. We shared the Bianca and Fennel. The crust was crispy but not hard. The pizza was simple and not greasy. Service, food and atmosphere were excellent. I would have given them 5 stars if the manager didn't tel us that we had to leave because they had a 7:45 reservation for the table we were at. Our server did not bring the bill. A better way would have been to ask if there was anything else we wanted and bring the bill. Take the payment, thank us and wish us a good night. We would have taken the lead and left.Make sure you reserve a table ahead of time. Space is limited. Overall, we had a lovely evening and did not regret eating here."

Daniel V. "Everything we tried there was delicious. The dry rub and Thai chilli wings were both baked perfectly, had a nice crispy skin and just the right amount of seasoning and sauce. The Palo Alto pizza and hummus were both great too. Hummus could come with a little more bread but the crust on the pizza was some of the best I had. The garlic fries were fresh and crispy, also seasoned nicely. They have a ton of beers on draft. The blueberry blonde was my favourite. I do like that the place has a lot of tvs with a variety of sports on, but there's not a lot of seating with back support in the restaurant. It's quite dimly lit in the restaurant, which I don't mind. The server and food runners though could have been a bit friendlier. All in all, good food, good drinks selection, decent service, and reasonable prices."

Two things that took a star off. The tables are very close together. To leave we had the excuse ourselves from the adjoining party as the backs of our chairs were very close. I found this spot as I was the itinerary food planner for our Austin Texas trip. My boss thanked me for this one, it definitely exceeded our expectations. We made reservations to be safe but on a Tuesday evening around 7pm, it was hardly busy. There were plenty of tables open that evening and they also had larger tables to accommodate groups of around 8 or 10 (I would call in to be certain). We ordered the Margherita pizza, super simple pizza but the toppings and the dough especially made this so delicious. The dough had to be my favorite part. Was fresh and not too crunchy, soft in the right spots. We both ate the entire thing, it wasn't too heavy but a perfect size for two ladies. If I am ever in Austin again, I will make it a point to come back here again. Thank you for the great service and excellent dinner!"

First, I was blown away by the thin-crust pie because I usually like a regular or pan-crust. Second, the sauce, pepperoni, and cheese ratio was on point, and the overall flavor of the pie was exceptional. Finally, your pie has swayed me back to pizza. David F. ""Ordered the Italian salad with a side of shrimp because, you know, carbs are my mortal enemy right now. Let me tell you, the salad was a surprise hit--like the indie film you weren't expecting to love. The house vinaigrette had this mild sweet tang that made my taste buds do a happy dance. The onions, cheese, and what I'm 95% sure was hominy (who knew?) were like a perfectly balanced squad of flavor. A true underdog story. The shrimp? Well, it was shrimp. Sizzled in butter, obviously delicious, because when has butter ever let anyone down? And the portion was surprisingly generous, so my wallet didn't cry either.Would I come back? Oh, absolutely. While I was being virtuous with my carb-conscious choices, my family was out here devouring pizza, baked ziti, and desserts from their Italian bakery like they were living in a Food Network special. If this salad was that good, I can only imagine the level of culinary witchcraft happening in the carb-loaded section of the menu. 10/10 would risk my diet for their bakery next time.""

Ted C. "I called to see if they were dog friendly and the person on the phone mentioned we could sit outside but it wouldn't be eligible for happy hour. What's the happy hour deal? 1/2 off pizzas and 2 bucks off of house wines and draft beers?Sorry, pooch. You're going to have to stay home because this merits further exploration. Their HH deal runs everyday, so I went Sunday and it was quiet so I got sat pretty quickly. It was my first time so the server was happy to go over the menu and reiterated the happy hour pricing. I started off with the olives and nuts, the burrata and the Caesar salad. The olives and nuts seemed simple but were delicious-the nuts were seasoned and roasted. The burrata had peaches which was not something I had before but it made a great pairing. The Caesar salad though was the surprising item, a pretty usual staple item but I'm not sure what it was but it was delicious. If you see my photos there's 2 pizzas; I ended up ordering four. Half off, so 4 for the price of 2, why not? I didn't have a bad one the two missing were the four cheese and the mushroom and it was gone before I realized that I didn't snap a photo. I ordered the Taleggio and Calabrese after I had finished and the first two. Oh, and since it was after 4 I got the Cacio e Pepe-understated but rich. You'd think after all that I'd be done but when I found out that the sorbet was watermelon I had to have it. I've made Buffalina a regular stop now, usually for Happy hour but I'm still happy any time of day."

I was shocked by how hot the wings and pizza were. The negative on the salad... the dressing was already on it. I did not see a "dressing on the side" option when ordering. If I'm the restaurant, I would always put the dressing on the side for a to go or delivery order... just me! The wings were good, just wings, no batter... fried crispy and the sauce was good and hot (spiciness). The pizza was also good, nice thin crust. A tad soggy in the middle, but that could be because it sat in a box on the counter for 30 minutes while I ate the wings and salad. All in all, a good meal, delivered quickly! We'll definitely try it again. Recommend Saconne's for pizza, salad and wings."

Jens B. "I'm feeling rather nostalgic today with such great weather outside, I am thinking patio's perhaps. A nice Pinot Grigio with my cutie pie Suzie. The patio thoughts reminded me of our neighborhood pizza place. Mangieri's has a generous patio area as well as a cozy, warm restaurant inside. We have been enjoying Piper's and Tony's cuisine since they first opened their doors, what 15yrs or more ago? They are our neighborhood stable and have employed probably more of our neighbor's children than anyone else! What works here with Mangieri's, is they get it.... Have a reasonable menu, with good fresh, in house made ingredients whenever possible and booze. Luckily we are close enough for delivery. They have been on our weekly rotation for many, many years. I personally love their pasta dishes. Spousey loves their pizza's. Their Buffalo Wings are incredibly simple and yummy. Spousey usually gets the artichoke dip. I enjoy their strombolis as well as my favorite pie, Hot Pig. Austin Scope Ice Cream and a solid Tiramisu is also available. They also provide something that seems to be lost to a lot of restaurants, consistency and keeping things simple. We like going in as much as getting a regular delivery. The bar is simple and small. But full enough of whacka do's to converse with, if you choose. Us being part of that crowd. Well, to be real, we have some very colorful neighbors and many are quite verbose. We wouldn't want it any other way. They do have half price bottle wine night, I just cannot remember the days, but it's a weekly thing, so you may want to check their website.Ok, we heading out right now, maybe today is half price wine night..."

The person at the store was really helpful in answering our questions and guiding us to an order we were happy with. The medium size spicy paneer was comfortable for 2, but if you're really hungry a large size could work too. The flavors were good and the amount of paneer topping was generous. The crust isn't flatbread thin - it's not crispy - but yes, it doesn't have much rise to it. But it also doesn't get soggy - we had our pizza about 30 minutes after picking it up. My only reason to hold back one star is the price. I thought it was a bit high - so it makes this a lovely novelty option but wish I could say it's everyday value."
