"Lord love a duck. Delicious even after all these years. One of our favorite places to eat during lunch"
"Let me tell you this guy works his butt off to feed all the drunk and hungry people at 3am on the weekend. I saw him sweating it out for a very long time to make delicious food for his awaiting customers. No AC just a mini fan and so many people came in through his door and bothered him. He deserves a medal for braving it out, making good food for the crazies. We had chicken wraps and they were spectacular! Highly recommend if you are out in this area!"

"Generous servings made fresh to order. Price is very competitive considering that more than likely you will not be able to finish your meal and can make it a 2nd meal for later. Pita bread was not really warm even when wrapped it foil, tasted more like a tortilla, but the salad, cucumbers and tomatoes, was delicious. That was my favorite part of my meal along with the gyro."
"My Lebanese banker shared this gem with me, and I've been back twice in just one week... and I'm longing for more. Wanna go? It's owned and run by an attractive family of GREAT cooks. The food tastes home made. The atmosphere is super friendly. Don't be discouraged by its location on Guadalupe. Odds are you will find parking right on the premises.Do you like baba ganoush? I think Kabobzi serves the best. I'm stuck on it and cannot imagine visiting this restaurant without ordering it every single time. My paternal grandparents were from Lebanon, and my grandmother was a sensational cook. This baba ganoush was better than hers. It's served with small warm pita bread that's fresh out of the oven.Pair that with an Almaza, an excellent cold Lebanese beer or a glass of wine. The lamb kabobs are flavorful, moist and served on a bed of rice with a choice of sides that can include tabule (oddly free of bulghur wheat but delicious, nevertheless), and the coveted, prized, amazing baba ganoush. This is healthful food that is very reasonably priced and served at a central location that is friendly and even fun."
"Oh man. I think it's the best falafel I've ever had. Perfect after a night of trolling the 6th Street bars. Highly recommended."
"They are located at Lakeline Mall, where Buca di Beppo used to be. My girlfriend and I both loved Rumaan Mediterranean. The owner husband is Jordanian, and the owner wife is Palestinian. Initially, my girlfriend and I were concerned because no one else was in the restaurant at 3:30 P.M. on a weekday. But the food was really delicious. Their food is really clean and healthy. I ordered the beef shawarma plate with saffron rice, hummus, and salad. It had the perfect amount of acidity. I also ordered a mint lime lemonade, which was very refreshing. My only wish is that they offered at least one dairy free gelato or sorbet."
"Is it fair to write a review based on literally one item? I am vegetarian and gluten-free so the only option was the falafels. They were good -- crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside -- and the sauces accompanying it were very well flavored.I'd say a good neighborhood option, but not something I'd drive across town for."
"I've come by here several times. I love Cava. Food is tasty, you can get extra scoops of veggies and there are a large selection thin of toppings to choose from. Given that this place can get pretty packed I would like to take a moment to comment on how nice the servers are. Food service has its challenges so I understand how tired one could get after serving the billionth person. I've never had an issue, evening going late. Steely is always such a fun guy who is always giving awesome service. Today we were served by Bella. She was so sweet and helpful. They ran out of chicken but had more out soon. She definitely deserves kudos. I'll continue to be a regular patron."
"What a yummy lunch. I ordered from GrubHub today: the beef shawarma Wrap with fries and baklava. The wrap was stuffed to the brim with shawarma, but had an equal amount of their awesome salad mix: romaine lettuce tomatoes with a fine dice of cucumber. No big pieces perfectly complemented the savory and delicious meat. The white and red sauce added some nice but not overpowering heat. The fries were ketchup and the white sauce. These were your typical fast food thin fries, and I wasn't overly impressed, but the wrap more than makes up for it. The baclava was sweet and flaky, honey and small chopped nuts that was a perfect dessert to finish my lunch.I loved the food, and will definitely try a plate next time to get some of their Greek salad. So nice to have an alternative to Kebablicious since I no longer work downtown. Grateful for GrubHub; the order was packed well and didn't spill."
"Super tasty! Very authentic. Brought my friend who had never had Iraqi food before. She loved it! I knew she would! We ordered the Kubba, Baba Ghanouj, chicken shawarma sandwiches on samoon bread, lentil soup, and traditional tea.It was all amazing. And the employees were super nice and welcoming.I'll definitely be back when I come to town!!"
"The ambiance is sexy and sophisticated. The service is efficient and friendly! The food is delicious! The oysters are a must!"
"This was my favorite place to get gyros from in West Campus. The meat and vegetables were always flavorful and juicy."

Cute little restaurant located on a strip. Yummy, good quality food.Variety of Mediterranean/ European items. We split the Brisket Ravioli ($17) and the Cheeseboard ($14). The ravioli was obviously handmade with toothsome, chewy dough and protein rich filling in a pesto sauce. I love how nicely they split items. The cheeseboard had a nice variety of items.Staff was very polite.

The chicken Gyro was absolutely incredible. One of the best I've ever had. If you're looking for a late night snack, this is definitely the place to go. The cheeseburger was awesome as well.

"Aladdin Halal Grill", continues to be one of the best gyros in town. I love the quality of the food and the freshness of their products. They have an excellent menu variety and the food is prepared to order. Stop on in and say what's up to "Temarius" behind the counter. Michael C - Georgetown, Tx.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The woman who greeted us was friendly and seemed to be running the front of the restaurant all on her own. She cleaned our tables, brought our menus and water, and took our orders, all while waiting on the other patrons at the same time. I was part of a group of 5. I ordered grape leaves to start since they are one of my favorites. They were warm and delicious, with just the right amount of tartness at the finish. I loved that they were served with Kalamata olives. I was especially glad that I ordered them when the rest of the table's dinner arrived, minus mine. I had made some dietary modifications to my order, so this was understandable. Everyone else at the table complimented the quality of the food. I ordered the beef shawarma bowl. The combination of warm shawarma with cold Greek salad in the same bowl was interesting and efficient. I appreciated that they took my food modifications- no cucumbers, onion, or garlic sauce, without missing a beat and delivered beautifully. A great place to visit if you enjoy Mediterranean food and great service.

Great gyro spot! Was dropping off a friend nearby when I got a hankering for a lamb gyro and when I searched, it turned out that I was just a couple of blocks away from here. The menu is being updated for prices, but the lamb/chicken combo gyro I had was $9 and the fries were $5. The ordering was friendly and paying easy with the tap option. Order took like 10 minutes. I decided to eat in my car because I had a feeling I was going to need privacy. I did! Everything was so good! Super soft pita loaded with meat, veggies and sauce. It was messy and beautiful. The fries were crispy and tasty with the ketchup and white sauce combo. Kind of like the ketchup mayo that you get in south America. Putting this one with my top gyro spots in ATX.Update:Just visited again after a couple of months and everything was just as delicious. Got a combo over rice this time and it was loaded! Had them add their spicy sauce and it was so worth it! Not ridiculously hot, with lots of tangy flavor. Worth it!

I want to commend this place for the absolutely amazing service! They took care of my large group of 13 people with such attentiveness and care. The food was amazing. Really great portions too. I got the beef and chicken shawarma. Meats were seasoned great. Love the ratio of meat, rice, salad, and hummus. I was confused about the Lakeline mall location but it was actually convenient for a large group to come here. BTW it's not inside the mall, it's just right by JC Penney.

Look out, South 1st shawarma scene -- Eat a Pita, the latest comer to the '04s halal brawl, has a new head of operations, and he's mean and lean. Having just replaced the quote unquote old man previously at the helm this past Tuesday, Nick's in it to win it. Judging by the chicken shawarma he's serving up, the man clearly means business, and he's certainly earned mine. A few nights ago, I called in to take out; my wife was hungry, my cooking obligations long overdue, and chicken shawarma was the order of the day. Specifically, a plate of chicken shawarma over rice, con todo, *extra* onion. Finally feeling free to quit fuddling with the food processor and have the chance to spend adequate time tending to my Firemans, my night held bright portents. My thirst satiated, and good vittels inevitable, things seemed more or less in the bag. But wait! A hitch in the plan!? Upon my call-in order, I was informed that onions had been 86'd for the night. Our emaciated pantry, having withered while weathering our 2-week 2-year-anniversary-vaca-absence, had no alliums on offer. And our local HEB wasn't just due to close up shop for the night; slated to shutter permanently in a scant few weeks, the threadbare shelves I'd witnessed the night prior granted no assurances worthy of justifying the extra ~60 second drive. In a few words, onions were out. And you know what? We were honestly fine. My wife and I are both adults, and able to handle small disappointments. But upon my arrival to the cart, the gravity of Nick's effusive apologies would have suggested I held a far more grotesque grievance; like he'd inadvertently dropped my baby, not just made an innocent inventory error. Utterly repentant over the mildly surprising absence of the staple veg, Nick promised he'd make it right. Or something along those lines. I don't really remember, because it wasn't a big deal, and I made as much clear. But his express contrition stood in stark contrast with the comportment of other Austin area service industry professionals. Indeed, while it's probably true that your quintessential waiter in this town isn't significantly more likely than Nick to commit infanticide, they have a tendency, over the course of attending to you, to at least make you *feel* like they want to murder your firstborn. The fact that my experience seemed to matter to him was refreshing, to say the least. After the air'd been cleared, we got to talking, and Nick let me know he'd be running the show from here on out. And as his previously expressed investment in my customer experience would suggest, Nick impressed upon me that the quality of his product was of similar import to him. As such, he invited my opinion, in the form of an online review (and actually said he'd prefer Google, but I'm a Yelp kinda guy). Nick wanted me to be frank; he didn't want me to pull any punches. But I let him know that even if it was the worst food I'd ever eaten, that he'd receive an honest & objective review, and walk away with no less than four stars. And that's because not only am I tactful enough not to nickel and dime a proprietor's stars away on account of my perhaps divergent take-out related neuroses, I'm also gracious and merciful enough not to take out whatever myriad stress is affecting me today out on a recently established business. Maybe I am making a big deal over nothing after all. But I know Yelp users: I know how they can get testy over minutiae, and be stingy with the stars as a result. All I'm saying is, maybe don't tickle the tiger. I just fear some may construe such an inquest as to their candor as a challenge. In any event, you're probably noticing the review is for 5 stars. Nick's got chops; onions or not, the plate was scrumptious. I'd more or less written this truck off after my initial try or two, but on Nick's account, Eat a Pita will likely find itself a fixture in our shawarma rotation. Finally, I must mention the icing on the cake; Nick's complimentary gulab jamun (the national dessert of Pakistan). It was lovely, aromatic, and sweet, truly capping our meal off on a triumphant note. And while I can't guarantee yours will be on the house, onions or not, you might want to give it a try. I recommend it!

Loved it! But I'm not the only one. My friend and I got there at 11:30am. It was empty. Got our bowls. Sat down suddenly there was a long line, which was handled quickly by an efficient, well trained, friendly staff. We were newbies so all was explained in a courteous manner. We both loved our bowls. I got half steak half roast lamb, sorry I didn't get all roasted lamb, it was fabulous. Don't miss the "in house brewed drinks. I loved my Blueberry-Lavender drink but there were a couple others I want to try next time. The line never stopped but it goes quickly.I could go here daily and not get bored with the selections!

"The food is excellent! I ordered a chicken shawarma and dolmas. The dolmas were sooo good! The shawarma was huge and I was able to share bc of how big the portion was, so good too! Most of all- excellent customer service! I had gotten distracted with my little one and accidentally left my wallet there, it was safe and sound when I returned to pick it up. Thank you so much for your kindness! Definitely recommend and we will be back!"
"Oh my goodness this place is fantastic!!! From the gyros to the dolmas, everything is fresh tasting and delicious. The food truck is a must visit for those in the area or out for a drive to Hamilton pool. PS: the food is made to order so expect a 10-15 minute wait."
"WOW! I absolutely love Greek food and Atlas just knows how to merge Greek & sandwiches so seamlessly. There really are no bad options on the menu and I can't wait to make my way through the entire thing. The service is also awesome! I love being able to support local businesses. You've got to check this place out!"
"Went to the Neuces St food truck. Ordered the combo of gyro and chicken over rice. It also included a little salad, white sauce and spicy sauce. It was plentiful and good. The service was friendly and quick."
"I love Mediterranean food so when my sister-in-law recommended eating here for dinner while visiting from Maine this week, I could not have been more excited. The restaurant is beautiful and the food tasted amazing. I tried the house-made dolmas, lamb gyro, and steak skewer (kids' meal.) All were incredible! The fries that came with the gyro were deliciously seasoned and my two-year-old's favorite however both my kids (other one four) devoured the steak as well. The special sauce that came with the gyros was one of my favorites however I have no idea what it even was-- still highly recommend! Service was great as my daughter spilled a whole seltzer water on the table shortly after it was delivered and they grabbed us rags and were very cool about it. It wasn't too busy when we visited and our food arrived quickly and as ordered! Highly recommend.P.S. The entire menu looked so amazing, choosing a meal was hard so be prepared for making a tough decision."
"This is a Five Star Review on a menu I normally hate.I absolutely adore Persian food.It is one of my favorite cuisines on the planet. But I am very fussy about my Persian food.I want genuine complicated exotic Persian dishes.I want Rice with a beautiful crust burned into the bottom.I want elaborate stews with tart berries mixed in with the meat.I want tea with sugar balls the size of an egg that you hold in your mouth.I want soup made with lamb tripe. Most of the famous Persian dishes have ingredients that you only get in the Middle East.In contrast - Shandeez uses plain ordinary American ingredients.Much of the menu involves gyros and gyro meat.Nearly everything else uses items you could buy in an HEB.These are Persian recipes adapted for the American Restaurant Supply Industry. This normally puts me in a sour mood. But Shandeez is a five star place.* * *Why does Shandeez get five stars?Because they somehow find remarkable versions of these simple raw ingredients. The ingredients may be obtainable in an HEB - but THEIR versions of those ingredients are not.Their versions are better, much better.I was immediately and totally in love.* * *Of special note:a) the best feta cheese in Austin that is not Phoenicia Deli's French feta cheese.b) the best pita bread that is not Phoenicia Deli's own pita bread ... and in the case of Phoenicia you sort of have to eat yours the same day.c) superior Gyro meatd) high quality olives.e) great great great raw onions* * *They give you a free starter of pita bread, butter, their special deal feta cheese, raw onions and walnuts.Frankly, you don't need anything else.I could eat basket after basket after basket of that combo.I virtually never put butter on pita bread.James Beard claims the best sandwich he ever invented was white bread, butter and raw onion. You can make that sandwich yourself off the starter plate at Shandeez. It is just as good as James Beard says. But that feta cheese is going to be hard to ignore - and the walnuts add all sorts of interest.* * *Servings are huge here. One appetizer can easily be a meal for you. They have an appetizer of kalamata olives, feta cheese and the pita bread.I would look at that one very very seriously. But we did the smoked eggplant appetizer. It was utterly insane.I had a gyro salad That item is straight off of the American menu list - here called Greek, rather than American. The salad looks small but isn't.The amount of gyro meat looks ungenerous but it isn't.It turns out that there is layer after layer after layer of gyro meat, with the greek dressing, lettuce and tomato cutting the gyro perfectly.I would have that dish again in a nanosecond. My vegetarian wife adored her grilled vegetables with hummus. The couple we were with got lamb and chicken kebabs respectively.Their plates were huge with vast amounts of rice, good grilled tomatoes and first rate kebabs.* * *Simple grilled meats make up most of the menu although there are a teeny tiny number of stews. My gyros and my co-diners kebabs suggest that grilled meat will do you just fine at Shandeez.* * *So save your elaborate Persian dishes for great cities with large diaspora Persian populations. You can eat like a shah in Los Angeles or London. For the simple Persian pleasures of life, it is hard to beat Shandeez. Now lets have about ten more of those baskets of bread, butter, onion and feta cheese."
"Great. Had the kebab and tikka plate. Made fresh so there was a 10 min wait. While waiting, Br. Mohanad hooked me up with some sample sized baklava! It was yummy and very thoughtful of him. The meal itself was tasty. Both the Chicken Tikka and beef kababs were nicely seasoned and succulent on the inside. The red and white sauce paired very well and the rice was okay by itself but mixing it with the sauces gave it that added oomph!Portion wise, it was a little too much for me for one sitting but not enough to satisfy 2 adults. Yes, there are other chains in Austin specializing in NY halal street foods that serve bigger portions at a similar price but at around $10, I just can't complain too much about this considering it still lasts me almost 2 meals and I'd much rather give my money to these small businesses than the larger chains.I will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items."
"I get this place on Uber eats all the time, and it is always hot, fresh and delicious. It's one of the more reasonably priced halal options and probably the best halal I've had from a food truck."
"yum town. the carrot hummus is a must. their bowls are nutritious and delicious with substantial serving, its basically two full meals"
"We have been coming to Tino's for years. This place is the best Greek around in my opinion. I love the lunch and dinner special. Are you hungry? Do you want to eat right away? You go through the line and they give you delicious, fresh food. Great portions, fast service, perfection."
"Delicious! Enjoyed every bite. Great end to the night with amazing food. Plus great customer service."
"Really lovely, lowkey spot! I only stumbled upon this place. The front patio area is really pretty, the lighting is nice and dim and I think there was a live band and belly dancer last night! So cool. The back room area is dingy and dirty looking. They honestly need to make sure the entire place is well decorated, clean and presentable for paying customers! Service was really poor and disappointing. My server was rude and inconsistent. She came to check on us a total of two times and then came back to say "are you done? We need the tea pot and glasses" this was extremely unprofessional and rude!! My party of 3 was shocked and uncomfortable after this. The food was good. I ordered the Shih Tawook plate, but she brought me the wrap instead at that point it didn't matter and the wrap costs as little less. The mint tea was refreshing and strong! The presentation of it was pretty. My friend indulged in hookah and ordered the passion fruit? It smelled nice. I didn't try any desserts on this visit but I definitely will next time around! I hope the owner takes hospitality seriously and improve with feedback! I look forward to returning to give this place one more shot because the vibe with other patrons was amazing! Music was good and the food quality on point. FYI there is a parking lot but it is tiny and chaotic! Park on the street"
"Amazing chicken bowls. My kids wanted chicken tenders and fries and this fit the bill. my girls would never eat this if this was made at home but bc it was "dining out" they loved it. We've since been back and everyone ordered the same thing exactly how we had the first time.It has French fries topped with chicken and all the greek flavors and accoutrements. The flavor packed into this dish it was amazing. They have other dishes and one day i might be able to try them ...: ) but if its not broken dont fix it."
"This place is great. It was my first time here and I got the Harissa Bowl. This thing was a huge bowl, I had to take some of it home. Overall great tasting food. I'll be going back. It's like chipotle but healthier as far as the style of the place goes. You can build bowls or wraps. The drink selection is great. Blueberry Lavender (add lemonade) so good. Service was normal no issues and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Enjoy this place!!!!!!!"
"Very good food and friendly service. Our usual go-to is the kofta kabob plate and the sirloin tenderloin plate. I also enjoy their lentil soup. The plates are priced well at around $20+. Our friends had their chicken pizza (for the kids), and they said it was delicious. Ambiance is quiet. The decor is pretty cool with very detailed couches, chairs and tables. Only thing that's preventing me from giving a full five star is their wait time. It may be due to being understaffed, but the last time we visited a few days ago, we waited a total of about 40 minutes for the staff to take our orders and check us out (40 minutes additional on top of waiting on the food and eating). It was not that busy, but it took so long for them to give us our check, that we decided to stand by the register to get their attention ... and it still took them a while to get to us. But overall, we enjoy the food and y'all should check them out."
"Oops checked into the wrong place yesterday. This gets the atta boy. The Lady had a huge guyo whileI had the plate! I can highly recommend either at least as far as the lamb goes. Service was fast and the food was well party. Good work folks!"
"Any chance I get to try a new Italian spot, I go for it. This specific location has had its struggles over the years from past restaurants so I'm rooting for Bellissima! We've now ordered from them twice, once to-go and once dine in. Our to-go order included a spicy sausage and mushroom pizza along with the included bread. The pizza was fantastic! The large sausage bites covered every slice and was filled with flavor. I definitely wouldn't call it too spicy but it was very tasty. The only negative was that the bread rolls definitely don't travel well. The 25 mins it took for us to drive home and set up the table was enough for them to be decently hard. Not a major issue but something to keep in mind. Our dine in meal included a variety of pastas and the summer salad. The summer salad was the perfect starter for the table. Just enough for us all to have a few bites before our pasta. The short rib ragu was perfect. Fall apart meat that melted in your mouth with plenty of pene to go with it. Unfortunately, the bolognese was not the best. The pasta was overcooked so it was more of a mush in your mouth. All in all, the staff were fantastic, and the fresh bread rolls at the table are always a wonderful touch. I'm happy to have this place as an option down the street."
"I've been to both of Phoenicia locations and it's honestly a hidden gem! From their pastries and meals to their groceries it's a must try!! You can't go wrong with a falafel wrap or gyro plate the service is always fast and friendly. If you've driven by and thought about stopping just do it!"
"Always so good! All the toppings are so good, I love the crazy feta, baba ganoush, and tahini dressing. Place is always clean and service is quick. The price is pretty reasonable too."
"My GD wanted Fettuccine and we were headed to Georgetown so I jumped on Yelp and found Tony and Luigis close to where we were headed for the day and off we went...I had seen on multiple reviews about making reservations, so I called and our table was waiting when we arrived....also...no need to make reservations. For as long as this place has been there is was clean an up kept...Promptly seated by a very friendly waitress. The food was everything we expected...the complementary bread was hot and fresh And with real butter. We started with Calamari ( The GD new found love)...very fresh and cooked perfectly...along with the classic Mozzarella Stick that had amazing pull...The GD did "Build you own" with Fettuccine, Alfredo, Chicken and Goat Cheese...Wife went with the 4 Cheese Penne and myself I went with the Chicken Carbonara...All 3 were absolutely delicious...creamy and flavorful....The plates were loaded and the leftovers the next day were great. The most exciting thing about the visit, is they are planning on opening one in Taylor Texas which is Much close to Manor where we live."
"My son has been raving about Troy and last night I finally made it, and Troy delivered. There is a very chill, romantic ambiance with the low light and tasteful music. Immediately my wife and I both felt cozy. Our waiter Fati was a gem. We order the mezza plate which was delicious, followed by chicken kabobs for me and a chicken Greek salad for her. Both were quite enjoyable. Fati offered an off the menu dessert called Katmer. The dish is like a flat, baklava with goats milk cream. Delicious. Troy will be in our regular spots for dining. Loved it."
"What a cute little spot. Thank you, Inkind, for sending me a coupon and discovering this little neighborhood spot!Stopped by for the end of happy hour and had a half priced Mediterranean Spritz. Not my normal drink at all as I don't love gin but the bartender Aaron promised me it didn't taste like gin and he wasn't wrong. The scallops and tuna crudo I got were both excellent. My only complaint is for the price I would have liked a bit more food. I left feeling hungry still. But the taste just did not miss.Aaron was great to talk to while I was dining solo, so 5* for customer service as well. Really liked this spot and will have to come back."
"Open during ACL! Highly recommend. Loved the lamb gyro wrap! Very fresh! Can't wait to go back!! Location right off Barton Springs."
