"The restaurant is clean. The staff was friendly. The Bulgogi was perfect. This is my second time enjoying it. The first time I warmed it up and had it at home. I liked it that way better."
"This place really does hold a candle to the more well known Indian restaurants like Sangam! The restaurant itself is hidden in a tiny nook in a strip mall but the food here is delicious. We also really appreciated the kindness of the people working there. This will be one of our go-to from now on whenever we are craving yummy Indian food!"

"This place has great food and is very quick! Real octopus takoyaki and excellent bulgolgi!!!!"
"Cedar Park is sooooo lucky to have Hmart and the market eatery section added to the neighborhood. I loved the variety of Asian eateries...reminded me of the Hmart near The Colony (Dallas area). I took my time to peruse the variety of dishes and settled on estreet tacos - a fusion of Asian + Mexican inspired tacos! My tastebuds were literally overjoyed by how savory they were. No drinks are sold at the eateries...there is a main bar that serves all the drinks that has to be purchased separately. There is also a stage for live music, probably for Fridays and/or weekends. What an amazing food destination... very different than your typical food court...this is 100x better!"
"Food was ok not bad but not delicious:( Meat portion was literally 2 bites and I had to order more that potion was generous and only $2 so that was nice but for 25 for a soda a bulgogi bowl that was just ok I won't be back ."
"There was a short wait and a simple menu. I ordered the soy garlic chicken wings with sweet and spicy sauce on the side. The chicken was crispy and the sauce was the perfect mix of salty and savory. The spicy sauce on the side was the perfect addition. There's not that much seating so I wouldn't come here during rush hour with a big group. This place is definitely worth going to if you are craving Korean chicken wings."
"I specifically stop at H Mart for this spot! The spicy pork is unmatched!!!! Hard to rate the service in ambience when this is part of a food court, but I've never had any issue with either."
"Funky fun Korean BBQ. Yes there are lots of stylish dishes and a build your own menu to suit everyone, but at is core, they make really really good Korean BBQ meats. Also tried the kimchi fries. Very good. Mild kimchi flavor of you are intimidated.Great prices, fast service... Definitely return."
"Y'all...this was the best kimchi fried rice I've ever had in my life and I had it as takeaway so I'm sure it's even better when you eat it there. Can't wait to try like literally everything on the menu. A little on the pricy side but so worth it, very quality! The ambience is definitely a little over stimulating for me haha as it's more of a bar vibe (loud music and dark) or at least it was when I went in the evening but seems fun!"
"Researched sushi in San Marcos and this one had a high rating from over 200 Yelpers. Sure to not disappoint I thought, but Yelp has failed me this time surprisingly. This place is a 3-star quality restaurant tops. FOOD: Shrimp tempura (2/5) seemed like it came out of a frozen box. Bulgogi-Don (3/5) was decent but the bowl looked sad in terms of their beef ration. The Volcano sushi (3/5) was mediocre even after sitting on its own puddle of oil. And finally, the Double Spicy sushi (2/5) was double the disappointment. The sushi on top felt too cold/icy. SERVICE: The waitress was very nice so no complaints here. LOCATION: It is located in the middle of Texas State University inside a strip mall with plenty of parking. NOTEWORTHY: Relatively cheap, which is probably very attractive to the college kids on campus. But you get what you pay for."
"I am not going to bury the lede:Are you willing to pay 15 bucks per person for a gimmick? If the answer is yes, then this is a good place to do so. Kpop playing in the background. Clean, No frills, decent selection ordered from non spicy to spicy. Kind and polite service. They're skimpy on the toppings. But again, you're not paying for the toppings. You're paying for the gimmick. The place gets busy on the weekends. I saw a line the first time I was in the area and gave it a pass. Lunch hours on weekdays seem to be good for a quick pop in.As far as gimmick restaurants go, it's not bad. And there's nothing wrong with a gimmick. I love a good gimmick. America was built on gimmicks.Gen Z and Alpha, check the game tip:This is the perfect first or second date spot. It's only a few bucks more than McDonald's but is a bit classier, gives you something to talk about."
"Part Two of my H-Mart weekend journey...My partner and I also ordered from this eatery when here as well.I love some good street food! Tteokbokki is probably the most well-known Korean street snack in Korea. You can see mini vans or carts that sell it on the street. Tteok-bokki or stir-fried rice cakes is a popular Korean food made from small-sized garae-tteok (long, white, cylinder-shaped rice cakes) called tteokmyeon. The classic preparation of tteokbokki is to boil the cylindrically shaped cakes and eat them coated in a red sauce of chile paste, fermented bean paste, soy sauce, and sugar, topped liberally with sesame seeds. Fish cakes, boiled eggs, and scallions are some of the most commonly added ingredients. It can be seasoned with either spicy gochujang (chili paste) or non-spicy ganjang (soy sauce)-based sauce; the former being the most typical form, while the latter is less common and sometimes called gungjung-tteok-bokki (royal court tteok-bokki). The tteokbokki sauce is what gives this dish taste. The texture of this dish was on point and quite chewy and soft. The sauce for this dish had a kick and notes of hot pepper flakes and paste. The portion size here was generous and more than what would be offered up at a street cart. Shrimp KimbapKimbap is made with cooked rice and ingredients such as meat and vegetables rolled in seaweed. This Korean dish brings together shrimp, fresh vegetables, and seasoned rice, all expertly rolled into a bite-sized treat. For those who are curious, kimbap and sushi look alike, but they are indeed different. Kimbap, a Korean dish, uses sesame oil and sometimes sugar to season its rice, and the fillings are usually cooked or pickled. Sushi, a Japanese dish, uses vinegar-seasoned rice and often features raw fish. These Kimbap were on the drier side. In general, shrimp kimbap can taste dry if it doesn't have enough sauce, which was the case here."

Quiet little Korean shopfront in San Marcos. Order first via tablet (think Which 'Wich) and then they bring your food to the table. Everything tasted very fresh!! Hot sauce (upon request). Dishes are all between $11 and $13. A yummy diversion!

Shak and his team do a wonderful job - the food is consistently tasty and they clearly prepare it all from scratch. I have been 3 or 4 times - they just started doing lunch buffets, and will have to check that out at some point. The biryani is delightful, and their curries are top notch. Try the dum biryani (bone in chicken)! Their mango lassi is also delicious and perfectly cooling for when the spiciness hits me a bit hard haha.Pro tip: don't forget to try the Double Ka Meeta dessert - if you save some room! It's their specialty (and quite delicious)!!

Tasty and fresh sushi. This place is small, intimate and feels comfortable. You're able to have a conversation without having to yell. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. We started with the spicy garlic edamame. It is definitely spicy, but very delicious. I had the Alaska roll and the salmon and crab tasted fresh. Overall, this place is worth visiting and I'm looking forward to trying another roll.

Blown away at how good Korean Grill was tonight! Super thankful they were open in the first place being it's Christmas Eve. We got the bone broth, beef short rib and edamame. I also thought the prices were fair too, which is rare to say in Austin. The two owners couldn't have been more sweet as well. Great job!

As someone who grew up in South Korea, I have high expectations for Korean fried chicken, and Donkey Mo's didn't disappoint! I ordered the 12 KJ Thigh Nuggets in Sweet and Spicy, and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly crispy, juicy, and coated with just the right amount of sauce that balanced sweetness with a spicy kick. It reminded me of the flavors you'd find at street food stands back home, which made me nostalgic in the best way.I also got the Korean chicken moo (pickled white radish) which was okay. While it was crisp and refreshing, I found it lacking in the tangy vinegar punch that gives it the authentic flavor I'm used to. A little more acidity would make it spot-on for those familiar with the real thing. For the price, Donkey Mo's offers a generous portion of food, making it a great value. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone craving a taste of Korea, whether you're familiar with the cuisine or trying it for the first time. It's worth a visit!

Part Three of my H-Mart weekend journey with an updated review...My partner and I also ordered from this eatery too! Osam Bulgogi is an abbreviated name for Ojingeo Samgyeopsal Bulgogi. This dish originates from Gangneung, which is an area on the east coast of Korea and is a municipal city of Gangwon-do province. Bulgogi is typically prepared from beef, although pork or chicken are more common in some parts of Korea. A variety of different cuts are used, depending on the region and price. When beef is used, sirloin and ribeye are two very common choices. Similar to beef, pork bulgogi will often utilize pork belly due to its tenderness. Spicy squid and pork stir-fry or Osam bulgogi is a popular Korean dish. This has a wonderful combination of the surf and turf flavors - spicy and garlicky gochujang sauce with a hint of sweetness that brings everything oh so well together. The best part about this dish is the bulgogi sauce. The dish was accompanied by rice and a small ramekin of kimchi. Both the beef and squid were abundant in this dish. The heat from the sauce, jalapenos, and green onion added a 'crunchy' layer of spice. The kimchi was less than pleasing as it lacked heat, but that was overlooked as this was offered as a standard side.

There has been an influx of Korean restaurants, but KPUB makes it feel like a version of Koreatown (similar to the one in LA) is coming to Austin. A chicken, beer, soju, and eatery, it's been in the Cedar Park area with karaoke, authentic Korean food, and a lot of, you guessed it, soju.----Review SummaryPros:- Plenty of parking- Traditional Korean dishes- Full bar (soju to whiskey)- Karaoke rooms - Fair prices for food and drinks - Korean music blastingSide Notes:- Can make resys for larger parties- Closed on Mon and for lunch hours- Order via food appsWhat We Got:- Misc dishes - Karaoke room - Terra and Soju ----Detailed ReviewDesign/Space: Being from LA, this felt like a 술집 ("sul-eul jib" drinking home/place) in the heart of Koreatown. From KPOP (pop to hip-hop) to sports playing, the only difference is that you get the Dodgers or the Lakeshow games in LA. There are plenty of spots to sit with small to large groups, the bar seating, and private karaoke rooms to eat, sing, and drink with friends. Food/Drinks: You'll find your fan-faves from KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) to the rare things I love, such as chicken gizzards. You get a full bar, from Jameson to Johnny Walker Black, and then your choice of soju brands and beers (IPA to Asian-based beers). Like many Korean spots around town that serve soju, they know all the Korean games to drink and how to make every Korean drink, such as Somaek (소맥 - beer and soju mix). Staff: The owners are from LA, so they brought that vibe, food, and overall experience to Austin (Cedar Park). The staff is very friendly. My cousin recently lost his phone, and not only did they find it, but the manager charged it. Opportunities To Improve: This location has events and more, so check out its IG. It would be nice if it was open for lunch, but you might be tempted to drink soju during the day, which could be good or bad (it's 5 p.m. somewhere, right?). ----Overall SummaryIf you want to spend a night out with friends, drinking soju and singing songs at the same spot, KPUB is your destination. Even if it's out of your way, it's worth checking out, as the food is excellent, the vibes are great, and the owners welcome everyone.Don't forget to Uber or have a DD if you drink - the soju can creep up on you!

"First time trying this place out since it replaced Charm. I think it's definitely an improvement as far as non ayce korean food goes (only tried the regular menu today). It's clean and super spacious now. There was a separation between the regular diners and the ayce kbbq-ers which was considerate. We got the Kimchi and Beef Soft Tofu Jjigae as well as the Cold Noodles + Spicy Pork Bulgogi combo. The Banchan was good--i really liked their kimchi, fishcakes, and japchae. The cucumbers were alright...the mayo-y dish was a no for me, but that's mostly because i'm just anti-mayo. The fried croaker only comes with the jjigae. Onto the entrees--i really liked my tofu jjigae--perfect amount of delicate tofu, great flavor (med spice was perfect for me), and a carefully cracked soft yolk egg. There was a TON of beef in my soup which was good. However, there was no kimchi at all...i'm wondering if they just forgot to put it in the bowl or had a mistake in the order. Regardless, i still enjoyed it. Bonus, the side of rice came in a hot metal pot and got a bit of crisp on the edges. For the combo meal, the portions were massive! We had a ton of leftover pork and didn't finish the giant bowl of noodles. The spicy pork bulgogi was good, but didn't have that nice char at the bottom--also wasn't quite spicy either. Korean cold noodles aren't quite my thing, but flavor was solid. The entree combos are definitely quite worth with the amount of food that they give you. Service was friendly. Will definitely be back another day!"
"Nothing hip or fancy here, folks, just reasonably priced, authentic Korean dishes, made-to-order and fast. Think basic soups, noodles, rice dishes, and banchan (sides / pickles). Other neighboring stalls have come & gone over time, but Yoree seems to have enough fans to stick around. We've been eating here for years when we have a craving for dolsot bibimbap (#27, spelled Dol Sot Bi Bim Bab on the posted menu, currently listed at $12 up from $9 during the pandemic, still a bargain) and don't want to get dressed up or wait too long to eat. If you haven't yet had the pleasure, the "dolsot" part of the name means this flavorful rice meal is served in a scorching hot rock or ceramic pot that will continue to caramelize the bottom layer of rice as you devour the assortment of veggies, fungi, pickles, proteins, and sauce from the top. If you get the included runny egg garnish (and you should), be sure to work some of that yolk down to the bottom rice for an extra treat in the crisped rice, aka socarrat (Spanish) or nurungji (Korean), that you'll scrape up at the end of the meal.Bonus is that we can do some quick shopping for groceries and household goods at Hana World Market next door, then pickup a great tea and dessert at the stand in the front entrance on the way out the door. - Phone-in orders and take-out available.- Cash only at the order counter, but you can pay with credit card inside the grocery store.- Open 11a-8:30p daily.- Masks required for entry to the food court and store."
"miso is my favorite restaurant when i'm craving korean food in austin. not only do they offer delicious korean food but their sushi rolls are also such good quality as well. it is pretty pricey here ($20-30 for the meal) but they offer really good lunch prices. my go tos are their dolsot bibimbap with spicy pork, spicy pork bulgogi bento, and spicy yellowtail roll."
"Korean barbecue is my favorite type of food, so if you love it as much as I do, you have to visit K BBQ! I've tried several KBBQ places in the Austin area, but none of them have topped this one in my opinion. Not only is the food so fresh, but they also have a cool robot that delivers your food right to the table. It's a fun touch that adds to the experience.I always do the all-you-can-eat option and order multiple rounds of brisket and bulgogi. The sesame and gochujang sauce that come on the side are so flavorful and add to the taste of the meat. The cheese corn is my favorite side and is always perfectly creamy. The atmosphere and service are fantastic, and the big family-sized tables make it a great spot to take friends and family. Highly recommend K BBQ for anyone looking for a great korean barbecue restaurant in Austin!"
"Cheap, yummy Korean food. I came here on Tuesday for a quick dinner before an event that I was attending on UT's campus. There was no line to order and the food came out very quickly. I had the pork bulgogi plate, which came with panchan and rice. The food was yummy and very filling. I found it disappointing that it was packaged in a styrofoam box, instead of being packed in a reusable, or at least recyclable container. The restaurant is located in a food court, which was bustling with activity: my guess is mostly UT students. I'll be coming back next time I'm in the area."
"So happy this place is in North Austin and not far from me - it's easily one of the best Korean BBQ experiences I've had in a while! Everything we tried was incredible. The chicken wings were perfectly crunchy and so flavorful, I couldn't get enough. We also ordered the Kochu Fried Rice, dumplings, egg rolls (that citrus sauce was chef's kiss), K-Wings, Bulgogi Kimbap, Bulgogi bowl, and Buldak. Every dish was packed with amazing flavor and cooked to perfection. The owners were so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality really added to the experience. We'll absolutely be back--this place is a gem! If you're in the area, don't sleep on Kochu!"
"This place is amazing! It's open late as well, which is great because my friends and I go every after we play tennis. We've come here at least once a week for the past 3 months or so, and order the same thing every time, and are never disappointed. With the recent ownership change, this place is SIGNIFICANTLY better when compared to it 2018-2020 iteration.TLDR: service can be slow at busy times, but overall flavor and cost for the great atmosphere and friendly personnel is too good to pass up. Also open late! The owners here are also so kind and accomodating - the place gets very busy Friday and Saturday night though, so call ahead to reserve a table, as the restaurant is small on the inside. The side dishes are always top tier and homemade (they have to be, with how flavorful and fresh they are). Our favorite dishes are:Pa-dak (green onion fried chicken with vinegar (peppers too))Gopchang jangul (idk how to spell in English, but basically offal stew)Fried squidPork belly (boiled)Short rib veggie stewHONEY MAKKEOLI - one of the best drinks I've had in Austin, homemade, sweet, tangy, and chilled!!If you have a large party looking for a great Korean meal late at night, this place is a no brainer."
"I really enjoyed this Korean grab and go restaurant! The owners were extremely welcoming and gave us some Rice Krispie ube and pumpkin spice treats to go with our meals.. there are hot and cold stations where you choose- I got a traditional bibimbap from the hot section where they posted a nice note saying remember to get the cold veggies from the cold container. I assembled all my dishes in the restaurant and ate it while chatting with the owners. There were tables inside and out to sit and eat or take yours home. They were still in their soft opening stage- can't wait to come back and see what else has been added! Great experience and nice couple running it!"
"I thought I had given this place a review, but it appears this is my first. I have enjoyed my dining experience each time I have eaten here. The service is always excellent and the dining room reminds me of Japanese Restaurants that I visited in Okinawa. It has a sushi bar, tables with chairs as well as tables to sit on the floor (traditional). I ordered Poke (Tuna) this time. The dish was large and loaded with Tuna, caviar, veggies and rice. A great deal for the cost."
"BEST WINGS IN AUSTIN! We were craving some wings for football Sunday and decided to try a new place out. We ordered take out but will definitely be dining in next time. Hi Wings has ample parking, and the inside is spacious, clean, and has loads of great TVs if you're a sports fan! Service was fast, the host was very helpful and friendly. Now the best part - the wings! These were seriously so incredible. We had naked and the breaded version of the wings. The honey ginger was to die for, and we loved the garlic parm as well. We ordered pretty much every flavor (all of which were delectable) but these two were out highlights. The standard buffalo was also delicious. Everything tasted original and homemade. Can't wait to come back!"
"Very tasty with many options for all of your Asian food desires. The egg drop soup is especially good and I also like that they have quite a few options of sushi. The sushi is mediocre as you can expect but it is all you can eat.The service is fast and efficient and the ambiance is high ceilings with a attractive decor. The food is hot and fresh!"
"I recently visited this all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch, and Jenifer, our server, made the whole dining experience exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, helping us select the best cuts of meat and side dishes.Jenifer made sure our grill was always clean and that we had everything we needed. Her attentiveness and upbeat attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. This place is a must-try for anyone craving authentic Korean BBQ with fantastic service. I'll definitely be back"
"My friend took me to this small, family-owned Korean restaurant over the weekend, and I'm so glad that she did! Some might call this place a "hole-in-wall" location but I truly enjoyed every dish that we got, especially the complimentary banchan dishes. We asked for refills on some of the banchan dishes and the staff was very friendly/generous and did not hesitate one bit to give us the additional requested refills. I really liked the texture of the rice noodles in the Jabchae dish and the LA Galbi Short Ribs were grilled to perfection with such tender pieces! I did wish that the onions were grilled as well, but I'll be back again and might request it next time! If you want some homemade, authentic Korean food that's priced right and with generous portions, you'll enjoy your experience at this restaurant! :)"
"Great food, great service! We loved the sushi And the price was also on point. I recommend this place"
"Very modern and fun interiors, complete with TVs playing kpop music videos. Pretty quality food for decent pricing. Good service as it was not very busy on a weekend. All their food is great and even better for sharing amongst friends or other people.Tteokbokki - good texture and chewiness with spicy sauce. Also good portion for about 3 people to share, even if it looks pretty small. Seafood pancake - lots of seafood in each pre-cut slice. Great quality octopus, although I'm not sure what other seafood they had. Fried chicken - not a lot variety of fried chicken flavors, as they only had soy sauce and garlic or something like that. It was super hot temperature wise and they did provide gloves but it stayed hot the whole time. I have had better and do perfect specific fried chicken places, but it was not bad."
"Affordable and yummy Korean food right by campus. The bibimba was flavorful and fresh. Not a whole lot of toppings though the meat was yummy. I also got one of the k-bop rolls which i thought was great. It'd be an easy four stars except that the dishwasher is by the dining area and splashed water over the partition and it hit several diners (and got on my food) but neither the dishwasher nor the server said anything. That was major ick. Don't sit next to the dish washing area. Popular amongst students for a reason."
"This one is for the vegans... they have options and they are great. I called to ask about a few things and the owner was so helpful. I ended up with the garlic edamame, avocado vege spring roll, and the brown veggie roll. I got the brown veggie roll with soy paper as I hate seaweed; loved it! The veggie udon noodle soup was also vegan and I'm excited to try that next time. Love to support a local family business!"
"Welcome to the neighborhood, Bulgogi Korean BBQ Bowl! Easy online ordering through Toasttab, a simple menu with plenty of healthy options, and something for everyone - I'm a fan!So far, we have only ordered to-go, but it went off without a hitch. My family enjoyed their Pork and Chicken Bowls, while my Beef Bowl was excellent for the price. The fried appetizers we tried (Spring Rolls and Chicken Dumplings) were great, too, especially at a reasonable price. We have always loved Donkey Mo's, so it's no surprise that their new concept would be good, too. It's a fast casual joint in a suburban shopping center, so nothing fancy here. It's brightly lit with clean decor and just a few tables for dining in. You look at the menu on the flatscreen (or your phone), then step up to the counter to order. You can get basic bowls with your choice of beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, tofu, or poke tuna over rice or salad. If you like, add an egg, kimchi, or a fried side. Simple! Then, if you want dessert afterward, you have several excellent options nearby including Andy's, Snowy Village, Teapioca, Mochinut, and Em Gourmet."
"*drooling as I'm reminiscing about this meal experience*So I am a forever groupie when it comes to anything chicken and waffles. Like a ride or die stan when it comes to this signature meal. Tell me how it took me 32 years of existence to have K-fried chicken bites and an ube waffle together to discover this food-gasmic pairing. WEH? is a must have at the Red Bus Food Park. They also have some other signature dishes worth trying, but my 5-star moment was their chicken and waffle moment."
"Parking: not bad on a friday at 615 pmReservation: able to get a table for 2 an hour beforeFood: 3/5 the sashimi platter had half the fish torched to cook and they didn't count total pieces before sending out; rolls were great; nigiris fell apart but fish was greatAmbiance: immersive japanese experiencePrice: below average for the value; we paid $160 for 2 rolls, 16 nigiris, 2 handrolls, 300 ml sake, 10 pc sashimi (we only got 9)Service: amazing! We will try other sushi spots before coming back."
"If you're looking for authentic Korean food, this is your place. Came here on a Thanksgiving eve afternoon so it's wasn't too busy. First time trying out the place and MAN, this is going on my list of repeat visits. Was really in the mood for bulgogi, so I ordered the Seoul bulgogi that comes with 4 sides, and my wife ordered the Dolsot Bulgogi bibimbobI didn't choose the sides but was pleasantly surprised at what I got. Loved the kimchi and cucumbers. One of those moments when I didn't realize how much I wanted kimchi until I got it. Each side was just enough to go with everything else. SOOOO much flavor. I felt like I was back in Korea again. Service was good, no complaints. Food came out fast, nice and hot. There was enough for my wife and I to share. Her bibimbop was really good, too. When I first saw it, kinda wished I ordered it, but I was very pleased with my order too. Both of our food and 2 drinks came out to about $50. For Austin, with food this good, that's a dealAll in all, I can't wait to try this place again and would definitely recommend"
"Visited for lunch in person! I still love Bree the Knowledgeable and Welcoming Server! It was pretty empty at lunchtime so food was fast and hot! [Lots of food pick ups though.]"
"So far I've only tried the kimchi stew, like I was really craving for some that night and I am thankful this spot opened up in Round Rock. The place is clean and looks pristine. I need to yet try more food so I'll definitely be back"
