"Busy today around 11:30am on a Sunday. Which I expected. I pretty much knew what I wanted so I was able to get in and out pretty quickly. Even got up to the register quick. Cashier was awesome! I bagged my own groceries, I didn't have a whole lot. She asked if I had coupons, and I did! So glad she said, cause I forgot. I had an email for $10.00 off $50.00 order. And my total was $50.48! Seriously, I didn't have clue I would have enough. So she took $10.00 off my total. But I also bought Dr Kellyann soups which was buy one get one free. So I saved another $6.00 in total, I saved $16.00 and that's pretty awesome! Love those coupons. Central Market isn't near me at all. But they have items that I can't find at other grocery stores, so I make the trek down there every so often. The coupons are motivational for sure."
"One of my favorite bakeries! The cakes are amazing and the service is great. This bakery is always busy and the parking lot gets full quickly! They have a delicious assortment of baked goods with indoor seating consisting of round cafe tables and chairs. Outdoor picnic table seating is also available. This is my go to bakery for special occasions!"
"SERVICE/AMBIANCE- Small parking lot - QR codes at the table which you scan to order- Overall, a cute spot for happy hour!FOOD- I ordered the Wagyu burger and it was super flavorful. I got a side of fries and they were also good but a bit salty.- My friend ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and they enjoyed it.- Good portion sizes"
"Amazing place. Such a great gem. Très bon! Très bon! Great service with people who speak French, and the interior is very welcoming. Love it, defiantly coming back."
"I have been remiss in not updating my initial review for so long! I must have just gone when they were having an off day, because this place is now in my regular rotation. The bread is always soft and fresh and the sandwiches made with love and lots of fresh veggies. The staff are cheerful and welcoming. What a gem of a local spot!"
"Been to this place a few times and always absolutely enjoy being here. The service is always really good and it has a real laid-back chill vibe. This is the hole in the wall Mexican restaurant you have been looking for. The food is authentic and full of flavor. I definitely recommend coming here."
"Came around 9:30am on a Sunday. Not too many folks eating, and therefore the wait staff was extremely accommodating and allowed us to sit outside with our dog!The food order was taken quickly (and again they were VERY accommodating to specific substitution requests!). We both got the standard breakfast (eggs, sausage/bacon, and a side). I upgraded to the biscuits and gravy. The food was filling but not overly heavy as can sometimes happen with diner food. Some of my fruit was in bad shape, but there was a large enough portion that I could pick around it!The tables outside were a bit dirty, but it was our choice to sit outside. Overall nice visit and quality food at a damn good price!"
"Came across a pic posted for Heaven's Bistro Bakery on IG showing a variety of French-inspired pastries that looked so pretty that I just had to taste for myself, in hopes that they would be pretty AND delicious.Well folks, here is my feedback from our visit, as 1st time customers (adult daughter and I) on Friday, 11/01/2024 - around 10:30am and why I'm giving our visit a 3-star review -1. Atmosphere / Vibe -While not very big inside they do have inside seating - both small tables & a few table tops w/ stools that were oddly designed because they had "bike pedals" for your feet that made it difficult to get comfortable on. We did eat our food there and not much of a vibe. Very quiet inside, which made it very easy to hear any conversation happening around you. 2. Food & Drink-We did order a few items - Chicken Pesto Omelette (very flavorful & definitely recommend); egg & cheese croissant (egg was lacking flavor); chocolate croissant (tasty); fruit danish (my favorite..very delicious!); honey almond cookies (tasty and not too sweet). My daughter was given the wrong food order & despite it not being very busy & several employees working, it did take a while to get the correct food order. 3. Staff / Customer Service - Friendly-ish, aloof, & very French-inspired 4. Parking Situation -Have their own parking lot right in front of the building. Final Thoughts - Eh, okay if I'm the area. Hope this info helps. Rebecca"
"I came here after a morning run and had their Super Bun sandwich -- it was super delicious The whole wheat bun was incredibly soft and provided just the right amount of bread to balance out the strong flavors of the bacon, frittata, and salsa. I most strongly recommend it!The cashier was very friendly and efficient. They also brought our food out on the patio, which was lovely and tucked away from the buzz of 5th St. The whole store has a super cute vibe and I'll be back soon to try some of their baked goods.I didn't see a parking lot, but parking was easy to find on Orchard St, right in front of the restaurant."
"Don't sleep on Teal House. I've live in Austin for 4 years and finally made my way here.Y'all, this coffee house is a bakery in back. With a selection of coffees & teas to pair with fresh baked pastries, it's a yes and more please for me.The breakfast croissant has a crispy, yet perfectly soft and fluffy inside. The kolaches are from heaven and I usually don't like them. They have fresh sourdough bread.Y'all, this place was awesome. Huge fan!"
"I moved a few months ago to the area and have enjoyed having Russell's as my local cafe. Service is friendly, coffee and food is great-to-good-enough, and there's plenty of sunny, cozy space to relax.I'd give five stars if the hot veggie croissant wasn't always sold out and/or more vegetarian options, the chairs were more comfortable, and fading and worn exterior and interior decor was refreshed a bit."

Great for lunch and work. Freshly prepared lunch at the Central Market Cafe made for a nice spot to get on a Zoom call. My new favorite office on the road spot. Eat, work and be merry!!!

Celebrating Valentine's Day at Uppercrust Bakery! I purchased chocolate covered strawberries for my husband. Thursday will be crazy at the bakery with a bazillion pickups. Decided to avoid the rush and picked them up today. I was the official taste tester before my purchase. While it was busy but not overly busy today, there was a wait in line. I had to wait while they finished up my order.Everything I've eaten at Uppercrust basket I've love. Look forward to my b husband sharing his chocolate covered strawberries with v me...fingers crossed. There was a slight mix up about packaging of the Chocolate covered strawberries but was rectified. The cashier made the appropriate adjustments.Uppercrust basket has high quality baked goods! There were folks in the restaurant eating alone, friends catching up and senior couples.

First time and it did not disappoint. The absolute standout dish was the redfish toast. Every bite was perfect. Perfectly smoked fish. I could eat this everyday. Very close second was the wagyu burger. Kouign-amann, honey cake and salad were delicious as well. Their apple lemongrass ginger iced tea was refreshing and not sweet which I loved. 10/10 and will definitely be back.

This bakery is absolutely incredible. Everything is fresh, delicious, baked JUST right, neither under nor over. The balance between sweet and savory is magnificent; even the flakiness of croissants (chocolate and otherwise) is balanced just right. We are SO HAPPY to have found this. Absolutely worth the drive.

It's pretty popular on weekends breakfast and it stops at noon so make sure to arrive with enough time. Sometimes 25 minutes waiy around 11:00am. Cozy lively ambiance.

Had a tasty little lunch here while working on our Granger property and I'm glad Yelp led us here. The food was tasty, although my salmon was a bit overcooked. The service was good and the tea was refreshing on a 90 degree day. We will definitely be back to sample some of those baked goods! Great use of a historic old building and I love the charm and character of the place. The neighborhood is like a trip to 1950's Americana.

Literally THE BEST pastry and cake bistro in Austin! My highlight is their croissants! So so so many layers. Crispy, flaky and fluffy all at once. I love the crisp of the outer layer and the fluff and flakes within! These croissants beat the ones in France. So yes, #betterthanfranceThe tarts and cakes are amazing too. My only suggestion is they can do better with the hot stuff. The cooked eggs and french toast was average. I wish they had real silverware coz eating croissants and eggs with plastic was so hard. I might have even enjoyed it better is there was proper silverware to eat with Overall incredible place! After my first visit I went back 3X in one week! I could eat their croissants everyday but my hips won't like me so I have to pull back! Great price point! Beautiful inside and amazing lady at the counter! Krysalynn is so sweet and kind! Always welcoming and giving great recommendations! She even takes time to remember little things like I like jam with croissants! She didn't need to be reminded! Super sweet! Thank you for this place! Don't change! Don't change the croissants especially! Im addicted

"Came around 1pm. Just needed a baguette and that wonderful amazing cranberry walnut sourdough. Lord, have you had it? It's flipping good. I try not to eat too much bread, but when I do, I'm so happy I'm able to treat myself with Easy Tiger. I will be making a delicious baguette grilled slices with a few different cheese, topped with strawberries, peaches, and apple. Drizzle with a little espresso balsamic, and a traditional aged 18 years balsamic as well. That will be my little snack for tomorrow .The line was out the door today, at around 1pm, but 2 cashiers made the line move pretty fast. The young gentlemen was ver nice as I gave my order to him. And it got everything ready for me. My sour dough was sliced, which is such a great help. I have a bread knife, but I can't seem to cut a straight line. Parking lot was pretty tight. It's a decent lot, and they don't share the lot with another business, they were just busy, and the lot was full. Thankfully I did find a spot, hooray for small compact cars. Will come back for sure. I like Easy Tiger bread. I get it when I have company, and guests, and when I'm down in the area."
"I order from this location pretty consistently for work, and it's always been a good experience. All of the cookies I want are always available, the staff is friendly and greets me when I walk in, and the orders are ready fairly quickly. The Crumbl app is so dang easy to use! The cookies always come out great and I know they're delicious."
"Great service. Some of the best bread I've sampled. Needed to bring some on a flight back to SLC, and it held up well for days. Excited to try again when I'm back in town."
"If you're in south Austin and craving cheesecake, do yourself a favor and hit this place up! They are located in the Thicket Food Park along with several other food trucks. It was my first visit here and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the customer service Kimmie gave. She was so patient and understanding as me and my friend went back and forth trying to decide which ones to try. She gave us some great suggestions and even told us we could reach out and ask for other flavors from their menu be available for purchase. We made our selections and headed home but there is plenty of park bench seating at Thicket. I'm a HUGE fan of pumpkin cheesecake and it was by far my favorite with the raspberry white chocolate taking a close second. They were all delicious and I can't wait to go back and try their other flavors!"
"Locally owned. They get all their meats from another local business, Hudson's meat market. I'm so happy they are open on Sunday now! This was the perfect way to cap off a weekend after getting home from a river trip. There are so many more that I want to try that we will certainly be back. And they're in the neighborhood. I love supporting our local community."
"Hayley's is an Austin must. The cookies are perfect blend of sweetness and cuteness. It's always so hard to pick the perfect cookie since they are all so cute! The staff is always friendly and more than willing to offer suggestions."
"A cute coffee shop and pie spot in south Austin! The pies might look small but they are pretty intense!Brought these to a family gathering and they were a hit!! I personally love the key lime pie and the strawberry cheesecake. Both have a good balance and depth of flavor. Definitely recommend trying the flavors or asking the staff for recommendations!"
"Good food. Friendly staff. We got a macaron, morning bun, and other pastry. It's worth the calories."
"Love the options and flavors here! Staff are friendly and helpful. They even have a separate plant based menu. However, the plant based menu does not mean "vegan"The biscuit has buttermilk in it. Not sure what else, that's the only one I asked about. I wish they would make the plant based menu 100% plant based and vegan friendly. Hopefully one day in the future!"
"Cute little French bakery serving baked goods, desserts and coffee. If they aren't out in front, ring the bell for assistance. Food is tasty, but a tip - they don't warm it up for you."
"It's the middle of winter and so you know it's that time of year where you have your hot coffee, chocolate and pan dulces. I have had a huge craving for pan de canela for the past couple of months and finding this place made me so happy. The establishment is huge with a very large selection of authentic artesanal breads and cakes. Their pricing is also very reasonable. Service staff were all very nice. I also like that they were open late! I would definitely be a regular here if I lived in Austin."
"My fiancee and I stopped by right before closing on a week night. Sometimes people are hoping to be done the day and might give lackluster service but the lady behind the counter was super sweet and even served some people that came a bit after closing (two little kids and a mom). This place is really going above and beyond. Their Gelato is amazing, a bit of their own flair and it works. I got the Vanilla Oreo, Pistachio, Biscoff.I will be 100% going back for the Oreo and Biscoff and the Biscoff is absolutely the best flavor in my opinion. Could not be happpier with the spot and can't wait to come back to try some of the pastries."
"During our vacation to Austin, we came here in search of the famous "Hook 'em Horns" doughnut, but to no avail. Apparently, the donut shop stopped making them years ago, probably due to the lawsuit brought upon them by the University of Texas to cease using the longhorn image that they had trademarked. So what else does this small, modest donut shop have? Well, other donuts of course. When we arrived on a Monday morning at 11AM, there were still plenty of donuts left with most of the flavors still being produced. The donut shop was pretty quiet with just a few customers and a few tables for people to sit down at. We ended up ordering the maple bacon donut and a lavender donut along with some munchkins/donut holes. I know it's not really a great enough sample size to give my full opinion of the donut shop, but the donuts were solid. I can't say they were any more spectacular than my local donut shop though, but everything was good in an OK way."
"Great service, Good food! We love coming here after school to pick up dinner for the kids."
"The place looks very clean with a plain and simple decor. It got busy after I arrived in the later morning; the staff was friendly and they handled the customer volume very well. The restroom was out of order, so when I needed it, I was S.O.L. (pun intended). I came only for a donut; I bought one and a coffee. The donut was fair, but nothing to write home about. The coffee was not good. They have a few standard bench tables where you can sit down to eat. They also sell some hot foods like kolaches. There are also two large drink coolers with a fairly large selection of beverages, including milk."
"I just received a delivery of a box of cookies from Kellie's as a gift. O.M.G. Pure deliciousness! And they came with a pourable container of salted caramel and a hot fudge! The cookies were so very rich that I could only eat 1/4 at a time! There were 3 kinds of cookies in the box; snickerdoodle, Nutella and peanut butter but I believe the peanut butter may have been mislabeled because it was 100% filled with rich chocolate and I didn't taste any peanut butter. It was magnificent. I'm not much of a sweet eater but these got my attention so I know the rest of the world would love these!!!"
"Oh. My. Goodness. What a treat. We drove all the way from San Antonio just to try this place based off everything we see on TikTok and we have 0 regrets. Sooo yummy.I was worried it would be too sweet but that wasn't the case. I got the Lost in Lotus and it was the perfect sugar cookie & cookie butter combo. The ice cream was so creamy too.The staff was all so friendly and I love that you can see everything they're doing. The guy behind the counter was very helpful.Inside is a little small so I was grateful it was warm enough to sit outside. This is a must-go every time I go to Austin now."
"I went back to Pieous for lunch the other day and I take back my previous review of their pizza. We ordered the Brussels pizza and added bacon because it sounded unique and I was there with a girlfriend. Both of us wanted to venture towards a vegetable-forward pizza that we'd never be able to share with our husbands. It was delicious! Then we shared a Tiramisu for dessert and two glasses of wine. I think Pieous will now make it's way into our lunch rotation.Service-wise, it is counter service. The girl who rang us up with a smile and was able to split our tab in half. Our food was brought out to us and since we lingered for a bit of conversation, someone came and cleared our table as well. The ambiance seems modern to me. My only suggestion would be to add physcial menus, unless I missed them. As some other reviews have mentioned, they have a pretty extensive menu, but I forgot my glasses so it was challenging for my old eyes. I ended up pulling the menu up on my phone but then felt self-conscious for taking so long to decide and just ordered. I don't regret my choices, but that would be me only piece of feedback to make my experience better."
