"Cafe Lago is a total vibe! The food is seriously good - I'm still dreaming about their scramble... And their coffee? Chef's kiss. It's the perfect pick-me-up.The outdoor seating is super chill, especially on a sunny day. Plus, the staff is super friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a cozy spot to eat, drink, and relax, this is the place to be."

"This is my favorite Boulangerie in Texas and is owned by the sweetest French couple. I'm so glad they opened this location in Austin since I'm a little reluctant to drive all the way down to San Antonio from Dallas for some French goodies. Everything here is so fresh and the service is kind and fast. Also, love the display of their baked and refrigerated goods. For my family, the ham and butter sandwich and the croissants are favorites. Oh and eclairs when they are available!"
"Quick shoutout to my favorite coffee"shop" in deep south. It's a cute trailer parked out front of Lustre Pearl with some seating and shade. Being connected to the Pearl means you've got room to spread out and let the kids run in the back before it transitions into a bar scene (although I've never been there late)Most importantly the espresso drinks are fantastic and they'll even serve them in a proper ceramic cup despite the small size of the establishment. Can't go wrong with a cappuccino or cortado. And their cherry turnovers are flaky and sweet. The people are friendly too.So if you're tired of the Starbucks on Slaughter trust me, you deserve better, and you'll find it here. 5 stars."
"Great coffee and lovely service! The new building is absolutely beautiful and tucked between two churches. Can't wait to come around again and bring some friends!"
"Heard many great things about Prana, so I decided to come here with a friend. The place was so lovely in person. We ordered an ice peach tea and yogurt drink (not pictured). Although it was midday in the heat, the sprinklers and big shared umbrellas really helped cooled us down. We stayed for quite a bit as it felt very comfortable and relaxing. Kate, the owner then dropped by with scones on the house for us. It tasted delicious! Overall, I really think this place is wonderful for a morning or afternoon drop by with friends. The light pink ambience and the touches to it makes it great for instagram shots, but it also is a chill place to gather with friends and enjoy refreshing, organic drinks. We will be back!"
"Ordered Catering for Thanksgiving, they have an a la carte menu or packages for larger groups. Do not skip out on the mojo !"
"This space, close to Breed & Co. in Westlake, is bright and open w seating inside and out. There is counter service, seat yourself, and food is delivered to your table. The long line when we arrived moved pretty quickly. And the kitchen was quick, too, as there was not a long wait for our food. The selection of fresh baked pastries is over the top! We shared a Nutella croissant, which was delicious. My breakfast sandwich--an everything bagel with scrambled eggs and arugula--was made to order and very tasty. My dining partner ordered the breakfast sandwich on a croissant, and it must have been the most buttery croissant either of us had ever seen-- absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to go back and try some of the other items I saw being delivered to the tables around us. This is a great spot for a cup of coffee and a pastry or a full meal. Welcome to Westlake!!"
"How have I lived in GTWN for a year and just now trying this cafe!? I've been missin out on some goodness. Today, a friend recommended this spot for light flare like sandwiches, soups, salads, etc. I stopped in a little after 2pm on a Wednesday, note that they close at 3. It reminds me of small grandma kitchen. Old timey down home vibe. I ordered take-out. Combo with scoop of chicken salad (so yummy), broccoli salad (oh my gosh it's good), fruit (very fresh) and a pecan muffin (I'm in love). Y'all, I'll be eating lunch here so much! Like a lot!"
"My husband and I went out to the Fat Cat Lounge and Cafe today for lunch. Lemme tell y'all everything we had was amazing! We started with the trio dip appetizer (we chose Crack Chicken Dip, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, and their Hummus) all were freaking delicious! We had the special Watermelon Gazpacho Soup which was so flavorful and refreshing...we both finished it and wanted to lick the bowl clean it was so good! For our main meal I had the Bacon Jam Blue Cheese Burger with Chef Rob's farm raised beef. It was one of the best burgers I have ever had! My hubby ordered the Chef's Special a Pulled Pork Sandwich and it was so delicious! Probably the best pulled pork sandwich he's ever had! If you haven't tried Fat Cat Lounge and Cafe, you need to do it right now!! We will be adding this restaurant to our favorites and will be making regular visit to try out more of their menu! Just so you know everything on the menu is local farm to table! We didn't have time to get pictures of our food because we were hungry and everything was sooooo good!"
"We were thrilled to discover this hidden gem! A hot pastrami sandwich, lentil soup, homemade blueberry muffin and the BEST cup of tea I've ever had in the USA . I'm a Brit and would head back here just for the excellent tea! Served in individual tea pots, it was made to perfection. My new fave Austin spot."
"The Migas were absolutely on point. Sooooo delicious!! The homemade tortillas were to die for!! Huge portions and very reasonable pricing. Absolutely recommend Anita's authentic Mexican!!"

This is a new Mexican cafe, open for breakfast and lunch. They did a good job with the ambiance inside, with beautiful barn doors and a butterfly theme. And they keep the place exceptionally clean. Our server made us feel very welcome even though we showed up just before closing time (they close at 2 pm Tue - Sun and are closed all day Monday). Half the menu was breakfast and the other half was lunch. Beverages were colas, coffee, tea, lemonade and horchata. Lunch here is your typical Mexican lunch menu: tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, fajitas, etc. They also had two specials today: Enchiladas Verde and Quesabirria Tacos. We tried and enjoyed both. The enchiladas had a lot of chicken in them. And while the birria lacked its typical au jus to dip the tacos in, they were still quite authentic and flavorful. The complimentary chips and salsa comes with a bean dip, and with two additional chile options, a spicy red chile and a chile verde. It was nice having all those options. For a healthier option, they also offer a large bowl of tortilla soup with spanish rice on the side. I'm not sure why they choose to open a Mexican restaurant right next to a Mexican restaurant, but the two restaurants are very different and keep different hours. We will come back to try their breakfast, as that appears to be their specialty.

I've been to this place a few times and i've had mixed experiences. It seems as if the pastries are very well made. However the coffee is definitely a mixed bag. Today I ordered a cortado and let the woman know what I was expecting and she did a great job. If I could give the almond croissant a ten out of five I would. It.Was absolutely a ethereal and one of the best i've ever had. All the pastries look amazing.I have yet to eat some of the savory food but they had offerings of croque monsieur, cassoulet, chicken with mushrooms, etc. I absolutely love french food and especially country style. This place is definitely very pricey. It was $17.14 for 1 pastry and coffee plus 18% tip. Ugggh ...so I won't visit often. That said, I will visit agaun when a real French pastry fix is in order.

We've visited twice now a week apart. Both on Saturday morning around 10:30. We ordered online both times and I arrived at the window at the time they quoted (15 minutes). First, the coffee we've tried was very good. Great preparation and flavor. I wish there were options for a little larger size, especially on the iced coffees. It's only 12 ounces. Price is in line with other small coffee shops. On the first visit, it was about a 10 minute wait. On the second visit the 3 drinks were ready. They have breakfast tacos, too, but you cannot order them online. I got the last bean and cheese on the first visit and it was very good. Yesterday, I got a bean and cheese and a Migas taco. They were both so hot I could not hold them wrapped in their foil. The migas taco must have been directly against the heating element because one side was toasted and stuck to the foil. The tortilla was too tough to comfortably chew. The best thing about the location is the outdoor seating at Lustre South. Great place to take the dogs and relax.

Great coffee! Tucked away just off Main Street in Taylor, this spot is one of the greats on my list. Friendly people, quick service, and a super neat south Texas vibes. Try the Dillo Latte or the Dillo Cortado!

A very aesthetically pleasing smoothie and juice shop on the east side you really can't miss the bright pink shop. You order at a walkup window and there is only outside seating but it's shaded thankfully. The young lady who took my order was very helpful in helping decide what to get since it was my first time. I ended up getting the "I speak" smoothie which was $12. She was so nice and also offered me a sample of their cold pressed juice which I gladly took. The smoothie is really good! Like better than I thought it would be because I'm not sure how good a smoothie can be for $12 but was pleasantly surprised. Would I come back? Probably but it wouldn't be frequent. I'd say it's worth a try.

Happy there is a new full service location before 6th street fully opens again. There is a long line as was always the case in the other location too but it always moves fast. The challenge is always finding seating. This location is bright with outdoor and indoor seating. Same friendly staff and great coffee/ pastry options. I wouldn't recommend this place for working on your laptop because it's usually very busy and loud and it's best to be respectful and allow everyone a chance to sit and enjoy their food.

"The best taqueria taco truck in Austin love this place tacos de bistec are so delicious Will definitely come back it's an amazing place so clean and great service the salsas are the best"
"I used to go here like 5-6 years ago and it was always a nice place to grab a light breakfast/brunch or to splurge on what I think are the best and most authentic beignets in town. I recently moved back and man it looks like they've blown up in terms of popularity. And you know what, good for them. They deserve it. It's a great local spot. I'll come a lot of times just for coffee and beignets, but I'm also a fan of their breakfast sandwich. It can get a little busy during the weekends but I've never had to wait too long. If you're lucky enough to sit at the bar and have Miles help you out, he's the man. Really friendly guy and a great bartender."
"Honestly, I always have good service at Better Half! This time, Kansas was awesome! First, I got Mildred Pear as my drink! Ummm why would I not get a drink with my name ! It was basically an old fashioned with a hint of sweetness! My burger was yummy, I added some jalapeños to add some spice to my food. The carnitas queso was also enjoyable AND shareable. As always, i will definitely be back!"
"Cool place, good location. Latte tasted like it was made with Maxwell House, some of the worst tasting Java I've had. Bummer, because we were trying to shop local."
"Went here for brunch with my friends and everything was delicious! Coffee was god and really enjoyed the breakfast crepe, so filling! My friends went to for a dessert crepe and thought it was the perfect amount of sweet. It was my first time going and the staff was kind in helping me order. They have indoor and outdoor seating, clean restrooms and great vibes. This place gets packed so pick a good time to go. Will definitely be back"
"True home style Italian with a local flare. Their Carmella's Special Pizza is one of the best and their pasta and entrees are all amazing as well."
"I wish I worked in this complex so I could eat here every day! It's insane how delicious and affordable this is! I mean seriously Pecan Crusted Chicken, Duchess Potatoes and Veggies .... the serving of chicken is massive & there are tons of options from fresh salads and sandwiches to chef prepared meals & desserts!"
"I came here for a drink and to chill on a Sunday afternoon. I got a delicious spicy margarita and Zucchini Kills waffle cream pie. Both were delicious. There are plenty of places to relax inside or outside. You have other options for food and Zucchini Kill bakery store on site. Parking is on the street and can be challenging depending when you go. Overall a great place to grab a drink and chill"
"Nice little brew, coffee, cocktail pub. Probably the only of its kind. A choice of wonderful locally brewed beers, nice Czech style beers and we know Czech beers.Nice casual atmosphere."
"We had a great experience at First Watch! It was our first time here and the service and food were great, we'll for sure be back again. We arrived a little after 9am on a Saturday and as we were leaving it was starting to get busy, but we were seated quickly & our server was awesome. All of the food arrived quickly and was fresh and SO yummy- definitely recommend for breakfast/brunch!"
"Best Little Mom & Pop Cafe in Central TexasThis place opened up as a second location for the now defunct Hobo Junction Cafe in Liberty Hill who lost their lease. My family eats here multiple times weekly and the staff is always absolutely golden. Most of them have become our friends so a visit to The Junction Cafe for us is almost like family. It doesn't hurt that my Pastor's wife works there too. The owner and kitchen manager met in culinary school and the latter is a transplant from Louisiana so he brings a Creole perspective that is often quite evident in the specials and daily side dishes so the results are Emeril and your Grandma cranking it out bad there. It's so good it makes your tongue want to jump out of your mouth and slap your brains out. I can't say enough good about the place. I think I just talked myself into a Hobo Omelet, Hash Brown's and an English Muffin, crunchy from the griddle for breakfast today. Some others have complained about slow service but I only see this on really busy evenings and delays can occur any place that is packed wall to wall like this place on Friday Nights when they have their Catfish Special with all the sides and Fried Shrimp as an optional add on. Sometimes we can't get into the parking lot on Friday Evenings so we head across the street for some of the best Tex-Mex and the worst service you ever had but that is another restaurant review. Give The Junction Cafe a try. If it's breakfast or lunchtime ask for Jenny or Susan as servers, I love them both and there are none better!"
"Love everything on their menu. Right now I am obsessed with their breakfast burrito and their salmon toast with capers. Great for breakfast, lunch, snacks or dinner. House made chai is also not to be missed."
"Great food and cocktails! We had original and cantaloupe margaritas, cucumber ranch water, queso, shrimp tostadas, and tacos. Everything was delicious and there were other items I will return to try."
"Well located cafe right off the trail. I love the Furniture and aesthetic. The food offerings are fairly good too. The egg sandwich was good as was the chocolate raspberry cookie. The problem I have with this place is that I've been here around 8X, as I live close by, and without fail, every single interaction with the baristas has been negative. As many other reviewers have said, they are not friendly (have interacted with 3 different people) and they act like being there and taking your order is a chore and a bother. I really wish they could fix the staff issue, because this place could be really great. Also, I've noticed that even if I select to tip under $1 it still charges me at least $1 in tip and overrides what I entered. If I'm buying a bottle of water, I'm not tipping , so this is concerning to me and seems dishonest."
"OCCASION: coffee (1 made-to-order coffee)Food: N/ADrink: 5/5Service: 5/5Environment: 3/5Price: 3/5OVERALL: 4/5Coffee bean: KenyanSize: 16ozPrice: $5.09PROS:- no line- people here are extremely friendly- great coffee (if you are a coffee snob, order made-to-order. It's good. Their latte is pretty good too.)- cozy environmentCONS:- this cafe is a bit hard to find. It's in the 100 Congress building. - made to order coffee takes about 5min. So I would not get it if you are in hurry. - no sofa/comfortable chairs"
"This restaurant near campus serves very simple breakfast and lunch food at reasonable prices. The portions are modest, so you should definitely order sides if you are hungry. There are tiny parking lots in the front and back that each hold about two cars, but there is also free street parking in the neighbourhood.I came here with my friend for Sunday brunch, and there was no wait when we were there from 11am till noon. I ordered the Santa Barbara omelette, which came with an English muffin or toast on the side. The food was very ordinary. I like omelettes, and this one was pretty normal. My friend ordered the American scrambled, which came with a side of English muffin or toast, and she chose fruit for her additional included side. The fruit turned out to just be two pieces of watermelon, which she said was good, but we were definitely expecting an assortment of fruit."
"Love the options and flavors here! Staff are friendly and helpful. They even have a separate plant based menu. However, the plant based menu does not mean "vegan"The biscuit has buttermilk in it. Not sure what else, that's the only one I asked about. I wish they would make the plant based menu 100% plant based and vegan friendly. Hopefully one day in the future!"
"Service was top notch. We had the house coffee it was good, but we preferred a stronger brew. But those bagels. Texas got donuts and kolaches for truck tires. But a good chewy bagel with a healthy smear is like panning for gold. Geeez Texas these bagels must be born in New York and flown to the rivery daily. They are just that good. Looking forward to our next doctors appt to stop back in. In the meantime mazaltov!!"
"I stumbled upon this cute smoothie place today. The "perfect date" smoothie was so delicious! It had just the right amount of sweetness. I was super impressed. I do wish they would use an alternative to Styrofoam cups. Tip: They also charge a fee to use your credit card that I was not aware of. I'm sure I just missed some signage on that. All this being said, delicious food and very nice staff. I will be back."
"This was my first time here and I can describe it as the Telmex place you bring your picky parents to. I prefer other establishments but I can't Faulk this place as they are busy and very courteous to their patrons. Chips and dips, trifecta, were not the best but again it is your parents (out of town) version of what Tex mex would be.Drinks were good and they had something for everyone. It seemed like a mix between a Chuy's and perhaps a Don Pablo's but the locals were lined up with to go orders the whole time we were there. This is a place for families and large parties. I sat at the bar and watched the game while I awaited my relleno which I've had better but I compare a business to itself and I found it to be good.So if you want original Tex mex I'd say this isn't it but if you have a large group who has different ideas of Tex mex then this is your place!"
"I love the fact that Barton Creek market is close to my home and it is a meat, deli market serving burgers, smoothies, drinks ect. Grocery store with many extras it is off of Barton Creek Blvd. Ok, so I can also tell you it's a wine store carrying many types of wines cabernet, merlots pinot noir lists goes on and with many selections quality wines plus. A small cafe resturant that serves tilapia with veggies chicken pastas roasted chicken rice pork tamales lasagna many item menus. One con is the area at night is sort of vacant but in the daytime it truly comes alive with students from St.Gabriels school and elderly people who live nearby assisted living next door people who live in the area. So if you happen to be close by do drop in believe me you will find almost anything at Barton creek market conscience store very clean store personal is helpful. Cheese burgers are made with ground chuck in boars head cheese fantastic. Pantinis and wraps delicious. In the front of the market is a cafe sitting area so you can enjoy a smoothie, squeezes espresso bar drinks fruit juices and freshly squeezed. Trust me you won't be bored here so enjoy."
"This place is a gem - maybe my new favorite restaurant in Austin, and I've lived here 30 years. Stopped in to grab a coffee, but ended up getting a dirty chai and an impulsive grilled cheese - both were 10/10.Dirty chai was perfectly spiced and foamy, not overly sweet. The branding on the cup was also adorable. The grilled cheese had absolutely no business being that good, it was out of control - I can't remember the last time I ate something that perfect. Flavor and texture explosion. The crust on the bread was crunchy, and the outside of the bread was crisp, but the inside was light and fluffy - a perfect balance.Just enough of that 5 year aged cheddar spilled off the side and got toasty, the raclette was soft and stretchy, and the Gruyère gave it an addictive nuttiness. The tomato jam sent it over the top.Such a beautiful sandwich - can't wait to try the rest of the menu!"
"The food was good. I had a croissant egg/bacon sandwich and an Americano coffee. Quality was really good and they managed to make the croissant into a sandwich type of bread. It was more crispy than soft pillowy of a breakfast sandwich because of the way the croissant was made. This is a cute cafe in downtown Austin in a lobby area of a building. The service was good even though you had to order at th counter and they brought the food to you. Coffee was good. We went here because it was walkable from our hotel. They also had savory and sweet crepes. I would return again when I'm in the area."
