Jamie L. "I got the chili burger to go so I'm not able to comment about the atmosphere and dining experience. The burger was around eight dollars and for eight dollars. I just expected a little more. There wasn't a lot of chili, the meat patty was rather thin and quite unseasoned. And it just didn't feel like there was a lot of substance so the filling to bread ratio was off. Maybe the chili burger wasn't the one to get but it was definitely lacking."

Victoria W. "i love fuegos - it was my go-to spot in college station when i was in college. i always get the el presidente or southern comfort tacos. the el presidente is packed with chargrilled chicken, smoked bacon, fried avocado, pico de gallo, jack cheese, and chipotle ranch - seriously, it's life-changing. the southern comfort is hand-breaded fried chicken with chipotle cream corn, crispy potatoes, grilled onions, and fresh country pepper gravy - so flavorful. the portions are huge, so i always wish i could order and eat both! you order at the counter, and they bring the food out fast - super easy. it's been too long since i've had it, and i'm so happy they have one in san marcos - the perfect place to eat after shopping at the outlet malls!"

Jennifer P. "Since I moved here, I've been trying different burgers in the downtown area. A few days ago, I was absolutely starving so I walked over to Burger Bar on Congress. When I first arrived, I wasn't sure how I was supposed to order. It was late afternoon, between lunch and dinnertime, so no one else was there ordering. I walked up, looking confused and the gentleman cooking the burgers completely ignored me. A friendly hello or even a glance in my direction might have been nice, but I then realized I had to place my order on the touch screen on the counter. I placed my order for the double Wagyu cheeseburger and an order of fries. Of course, when I went to pay, the screen asked for a tip. As someone who wants good karma in life, I added a tip, but I ended up regretting it. This is a prime example of "tip culture" getting out of control. I am 100% ready and willing to tip for good, friendly service, but I literally placed the order MYSELF and couldn't even get a slight smile out of the workers. My order was ready pretty quickly and the man put the bag on the counter. Again, no smile, no "thank you," no nothing. As I walked away, I got pretty annoyed in my hangry state that I had just tipped for this. I walked home quickly, which took me less than 10 minutes, and the burger and fries were still perfectly hot when I took them out of the bag.I would describe the burger itself as a very similar vibe to Shake Shack, but you can tell the ingredients are better. The fries were a cross between McDonalds and In n Out, which I enjoyed. I personally am past my clubbing days and late nights out, but I can imagine that this meal would be even more delicious late at night after drinking. It definitely hit the spot for me and left me full enough without that terribly overstuffed feeling.I'm not gonna take away stars for the service. I learned my lesson the first time about tipping here. The burger and fries are a solid 4 in my book, and I won't downgrade the rating completely because of the lack of service. If you want to eat somewhere where people are kind and friendly, there's a place on every corner for that. I won't be coming here for that reason; I'll only be back when I'm super hungry for a decent burger."

Although one time they did forget these cheese on my cheeseburger. But every other time I've had them, it's been so darn good I forgave them. Hahaha. I love that I can just get a burger and not have to get a meal. I have not gone inside yet. I only ever order through the drive thru. One day I'll take a picture, maybe."

Obed F. "So this review is great! Reason being, Is i love to see business thrive and get better. I want to apologize on my end that I have not updated this in my experiences. The reason i updates to a 5 Star is from my current experience even though the service here has always been top notch. Today my wife struggled with the website order and somehow ordered no cheese on one side of our Pizza ‍. Believe or not John ( Great employee that assisted me) Opened up the pizza and kinda felt there was something wrong. He asked me if that was correct, and i said it suppose to be a cheese side for my kids. With no hesitation he turned around and fixed me up a cheese pizza at no cost!Much love and respect for John and Slice Street Pizza. We already order it weekly, but this goes a long way and we know that they care. From now we will keep calling in LOL. Thanks guys, keep crushing it!"

Brandon Y. "Located in a rig across the street from the Austin Convention Center in downtown, this is probably a very convenient location to walk to for tourists and out-of-towners. The wait for your food is typically about 10 minutes from when you put in an order.I had walked past this place so many times on my way to other spots in downtown and figured I eventually had to try it. Wanting to give them the best shot, I decided to try their classic 1/4 lb burger. Overall, the burger wasn't bad and will definitely satisfy you if you are hungry and craving a burger. The fries, which were well-peppered, weren't bad either. Overall, it wasn't bad, and works in a pinch, but is a bit overpriced at $10 for a burger and fries."

Christina B. "Loved everything about our visit to Las Quesadillas ATX. We left Texas Land & Cattle because they suck (see my review) and came here for my 30th birthday. Nothing fancy but from the guy who took my order to the food and salsa, everything was delicious and very affordable. We each got an asada quesadilla with cilantro and onions and two asada tacos with pico de gallo and cilantro. They were piping hot and the tortillas had to have been made fresh because they were fluffy, warm and so soft! The best part was the asada beef which was cooked perfectly, tender, perfectly seasoned and without a hint of fat. They don't have their liquor license yet but the cashier sad that they were working on it. They offered bottled and canned soda. Give them a try! 18$ for two quesadillas, two medium tacos and two drinks and it was delicious!"

Veggie burger in hand off I went. The burger was very good. The bun was lacking in much texture (probably part of the appeal) and it's certainly not health food. However I enjoyed the caloric indulgence, the flavors were great. The sitting Area outside looked nice and inviting though it is right along the street. A good experience overall."

Steve W. "This place is located on southbound feeder of I 35 and the parking lot is in the rear. On entering, you'll be faced with their menus on the wall and three kiosks from which to order. These kiosks do take a little while to figure out and they don't print out a receipt. They only take credit cards at the kiosks. It's also problematic if you're trying to put three or four people on your tab. A Double smash burger with cheese, bacon, regular fries and a shake can easily run you over $20 without the tip or tax (yes there's a tip screen for placing your own order). The burgers are pretty reasonable for what you pay for, however, I would definitely skip their chicken nuggets as they are a terrible skimpy value. The crinkle fries are better than I was expecting, but skip the cheese on them. Lots of seating inside and outside , plenty of parking and very clean modern bathrooms. Burgers ****, shakes ****, chicken nuggets *, ordering**, facilities****. Value ***1/2"

Shirley B. "This review is for the Hwy 183 and Spicewood location, right on the frontage road. Short Stop always seems to get a bad rap, but for this location, the food is typically consistent, as is the service. Food: Burgers, fish sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and fish platters with hush puppies (Friday's only). The fish was hot, cooked well, with a crispy shell/batter (yes, I'm aware it's previously frozen.) Tartar sauce had the right tang, and bun was soft. I'll remember to get it with no tomato next time as it did make things a bit soggy. Burger had a nice char and was a good size. Fries were good, shoestring kind. Won't be getting the lemonade again as it was the powered kind, and that's not for my tastebuds. Cost: Two meals and an add on hot dog ran us $19. Service: Pull up and order, wait was minimal, order taker was friendly, and food was out in no time. Pay and collect at the drive through window. Overall: You know what you're getting when you roll up to a Short Stop, and for what it is, food is reasonably priced, and decent. Takes cards."

Shannon G. "I saw someone posting about this place a couple weeks ago. Didn't look up where it was located. One day I find myself down on 183 and driving by. I said to myself, next time I'm down in this area, I gotta stop in. Today I happened to be down here again, and stopped in. It's a small center right next to iFLY. There used to be an Amy's ice cream, it's now the Soup Peddler, which is on my list too. And there is a barber shop too and Shaman modifications. Parking is fanatic. Lots of spaces. And you could park on the street which is free parking. There is a wheelchair ramp, if you need. You walk in, it's a small quaint area. Ordering is on the right, and the dining area, on the left. Menus hang from a short wall. You place your order with the cashier. If you're new, like me, he can recommend something for you. Which he kindly did for me. I'm pretty easy going. Not a lot of foods I'm dead against. I ordered the beef sandwich which comes on a soft baguette. It's a 10 inch sandwich, and I bought a bottled soda. They only have 2 small tables with 2 chairs at each table. But they have a cute small area with 2 couches and a chair. I made myself right at home on the couch, pulled the round "coffee" table like towards me. Took my shoes off, crossed my legs on the couch and like I said, made myself at home. I was totally chill. The young man that took my order, also brought my order out to me. Said enjoy. My sandwich was cut in half, and wrapped separately. The baguette is soft and warmed. Lot of meat on it. A lot of cilantro too. I love it. Has a great taste sweet and maybe a little spice. Spice like flavor, not heat. Really enjoyed the sandwich. A few minutes later the young gentleman came by and offered me a mango tea. Which I thought was really nice. He said they are promoting their new teas. The mango tea comes in a 16oz. (maybe) sized plastic cup with a Texas logo on it. Also comes with a fat straw too! The tea is sweet, and refreshing. Oh ya, the music playing was jamming. I really was chilling out. Felt like I was at a close friends house. Good vibe. Will totally come back here when I'm in the area again. Good luck guys! Hope your soft opening is a huge success. (High five) emoji here"

It was breaded and fried to order, and delivered to our table hot and juicy. Our bill was under $22 for three dark meat combos (2@2 piece and 1@3 piece) with one side and drink each. Kids shared the chicken strip platter and said "they are really good!" I wish we ordered a dozen of the busquits, so yummy. Now, for the funnel cake fries, it's the taste of a funnel cake without the mess! The only thing is the order is small, one order per person. I assume you have to ask for napkins, spoons, and forks because we didn't receive any which made the drive a little difficult."

Sabrina B. "I wanted to try this place after seeing the Houston ones pop up. Long story short, this spot is for the hungover college kids or anyone with the munchies willing to go here.Outside advertises some NFT art while the inside has a big cartoon mural and blasts music so loud that maybe it's for the best that they recommend the self serve kiosk to input your order. People were nice enough.I tried the chili cheese dog (one spicy and one not), elote fries, regular fries, and Philly cheesesteak burger (monthly special). The spicy frank is extremely unspicy, pretty much the same as a regular frank. The entire chili cheese dog was.... Okay. There's a bit of a meaty aftertaste with an odd factory-ness similar to a Sonic hotdog. It's a good size and filling but not my favorite. The Philly cheesesteak burger was honestly better even though I'd rather have those mall Philly cheesesteaks. There's just some odd aftertaste to all of their meat or cheese or something that isn't strong enough to hate the food, but prevalent enough to not want to frequent the restaurant. The fries are the best part. It has that textured and crispy coat that I love. But getting the elote fries.... The taste isn't bad but they definitely let their corn sit because it's a bit touch and old. Even if you don't taste it yet, it's visually obvious with the size, firmness, and brownish color. They might air dry the corn to remove the moisture so the fries don't get soggy, but it seems overly aged and a bit hard to enjoy the elote when it doesn't compare to the fries. Most everything is $8-10. Great price but also not the best quality. Am I happier with a Costco hotdog and pay much less? Yeah, but at least the food looks fun and the hours span well into after-bar times."

This isn't in the best location by any means, but don't let that deter you. Stop by and enjoy some classic Long John's. They're hard to find nowadays, and when you do they tend to be hit or miss.
