"Always delicious. Nice family-run Italian place. It's not "high end" but the ambience is nice, service is good, folks are friendly. They have a pretty expansive menu of traditional Italian dishes and good classic desserts - Tiramisu, Italian Creme Cake, etc. Overall solid choice if you're feeling traditional Italian at a reasonable price. If you were born and raised in Italy you might find something to complain about, but we have never had anything but great food here. Note the 5* rating reflects the cost and everything else. You can certainly get better Italian in Austin for twice the price."
"I didn't have high expectations of this place. First, it's near dirty 6th. Second, it's downtown. Most of the better restaurants in downtown have a primary focus on beef. The really great restaurants in Austin are outside of the downtown area. From the outside, it looks unassuming and, well, a place you may not walk into. Parking is challenging. If your lucky, you may find street parking close by. Once we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the vintage charm and cozy atmosphere. There were three large groups (about 25 people) taking up half the dining room. The other half sat at the bar. There was a large group celebrating a birthday. The place filled with laughter, chatter, soft music in the background and smell of pizza baking in the stone oven.We arrived during happy hour so we ordered every appetizer. We loved all the appetizers. They have only beer and wine. We shared the Bianca and Fennel. The crust was crispy but not hard. The pizza was simple and not greasy. Service, food and atmosphere were excellent. I would have given them 5 stars if the manager didn't tel us that we had to leave because they had a 7:45 reservation for the table we were at. Our server did not bring the bill. A better way would have been to ask if there was anything else we wanted and bring the bill. Take the payment, thank us and wish us a good night. We would have taken the lead and left.Make sure you reserve a table ahead of time. Space is limited. Overall, we had a lovely evening and did not regret eating here."

"I can't believe it took me so many years to finally dine-in at Juniper. I had ordered take-out here during Covid and fallen in love with their cacio e pepe. I was excited to return for my birthday. I loved everything about this place - what a hidden gem in Austin. This place has elegant and minimalist decor, with a large open kitchen which is delightful to watch, and excellent service with attentive staff through and through. Our food was incredible - every dish we tried from the appetizers to the entrees to dessert. The only one aspect they could improve upon was their cocktail menu but I'm guessing their bigger focus is on their wine selection. And oh, I was a bit surprised at the dog seated inside (hygiene and all). That pea risotto was out of this world and the puffy potato fritters as well as the eggplant appetizer were mouth-watering delicious. The cacio e pepe was also as good as I remembered it to be. Once again, I renew my request to add a fresh vegetable side (the asparagus was not vegetarian) to complement the carb loading. But, hey, I'm not complaining when the carbs are this gratifying."
"Omg randomly was walking down congress and saw this spot and spotted a couple outside and they were like this spot is really good so we walked in and the atmosphere was so dope first of the lighting in here was perfect nice and dim and slightly intimate the music selection and atmosphere was spot on the right vibes and our server Ricky was so amazing from the start to the end his service was so top notch literally from the time we sat down was overall an amazing dinner experience"
"Cozy atmosphere and such nice wait staff! Quick service early on a Saturday night (~5:45pm) Cacio e Pepe was a cheesy dream! Tableside with the cheese bowl was really cool! Numero 28 pizza recommended by our waitress did not disappoint! Recommend adding arugula to it for some extra pizazz! Will be back when we are in town again!"
"My GD wanted Fettuccine and we were headed to Georgetown so I jumped on Yelp and found Tony and Luigis close to where we were headed for the day and off we went...I had seen on multiple reviews about making reservations, so I called and our table was waiting when we arrived....also...no need to make reservations. For as long as this place has been there is was clean an up kept...Promptly seated by a very friendly waitress. The food was everything we expected...the complementary bread was hot and fresh And with real butter. We started with Calamari ( The GD new found love)...very fresh and cooked perfectly...along with the classic Mozzarella Stick that had amazing pull...The GD did "Build you own" with Fettuccine, Alfredo, Chicken and Goat Cheese...Wife went with the 4 Cheese Penne and myself I went with the Chicken Carbonara...All 3 were absolutely delicious...creamy and flavorful....The plates were loaded and the leftovers the next day were great. The most exciting thing about the visit, is they are planning on opening one in Taylor Texas which is Much close to Manor where we live."
"Consistently awesome food and service at this cozy little locally owned Italian place. Meatballs, Caesar salad, and beet salad were all amazing."
"We went out for a dinner with a couple of friends at Olive & JUNE and the overall experience was amazing! They have the best outdoors for evening/night time, in my opinion! It looks magical like you're at a wedding party or holiday gathering. I just love the vibes and their food was exquisite. AMBIENCE/LOCATION: This restaurant is hidden on 35th St. Their indoor space is quite small but they have an outdoors that is wonderfully decorated with lighting and it's covered so you're protected from rain or cold wind. We went there when it was cold and we were seated outdoors where they have decorative lights like the holidays and the space was closed off with fancy clear plastic tents protecting you from the wind/cold air with commercial outdoor heaters. I was setting close to the heater and I was so comfortable all night. The lights are dim and romantic if you're on a date it's magical, or like a holiday gathering if you're with friends or family (Note: it's not a suitable place to bring younger children in my opinion). FOOD: We ordered drinks and appetizers to start off and let me tell you their cocktails were SO good (I had to order a second glass ). Their flavor profiles were quite creative and the overall food was exceptional. SERVICE: Our server was friendly and attentive and even though it was packed that day, we didn't have to wait long for our food. PRICE: the price is expensive but you pay for the overall experience/ambiance/service, and the quality of food which is reasonable in my opinion. VERDICT: All in all, I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a romantic date night spot, or a special occasion with loved one(s), or a gathering with friends!"
"Oh. My. Gosh. One of the BEST pizzas I have EVER had. The little spice/olive oil bar was incredible and gave us the best "sauce" for our crust. Go NOW!"
"This place makes me happy. Gluten free options abound. Will be back! Cocktails are tasty too"
"Neat looking restaurant with plenty of charm.Service was quick and friendly.Pizza was good. Could have been crispier, but I enjoyed both slices!"
"Laid back Sicilian restaurant. Cappuccino was excellent. Had a nice chat with owner and shared some Sicilian tips and history. Limoncello dessert was on point. Citrusy and sweet but not overbearing."

For those of us who love a wood-fired pizza being made in the background as the crackle of the wood is burning to create one of the most delicious pizzas in town, then The Backspace is in your future. With an open kitchen and the best seats in the restaurant being right at the bar, get ready for some amazing food and service. A few faves of mine are the fennel sausage, margherita, and a classic pepperoni.Start the table off with an order of their meatballs and some ciabatta that is easy to share amongst your friends and family. The sauce is perfect as a dipping sauce for the ciabatta bread. With a super concise menu you don't have to get lost in making a foodie decision and can instead focus on the warm environment.

Food was 10/10!! Service was very good too. I love taking my time with dinner and trying all the courses and that is what we did! Arrived at 7:15, left 3 hours later. All of the pastas were amazing!! Focaccia was warm and fresh, the prosciutto and pear was really good. The wagyu was sooooooo good!! Cooked perfectly. I asked for medium and it came more medium rare but it was so good so I didn't mind. We wanted cake for desert and they didn't have any on the menu so the server gave us an off menu option. They do have valet parking but I found a street free spot around the corner super close. My only sort of complaint is we say in the patio and it was 30 degrees outside. It was enclosed and they had heaters but it was still a bit cold. I would still go again!

Vespaio deserves way more love! This hidden gem is the perfect date night destination that won't drain your wallet. Nestled right on South Congress, it's a prime spot just minutes from downtown. The menu is a testament to authentic Italian excellence without the sky-high price tag. I indulged in the cacio e pepe and supplì--both absolutely divine and bursting with flavor. Whether you're planning a romantic evening or simply craving exceptional Italian cuisine, Vespaio offers charm, quality, and unbeatable value.

One of our favorite places in Georgetown! The food and service are always great. The bread is my absolute favorite! The restaurant is nice enough for date night, but casual enough for a weekday lunch!

It's a cozy retro interior. There's outdoor seating available too. Food was fresh and flavorful. Perfect portions and you can tell it's house made. Pistachio semifreddo was interesting - it's like a solid ice cream. Server was friendly. I would come back!

"I ordered eggplant parmigiana. The size of the serving was not overly large but nicely sized if one is watching their calories. The food was very good and worth going back. Two things that took a star off. The tables are very close together. To leave we had the excuse ourselves from the adjoining party as the backs of our chairs were very close. Although good, the eggplant parmigiana was NOT worth 28.00 for what was received. The dish was a bit overpriced."
"I cannot get over how amazing the pizza was here as well as the service. If I could give 100 stars, I would. I found this spot as I was the itinerary food planner for our Austin Texas trip. My boss thanked me for this one, it definitely exceeded our expectations. We made reservations to be safe but on a Tuesday evening around 7pm, it was hardly busy. There were plenty of tables open that evening and they also had larger tables to accommodate groups of around 8 or 10 (I would call in to be certain). We ordered the Margherita pizza, super simple pizza but the toppings and the dough especially made this so delicious. The dough had to be my favorite part. Was fresh and not too crunchy, soft in the right spots. We both ate the entire thing, it wasn't too heavy but a perfect size for two ladies. If I am ever in Austin again, I will make it a point to come back here again. Thank you for the great service and excellent dinner!"
""Ordered the Italian salad with a side of shrimp because, you know, carbs are my mortal enemy right now. Let me tell you, the salad was a surprise hit--like the indie film you weren't expecting to love. The house vinaigrette had this mild sweet tang that made my taste buds do a happy dance. The onions, cheese, and what I'm 95% sure was hominy (who knew?) were like a perfectly balanced squad of flavor. A true underdog story. The shrimp? Well, it was shrimp. Sizzled in butter, obviously delicious, because when has butter ever let anyone down? And the portion was surprisingly generous, so my wallet didn't cry either.Would I come back? Oh, absolutely. While I was being virtuous with my carb-conscious choices, my family was out here devouring pizza, baked ziti, and desserts from their Italian bakery like they were living in a Food Network special. If this salad was that good, I can only imagine the level of culinary witchcraft happening in the carb-loaded section of the menu. 10/10 would risk my diet for their bakery next time.""
"Good pizza nice priceNothing fancy but really good pizza Nice service and few table out side enjoy with good weather the ranch sauce is great and the pizza is so good simple and delicious"
"Drove up to visit my daughter and her family and had lunch here. Wonderful establishment. Nice atmosphere, good service, and delicious food. I had the chicken Marsala lunch special that came with a side of pasta and Caesar salad. They also have a nice dessert bar and gelato bar. We had gelato afterwards, and I got the mint chocolate. All very delicious. I highly recommend."
"Appetizer was good. Had the zucchini chips and the dip was awesome. Also had the calamari shrimp and zucchini fries which was alright. Main course was the squid ink pasta with shrimp scampi, which was alright. Other two people had salmon and fried chicken with arugula. No word from them whether it was alright or not since we were so engrossed in convo. But overall, it was alright - a mix between not bad and alright."
"Dean's Italian Steakhouse is the ultimate date night destination--perfect for a splurge or a special celebration. Yes, the prices are on the higher side, but every bite makes it worth it. The service was impeccable, with our server checking in just the right amount to make us feel taken care of. And the food? Absolutely unforgettable. I'm still dreaming about that incredible shrimp pasta, and don't even get me started on the bread pudding--it was pure decadence. Oh, and those dinner rolls? Impossible to resist. If you're looking for a meal that lingers in your memory, this is the place."
"They make my favorite version of Frutti. De Mare! With a white wine sauce clam sauce instead of the tomato/marinara sauce! Flavor was on point, roll good as always! I ordered take out so I cant really comment on the staff, but the restaurant looked and snelled clean upon pickup!"
"First time trying Saccone's, last minute order to be delivered. It was good. Greek salad, wings (hot) and pizza (order my own combo), and all was delivered in about 30 minutes. Piping hot! I was shocked by how hot the wings and pizza were. The negative on the salad... the dressing was already on it. I did not see a "dressing on the side" option when ordering. If I'm the restaurant, I would always put the dressing on the side for a to go or delivery order... just me! The wings were good, just wings, no batter... fried crispy and the sauce was good and hot (spiciness). The pizza was also good, nice thin crust. A tad soggy in the middle, but that could be because it sat in a box on the counter for 30 minutes while I ate the wings and salad. All in all, a good meal, delivered quickly! We'll definitely try it again. Recommend Saconne's for pizza, salad and wings."
"My husband & I decided to try on a Friday night, 10/27/24, after reading great reviews. We were seated right away. I ordered the highly recommended meat lasagna, which was WONDERFUL! My husband ordered the La Cocina Red Enchiladas (ground beef in a red mole sauce). He did not care for the sauce or the cheese (he didn't like the taste of cheese & there was too much cheese). We look forward to going back so my husband can try the lasagna!"
"I'm feeling rather nostalgic today with such great weather outside, I am thinking patio's perhaps. A nice Pinot Grigio with my cutie pie Suzie. The patio thoughts reminded me of our neighborhood pizza place. Mangieri's has a generous patio area as well as a cozy, warm restaurant inside. We have been enjoying Piper's and Tony's cuisine since they first opened their doors, what 15yrs or more ago? They are our neighborhood stable and have employed probably more of our neighbor's children than anyone else! What works here with Mangieri's, is they get it.... Have a reasonable menu, with good fresh, in house made ingredients whenever possible and booze. Luckily we are close enough for delivery. They have been on our weekly rotation for many, many years. I personally love their pasta dishes. Spousey loves their pizza's. Their Buffalo Wings are incredibly simple and yummy. Spousey usually gets the artichoke dip. I enjoy their strombolis as well as my favorite pie, Hot Pig. Austin Scope Ice Cream and a solid Tiramisu is also available. They also provide something that seems to be lost to a lot of restaurants, consistency and keeping things simple. We like going in as much as getting a regular delivery. The bar is simple and small. But full enough of whacka do's to converse with, if you choose. Us being part of that crowd. Well, to be real, we have some very colorful neighbors and many are quite verbose. We wouldn't want it any other way. They do have half price bottle wine night, I just cannot remember the days, but it's a weekly thing, so you may want to check their website.Ok, we heading out right now, maybe today is half price wine night..."
"This restaurant is boring. It's a chain. I only went because I was at a meeting. Someone else picked it because she likes the MALL, and she paid. We were in a weird back room with two tvs and a long table. The food was boring - mediocre "Italian American." The good news is that my gluten free friend could find enough to eat. The staff was fine. It was clean. If you must go, it's fine. It could be in any town in America. Meh."
"I ordered Dovetail for pickup and had a great experience! It was ready in about 15 minutes and they followed all of our modifications to a tee. Food: I love a classic pepperoni and theirs is great. I suggest getting it double cut, otherwise the pieces are quite large. The ricotta ranch is a must, it's clearly homemade and fresh each day.Ambience: I've only picked up, but the place is super cute! It looks like a great spot for date night."
"The food here is always amazing, and the service is really quite European (we prefer this)."
"This place is just awesome! You can tell the attention to detail in the recipes. There's a good reason it has gotten awards for best in Bastrop several times! If you are in town when they are open, it's definitely the right choice!!"
"I haven't been to this place since about 2019, but man the quality has deteriorated. First, my friend and I both walk in the door (two women) and then two teenage boys walk in behind us. Once the host finally got over to us (because he was in the back by the call out counter), I walked up to let him know we were just two. Instead of going ahead and seating us, he asked me if the two boys were before us in a manner that suggested he wasn't going to give me the time of day. Thank you to our hostess (I didn't catch her name, but she was a sweetheart) because the only other service interaction we had was not good. My friend and I ordered the knotty bits, two waters, and an Anthony's pizza. First of all, if you haven't been in Buda long enough you need to understand that tap water is terrible. Who knows what's in there, and no one wants to know. It's disgusting. The knotty bits were the only good part of the experience. They were delicious just as I remembered. If we ever go back it'll be for those and a beverage that's not water. The pizza... practically raw bell peppers and onions. The ranch tasted like Hidden Valley from a bottle. It was not a vibe. My favorite part was all the drunk people at the bar watching the game who I'm assuming left their piss unflushed in the restroom and pee droplets on the toilet seat. Cute decor though. Overall, would only come here if it's the last resort. Used to be good."
"In search of pizza by the slice during a quick visit to Austin. Quick service and fresh hot pizza. I was impressed to say the least. Definitely my new favorite place."
"If you are looking for a quick easy meal, this place is it! Their fig prosciutto pizza is AMAZING and one of my favorites, but I also love their other pies as well! 10/10 recommend."
"Great take out deal! XLarge pizza for $13.99. They have white sauce which is always a crowd pleaser. Their crust is soft and yummy and the pepperoni is the best around!"
"The staff was friendly and the food was excellent! I will be coming back for meatballs and zucchini fries."
"Spend your money elsewhere (perhaps MOD or BackDraft). When I first moved to the Lakeway area, I found Craig O's and it quickly became my go-to place for pizza (and some other menu items from time to time). It was good, pretty darn good. Not New York good, but hey...The hubby and I almost always ordered the same thing: The "House Special" 86 green bells, add black olives and EXTRA spinach. There were a few small mishaps during the last three years enjoying Craig O's, but they were always rectified to my satisfaction. Since writing my previous review in 2013, everything has gone downhill; from the service to the food quality. Something changed: management, staff, cooks??? Not sure. Every time we ordered, the pizza just seemed to get worse and worse. The crust gradually became more and more soggy; the toppings became more and more sparse - reeaaly skimpy.. For example, asked for and paid the extra $ to add spinach (as usual) and one time there were only 5 leaves of Popeye's fav on the entire pie -not kidding! Plus, Craig O's isn't exactly cheap. We're talking approx. 20 bucks for a large pizza (much better bargains and quality elsewhere). And, the way over-priced HALF "House Salad" at $5.99 was always a joke IMHO! Last time, it included browned lettuce. Eeks! So sad, too bad. Craig O's probably still offers the best pizza in the area if delivery is what you seek; however, I feel I must disclaim their only competition in the area are a few of those big "fast" pizza chains. Gag."
"I have two reviews in one. My friend and I visited in January and I tasted the pickle bread for the first time. I try fried pickles all the time but I do not like when they are too greasy. My buddy and I went in during the sub zero temps in Dripping Springs. We had a pig lovers pizza and I love the pizza here. I love the dough because it reminds me of the fresh dough pizzas of New England and I love all their ingredients plus the sauce seems all natural and not very vinegary as many sauces I have tasted. My friend had a burger and it was a delicious burger he stated. We went again as a family just yesterday and once again they did not disappoint. We had the meat locker and it was phenomenal, we had to taste the pickle bread once again. My Father in Law had the cheesy bread and the buffalo chicken sandwich and his wife had a burger. The burger patty was good and seasoned. My preference would have been just a bit more pink but that is my preference. The chicken was good and juicy not dried out how many can be when deep fried. My wife had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars and still did 5 was because the grilled chicken was good and fully cooked flavorful and seasoned. Now the dressing was way too much and super over dressed. I know some people like it that way so no deductions for that. If you are in the Dripping Springs area I highly recommend this place. It is a Lorelai, my daughter, and family favorite."
"I would give 6/5 stars if I could. The food, price, service, and location were absolutely amazing! When my fiance and I first walked in, we encountered a large menu with what seems like the most popular dishes. While we were taking some time to look at it, Mauro, the owner, came up to us and asked if it was our first time. When we said yes, he gave us the full menu and explained how the ordering/seating worked - you seat yourself and order at the register when ready. We ordered the maccheroni with creamy sausage and mushrooms, tagliatelle with house meat sauce, and tagliatelle with lemon cream. Each one was absolutely delicious - the flavors were simple but bold, and the pasta was perfectly al dente! My favorite was the maccheroni with creamy sausage and mushrooms. The mushrooms were sooo tasty, and the sausage and cheese made each bite more addicting than the last. The portions were also very good for the price. My fiance and I were only able to finish two out of the three plates, and we took the rest to go. We also got some breadsticks as a free appetizer while waiting for our pasta!I have to mention Mauro as well. He checked in on us a few times throughout our meal to make sure we were enjoying it, and he brightened our day by constantly cracking jokes and making conversation! His energy is infectious, and you can tell he is very passionate in what he does. From the moment we walked in to when we left, he made our experience here that much better! The interior was very clean, but also pretty small. I know other reviews knocked the vibe, but I enjoyed it - it felt simple and casual, a hole-in-the-wall shop where the main priority was the food. Definitely not a spot for a nice date, but it's great for a relaxed meal at a great price! The bathroom was extremely clean as well. And, since the restaurant is located in a large plaza, there's plenty of parking. If I lived closer, I would honestly become a regular to try each menu offering. I will definitely be coming back!"
