"Excellent pollo asado, very reasonably priced. Best in the area by far! The baked potatoes are A+ also."
"Tumble 22 just killed the fried chicken game. I was with my siblings and we all shared the dirty fries which were UNBELIEVABLE! The best cheesy fries I've had in so long. We all got different kinds of chicken. I love the Korean style option. The chicken was moist and the sauces were a perfect pair. Our server was very helpful and knew exactly how to guide us since it was our first time. I loved the vibe and the friendliness of the staff even with being there the last hour before they closed. We didn't feel rushed and had such an amazing time!Highly recommend."

"Spicy boys is a staple of east austin and is a must visit if you're a fan of fried chicken and spice. They are consistently an excellent selection if you're in need of a late night bite while out on east. Located next to zilker brewing, it is a perfect combo of great beers and good chicken meals. Don't underestimate the spice levels of the tots and sandwiches. Plenty of outdoor seating for both the brewery and the food truck but can also take the food inside the brewery. Can order online for a text order pick up or order at the window for a 10 minute pick up. Always speedy and excellent service."
"Stopped by this food truck park and decided to grab some Colombian food and I'm sure glad I did! The chicken was super flavorful (ask them what they use as a marinade, it's pretty crazy!) and I got to try Malta, a refreshing drink popular in Colombia. I sampled a few other items on the appetizers menu and wasn't disappointed. This truck is a great addition to the 4 Points area and I highly recommend it!"
"My go-to for roasted chicken. Do not--I repeat-- do not skip the chicken. Typically my family and I order one of the family meals which comes with a whole chicken and your side of choices and corn or flour tortillas. The chicken is roasted perfectly making the skin charred and crispy while the meat remains soft and juicy. My favorite side are the black beans, plantains and yucca frita. Also check out the lomo saltado which has sautéed beef, vegetables, fries, and rice.I've been here quite a few times now and they always seem to get our tortilla order incorrect. We order corn but they always bring flour tortillas! Nevertheless, the family meals provide you with so much food already that I personally don't need the extra side of carbs so it's not a deal breaker."
"If you find yourself at the St. Elmo brewery, I would recommend this food truck on site. It is their fourth location in Austin. They have an Asian take on chicken and their spicy tots are addictive. You can get your chicken at different heat levels. Keep in mind, this is a cashless venue so you'll need a credit/debit card. I noticed their tip screen changes depending on how much you're spending. They'll ask for your phone number so they can text you when it's ready. Everything is loaded into a big pink bag complete with napkins, ketchup, and towelettes. Great spicy chicken that goes very well with cold beer."
"Ordered via Favor. Highly recommended on Favor so decided to try. Got the 2 tenders, Tennessee bbq with extra seasoning on fries. Super fresh. Very moist and cooked to perfection. Could not judge on ambiance but the quality of service in regards to the food is awesome."
"Dare I say it- the Austin location was better than when I tried it in Nashville. We visited on a Saturday evening and though it was busy, there were still plenty of tables inside and out. We didn't have to wait in line at all and we ordered at the counter. We weren't super hungry so we ordered the three tenders with a side of mac & cheese and crinkle fries. I am always game for mac, but I really enjoyed the seasoned fries dipped in their ranch. The chicken was also really good and I appreciated that they had different spice levels you could order. The meal was plenty for two of us to split for a light dinner and was around $13."
"I make a phenomenal brined, roasted chicken so haven't had their roasted chook yet, but I was under the weather and too ill to make my own broth. Making bone broth is ridiculously easy. While I do think this one tastes pretty delicious, I think nine dollars for an 8 ounce little cup of soup is much too expensive. It should be closer to five dollars. That's over $1 and ounce. I realize everything has gotten more expensive, but that is insane. Not to self to keep homemade in the freezer. I can make a 1/2 gallon or more for the same price. They should rename the broth liquid gold since it's so spendy."
"The food here was delicious. Chicken was perfectly cooked. The vibe was just off . The server was very quick and dry with her customer service and help.. the place needed some renovating but if you're looking for a good quick bite to eat! This is the place to try!"

I am blown away by how damn good this place is. It's better than Pollo Regio that's down the street on Berkman. They're one of my favourite pollos asados al carbon in Austin (charcoal grilled chicken). We ordered the whole chicken meal to share with two people. They had a special going where the whole chicken meal was $10. The meal came with 6 white corn tortillas, two containers of a Jalapeño salsa (tastes like Doña from Taco Deli), charro beans, and rice. A whole chicken meal was enough food for the two of us with plenty of leftovers for the next day.The chicken was succulent, juicy, and flavourful. It was well seasoned and no part of it was dry. Make sure to squeeze the lime on it! The rice had good flavour and was moist. The real standout though were the charro beans. These are ABSOLUTELY NOT vegetarian. They're made with bacon and pieces of what looked like chicharron. There's a pleasant spicyness that comes the jalapeños that are stewed with the beans. I would go back for the charro beans alone. The restaurant is inside a convenience store and the staff are courteous. Our meal came out within about a minute of us ordering and paying.

Tumble 22 is a local favourite from what I gather. It's also exclusively a small TX chain restaurant. This location is one of the four near the Austin area. Chicken is their specialty, specifically Breaded Hot Chicken. This location is joined at the hip with Via 313 Pizza, which looked a bit confusing from the outside. I thought they were the same restaurant until I attentively took a second glance. Not the largest of venues, but it does have a good amount of seating. They have a full bar along with bar seating as well. Parking is not an issue, ton of parking available outside and around. #ChickenSando:~ LIL' O.G. - 4.5Generous portions. Everything is BIGGER in TX! This was the LIL' O.G. NOT the regular O.G. Still a good size Chicken Breast Sandwich. Perfectly Crispy with Coleslaw, Pickles and Mayo. Good stuff.~ w/ SEVE'S COLLARD GREENS - 4.5/5Tasty Collard Greens, not bitter or fired! Good size portion for a side.#Sugar:~ CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE - 3.5/5Not for me...This looked amazing. Unfortunately I thought it looked much better than it tasted. A ton of Cream...not much else. Rejoice Whipped Cream lovers, which is not I...

I cannot believe I have not been to spicy boys sooner! Their fried chicken is truly amazing with the right balance of sweet to savory blend. The order is from a food truck so everything is always packaged to go. I liked their 5 piece bone in chicken and when I go back that will be the dish I order. I liked the hot nugs over the classic. The folks we were with do not eat super spicy so I didn't get to try the tingly. We went on a gloomy day so it wasn't super packed and got our food in a timely manner.Roti and yellow curry was a hit. It's on the sweeter side so I didn't expect it at all. Pluckers needs to take notes from these guys.

Came here a few weekends ago and ordered the Picada (sampler platter) for 2. It was just one person working who was very friendly. Everything on the platter was absolutely delicious! The prices were fair for the portion size and even with 2 of us we still had leftovers. Our only regret was not getting more of the green sauce (I think some type of chimchurri). Will definitely be back!

We LOVE spicy boys in this house!!I'm so glad they're out here We got the nugs (tingly) and panang curry+two roti. The curry leans sweet so it's a nice balance to the spiciness of the chicken. All of their menu is great with a beer from St Elmo.I miiiiiiight be here every Monday from now on ;)

Great fried chicken! The fries were nice and crispy, the toast was buttery and soft, and the sauce was also flavorful and slightly sweet. I got the hot cheeto mac n cheese as a side and it was pretty decent! Although i wish i tried the waffles. Maybe next time!

Didn't realize Hattie B's had opened a spot in ATX but came across it while at ABGB and was looking for restaurants nearby on Yelp (duh!). I've had Hattie B's in Nashville, but it wasn't very memorable. I think this outpost is better. My boyf got the 3 chicken tenders and I got the two-piece dark -- both in HOT. The food came out fast and hot. We both probably could've gone one spice level up, but the HOT is good enough kick but not overly in your face. The meat was tender and good quality. Breading was crispy and spicy. For our sides, we got collard greens, mac and cheese, baked beans and colesaw. The collard greens were the best of the bunch - traditional and good. Mac and cheese was perfectly fine, as was the coleslaw. We prefer bbq beans over baked beans since baked beans are too sweet for our liking. We came on a Saturday at 3 p.m. and there wasn't a line -- not sure if there is ever a line here but they had a line setup at the door. There was a line when I went to the Nashville one. I thought the price point wasn't bad either in the scheme of things. For our meals it was $22.

"I understand that the Austin airport location may be different from the actual brick & mortar location. This was a pretty good option (but we might have been better off getting more food from Salt Lick). The ordering was quick and easy but there weren't a tons of items to choose from. The food was ready within a few minutes. The chicken sandwich was okay and the tots and dipping sauce were good. The value was not on point."
"So much flavor, It's like a party in my mouth! I drove by here every Monday and Wednesday and have been dying to try it out. Went to the climbing gym for a birthday party and finally had the opportunity to order. The guy working gave me mixed signals. Like he wasn't exactly friendly but he wasn't rude either. I had questions but I didn't feel comfortable asking as it seemed like he was a little annoyed I wanted to order. We were all at one of the tables outside, I assume those tables are part of the climbing gym but the way he talked to me I felt like we were intruding on their territory. He asked if others from the party would be ordering food too. Idk. It was just an awkward experience. But the food was SO good! I couldn't eat it all and my husband loved it the next day cold too. The outdoor space it nice enough, eat there or take it home. I will for sure be back and will update my review with my experience as I feel like I'm an awkward person anyways so maybe it was just me and I was reading too much into my interaction."
"Amazing food, best if you order ahead! I read some of the low reviews, seems like people walked in confused, not knowing what they wanted. The 6.99 two thighs two drumsticks is so amazing! The Fries are great!"
"YUM! I visited Ollie Birds for the first time today and it is delicious! We got the half bird (all white meat) and will definitely be back to try the sides, wraps, and salads. The all white half bird is very generous. The breasts were huge, and one of them was plenty for me and my toddler and 1 year old. The service is excellent and super friendly. Don't miss out on this place!!"
"Stopped in on the way back to Austin. Got the gizzards and gravy, drive thru, it took an extra few minutes to get but they were freshly hot. Gravy was good and batter was perfect for gizzards. Not sure about anything else, but would like to try more next time I'm in Luling. Good sweet tea too."
"Chocolate pie and buttermilk pie were amazing. Definitely one of the best buttermilk pie slices I've ever had - loved that it was kind of citrusy! Chocolate pie was way better than expected, I feel like they're usually super mid but the bitterness from the cocoa powder on top offset the sweetness of the actual pie, and the whipped cream wasn't sweetened much so overall very balanced."
"This place is so good!! Good prices especially comparing to other places amount of food and price. Plenty of sauce to go around and the chicken is always crunchy the Mac is always cheesy the fries are always frenchy. 100/100 would recommend."
"Fries - 8/10 (Well seasoned)Sandwiches- 4/10 (chicken quality was good but the patties were very salt and unique flavors were not good)Other - didn't come with ranch even though ordered and it's a ghost kitchen so not ideal"
"I finally made it to Whip My Soul, and let me tell y'all--this place is the real deal! From the moment I walked in, the staff welcomed me like family, with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. You can feel the love and care they put into both their food and their service. Now, let's talk about the food--absolute perfection! I had the chicken & waffles, fried gizzards, and a Kool-Aid from their drink station, which was such a nostalgic touch. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. The waffles? Light, fluffy, and the perfect balance of sweet and buttery. And those fried gizzards? Chef's kiss! They were cooked just right--crispy, flavorful, and not too tough. This is true soul food, the kind that reminds you of home. I caught myself doing a little happy dance after the first few bites because it was that good. I'll definitely be back, and if you haven't tried Whip My Soul yet, you're seriously missing out!"
"Don't let the name of this delicious food truck fool ya! Grab these delicious panko-crusted tendies while having a drink at Friends and Allies Brewing. I was able to place an order with a QR code and within fifteen minutes, I grabbed my hot and fresh 2 piece tenders with waffle fries. Y'all the crunch was 100% there and I loved the combo meal. I have to say it was the right amount of food without feeling super full. You can choose your choice of dipping sauce but I had to go with their bbq sauce. What's slick about Dipping Springs Tender is how well they've perfected it. They also have vegetarian versions with a tofu-style breaded tender."
"This place has been on my radar for a little while, so I decided to give it a try, because why not? Prior to coming here, I was familiar with the Peri-Peri flavor, but only as it relates to this flavor profile on prawns. Pil-Pil, Pili-Pili, Piri-Piri, or Peri-Peri, is Africa's most famous flavor. One of the keys to that Mozambican Peri-Peri flavor is sun baked fermented African Birdseye chilies, and as such, I was looking for this distinct flavor when I came across this place. When I arrived at the entry of the establishment, I was greeted by an employee and provided with a sample of the chicken and was advised the food was Portuguese in origin. Yes, while this may be true, it is actually a South African staple and it's the Mozambique Portuguese who introduced it into the country, so if you're visiting South Africa and want the best Peri-Peri experience it's the Portuguese restaurants to look for. Now, for the meal, I ordered the following: Chicken tender lunch combo with rice and potato salad. The chicken for this dish was grilled, and the Peri-Peri sauce I elected to use for my order had slight heat with notes of mango and garlic. There's a lot more going on than just heat. The spicy rice was flavorful and complimented the chicken entree well. Loaded FriesThe fries were covered in Peri-Peri seasoning topped with shredded chicken, peri garlic, and Peri Mozambique sauce. The fries marinated their crispness while covered with Peri sauce, which was a welcomed surprise. The chicken for this dish, like the lunch combo, was grilled. Mango Pudding Shot I've never had a mango pudding shot such as this one. I was introduced to mango pudding shots in Hong Kong at Yum cha. However, these were different from what I am accustomed to. These mango shots here were light, refreshing, sweet, and topped with green and red canned fruit. *This place also serves Mojitos! I didn't try one but am jazzed to know they offer them. Total for these menu items $27.56"
"As passerby's, we enjoyed the prompt service and good food. I ordered the 3 piece dark chicken which I enjoyed. The mash potatoes were good. Kids shared the chicken strip platter and said "they are really good!" I wish we ordered a dozen of the busquits, so yummy. Now, for the funnel cake fries, it's the taste of a funnel cake without the mess! The only thing is the order is small, one order per person. I assume you have to ask for napkins, spoons, and forks because we didn't receive any which made the drive a little difficult."
"My wife was craving waffles. We couldn't just go to any waffle place. We had to find a place that specialized and made waffles with love. After looking around, we came across waffle love. The name has to say it all.We walked in and felt nice and welcoming. Cashier had so much insight. Let us know what he loved and try the chicken and waffles. Which, by the way, is amazing. We also had the Red Wonder with bananas added to it. This was by far the best waffles I have ever had. So they actually make their waffles with dough and not batter. Which makes them dense and sweet... so good. Never had a genuine Belgium waffle until today. Waffle lo e we will be back ASAP. You can bet!"
"Definitely worth the 10 mile trek from I-10. The staff was very friendly and they serve the best fried chicken I've had in quite a long time. It was breaded and fried to order, and delivered to our table hot and juicy. Our bill was under $22 for three dark meat combos (2@2 piece and 1@3 piece) with one side and drink each. Highly recommended for both quality and value."
"Didn't know I liked my thighs tender until ravaging a plate of these fried stems one (slightly) drunken night. Fried to a beautiful crisp and seasoned just so; they most definitely hit the spot. A wonderful addition to the plate were the bed of fries lying underneath the chicken. Same golden crunch as the chicken with another flavor blast from the seasoning. Ask for extra sauce, as the portion of the small little thang didn't match the mountain of deliciousness that accompanied it."
